School Chit-Chat

Yes! That's me. Right before the test is handed out I try to find all my notes (I'm so disorganized!) and review as fast as possible. It does help a little to make certain things stick in my head right before... but a whole lesson? NO...

Wow I wish could do that. But I can't even find any of my notes.
They're everywhere in my binder. :P

I just remembered something really stupid that happened in my school last week. Normally we can bring water to class as long as it's in a clear bottle. But only water. Some time last week these freshman girls brought vodka to school in water bottles. And they somehow got found out. I think they made it obvious that what they had wasn't water. So now some teachers aren't even allowing water in class... I bring one everyday though and I know my english teacher (which I have 1st period) isn't allowing it anymore. It doesn't really seem fair...

In middle school one of the guys who always gets in trouble brought a thermos full of coffee or something and spilled it on something important. It was a while ago so I don't really remember what happened but we weren't allowed to bring water for a while back then either...

Yeah my teachers are like that also. But I so tired of drinking water so I put clear liquid like Sprite Remix or the clear Gatorade in there. No one found out yet....:P

We were allowed to bring water to high school a long time ago, I heard, but years ago some idiots did the vodka thing, and they were found out and because of them we almost die of thirst in August and May -.- It's so frustrating how the one-time actions of the few can ruin it for the many for many years to come...I still wish we could bring cans of soda to school, though, but soda is treated like it's a drug or something at school. I heard a kid had six cans of soda confiscated because he merely had them at school...must have been the vice-principal or the librarian who caught him...they're the only people in the school uptight enough to care about having soda at school. Honestly, we have a pepsi machine in the lunchroom but we're not even allowed to use it. It's sort of pointless if you ask me...didn't the war on sugar end years ago? Supposedly out here in the country the folks are still worried about it V_V

On the topic of this stuff, my school just bought new vending machines, but there's a bylaw or something that takes effect next year stating that school vending machines cannot sell things like Coke or other "unhealthy" beverages... just fruit drinks and stuff. So next year will probably suck. o_o

Eh... in other news... my Japanese class might be cancelled because the school we have it in thinks we stole things from the classroom. ~_~;; So after 7 months, we might be dispersed. It's so annoying because if that happens I won't get my credit, I'll have to take the course AGAIN (and it'll be really boring), and it won't even have been our fault. =\

What kind of idiot school would deny you your credit for something they do that takes you out of a class you've been in for 7 months? If that happens you could likely protest what they're doing at a school board meeting...and why would they disperse a class for stuff being stolen from it anyway? Stuff gets stolen from classrooms all the time at all schools. They just need to keep a more alert eye on the class. That's just idiotic what they're doing...

And I also don't agree with the law in your state that bans soda from schools...kids drink a ton of soda at home, they might as well let them drink it at school...it's probably a morale-booster...as I said in my last post schools shouldn't pretend that there isn't a difference between soda and alcohol.

We have soda machines in my school too... but we can't use them between 11 and 1. It's so stupid. Same for the candy machine unless they accidently leave it on. But why even have it if we can't use them... they only made this rule last year. What makes it worse is that we can buy candy in the library all day but not from the vending machines at lunch... it's really messed up...

Well we're not allowed to drink water during most classes, there are exceptions in some, but we are allowed to bring water into Exams.
As for vending machines, we've got two of them, one for Soda and the other for Flavoured Water. Which is fair enough, plus we can use them at any time.
We also used to be able to buy sweets and chocolate at break but now because of some idiot who threw a bottle cap at our head teacher, we're can't buy anything but cereal or fruit bars at break....*sigh*

Vending Machines.
Yeah my school has an ice-cream and a snapple vending machine.
But they're so expensive.

Besides the soda machine at school, we have a Fruit Works machine and a Gatorade machine...and I know for a fact that the teachers have their own soda machine in the teachers' lounge that they're able to use whenever they want...I was actually able to get a pretty good peek into their inner sanctum once and I saw the soda machine (which is one of those bulky ones with the big buttons from the 1980s...) They shouldn't be above their own rules for us, but teachers are just like that I suppose...

We have a whole bunch of vending machines in their own little section of the caf?. There's one for pepsi drinks, coka cola drinks, milk (chocolate and other kinds too), snacks (chips, popcorn...), candy, water, and ice cream. But we can't buy sodas or candy between 11 and 1 as of last year. I still don't get why we can buy candy in the library though...

Yeah, teacher's lounges usually have soda machines in them I don't know where the high school teacher's lounge is actually. But in 7th grade when I for some reason went back to visit my 6th grade teacher with, well she wasn't ever really my friend, umm... some girl. And my teacher bought each of us a soda from the teacher's lounge...

Yeah, teachers have it all...
I had many views from it since my teachers always bring me there for some reason.
And half of the vending machines don't work in the cafeteria.
Why couldn't they just fix them?

Ours don't work well either. Most of the time they just eat your money. And then the people working in the caf? get mad when you ask them for your money back. That's why I don't use vending machines. I can get snacks and stuff from the lunch line easier than from the machines. But for some reason this year my friend has decided her new favorite place to hang out during lunch is in front of the vending machines... I'm not really sure why either...

Our school's stingy...even if they wanted new vending machines they couldn't buy them...they passed a multi-million dollar levy last year but they're using all the money to add rooms to the school and build a new grade school I think...and all the benefits that the existing school's going to get only like the eighth graders and below will get to experience -_- The only benefit I'll ever see from it might be air conditioning my senior year...but anyway we'll never get new vending machines I suppose...

Hmm, maybe she just made friends with the machine. XD
Wow, people in your school remain calm when the machine eats their money compared to mine. The people in my school would start banging it with their bookbags but even worse....they throw a textbook at it and curse at it. o_O

Our school is pretty stingy too. We just had our middle school renovated the last 2 year... (they hate my class they wait until we're gone to fix up the school) The middle school now had AC and the high school still doesn't. Once we graduate they'll probably decide to add it. They really don't like us.

Well, people in my school bang on the machines too. They'll kick 'em and curse at 'em too. But there's alway principals and teachers around so they don't really want to get into trouble. But after school people get really mad at the machines...

And I don't think she made friends with the machine! I'm not sure why she likes to stand there. But she'll never go there by herself... she always waits until someone else is going 1st...

Hmm, I smell a rat there. Something is wrong, really wrong.

Does anyone have an extra period in school? Mine does.
My friend made a petition to try terminating it.

Ugh...today was pretty much average, except the end was a bit painful >.x I was walking to my locker in a crowded hallway after the final bell and all of a sudden I feel someone barrel into my back at a high speed...I got knocked down on the floor and all my papers went flying everywhere. Turns out it was some stoner kid who was running down the hallway and not paying attention to anything -_- It was pretty embarassing, but at least he apologized and picked up my papers for me...I'm so glad nobody laughed, because I have this tendency to go ballistic when people laugh at me...it wouldn't have been pretty. I walked away from it with nothing more than a slightly-hurt kneecap...I think it went out of its socket for a second when I fell.

Tomorrow there's supposed to be an assembly called "Life in the Fat Lane" during 3rd and 4th period tomorrow...not only am I annoyed because I hate assemblies, but this sounds like one of those programs that are made just to make heavy kids feel even worse about themselves...I know of one kid, who, if that's the case, said he might get up and ransack the stage, no matter the consequences...it'd be sort of disturbing but also sorta cool that someone would stand up for the heavy kids...I just hope it isn't one of those sort of presentations that mock us for something we can't control.

So besides that, here's the good news/bad news for today...

Good News: My Spanish teacher was gone, meaning we didn't get screamed at the whole class period! (honestly, she has a horrible temper and for no reason...)

Bad News: I felt unusually bored and devoid of emotion today...it might have stemmed from something that happend this morning (which I won't talk about...let's just say it has to do with people making me feel incredibly depressed...)

I'm finally home! Well anyways...

Tomorrow we start CAPT testing... oh no! They really aren't that bad but I tend to make problems harder than they should be... this is where being ahead in math is a bad thing. Plus this is the first year we have to pass to graduate. It really stinks. And we usually take them in April/May not March. They don't like us...

I hate Mondays... I really do. I never get my homework done over the weekends unless I do it in study hall... which I didn't have on Thursday since we had Friday off. So I was 2 chapters behind in English and we had a reading quiz that I got a 50% on. My grade's already dropped a letter grade in that class as it is.

I didn't have my spanish homework done either... so luckily she didn't call on me until the end of class when I had finished doing it. And to make matters worse when she sent me up to the board she made fun of me... not because I got the answers wrong (they were all right!) but because I'm short... and I had to stretch to reach the top of the board... now THAT was uncalled for!

And tomorrow I have a civics quiz... I don't even know what we've been learning to tell you the truth. I really need a good grade to get a C- in this class... my grades that bad...

The rest of my day at school was pretty average... but those morning classes did not start my day off well...

Aww, man.
My teachers are working the whole class hard because we
have a standardized test. :P
