yeah, people smoke in our bathrooms too. and because of it the hall monitors lock the bathrooms so no one can use them. now that's cruel and unusual punishment! someone smokes in the bathroom and no one is allowed to go at all. all that does is make them find another place to smoke.

They lock the bathrooms? What's the point of having a bathroom if nobody can use them? And what if someone is about to be sick? Trash cans don't make for very good containers for that kind of thing.
Whenever I go home I always see people smoking on their way home. I don't see what's so cool about lung cancer and yellow teeth.

yeah, they lock the bathrooms. they also lock them when the hall monitors have lunch. it's so stupid.

i don't know what's so cool about it either. one of the guys i used to hang out with at the librart in 7th and 8th grade used to be a major druggie. and now he finally quit!
 
Locking the bathrooms? That completely defeats the point of having them in the school if you ask me. -_- If the administration has to resort to doing that to stop people from smoking in them... they're not doing a very good job. That's like closing down the forums whenever there aren't any staff members online to keep people from spamming. *sweatdrops*

People do drugs, etc at my school too, but they all go just off the property and they'll usually go to the mall. It's illegal to smoke on institutional property here, but the teachers never do anything about it if they see kids doing it anyway. It's really annoying... especially when this one loser on my bus starts smoking - while on the bus. No one does anything. ~_~;;

Indeed, teachers at my school don't care if people smoke as well. But there is a smokers corner where everyone who smokes goes to smoke and it is JUST off of school property.

Also, you are correct on locking the doors thing they are doing. What is the point of school washrooms if you're going to lock them? They need to take a more strategic route of preventing vandilization in the bathrooms.

i know, it's so completely unfair to lock the bathrooms. it doesn't bother me as much because i never use the school bathrooms but it's still not fair. sometimes people do go off school grounds to smoke. after school there are these people who stand just off of school grounds and sell drugs there. and no one has done anything about it either...

lol. I'm simply sleepy during all my class unless I'm talking, but either way I complete homework slowly, doesn't affect my grades much save English though. I really have to try hard to keep afloat in English class. =\

There's drug users everywhere in Edmonton, but it's not very visible in the South where I live.
 
Hmm... speaking of Edmonton, when do you guys have your spring break? @_@ I'm curious because I want to make myself available if one of my friends who lives there gets online during that time... since she doesn't have a computer anymore. ~_~;;

XD. It begins on the Monday of March 29th.
 
My spring break starts on April 5th and lasts that whole week.

Twice a month? That's about 30x less than my school. About twice a day the alarm, goes off. It's annoying but sometimes it's good to have it during boring lessons. :P
 
My spring break is March 15-19. ^_^;;

And as for fire alarms... a few months ago our school would be sent outside about twice a day because people kept pulling the fire alarms. Always during 3/4 periods. XD Actually, people would pull them in the washrooms, so all washrooms (save one for each gender) were locked. @_@ It was very inconvenient to everyone because the only washrooms that we could use were the ones on the first floor... and there are barely any classes on the first floor. o_o;; It eventually stopped, though.

Gahh, darn it. Mine starts April 5-12. It's probaly early since I have a CTB test after vacation.
 
Well, we have never had those kinds of situations, though we have had some fire drills =/

we don't get people pulling the alarms. but i remember back in elementary school there was a fire drill and we were stuck outside for at least an hour. the fire trucks came and everything. one of my friends was crying, but everyone else was playing duck duck goose. it turned out that there was a spider inside one of the alarms and it set it off... luckily it was spring so it wasn't cold outside.
 
people in my old school like the grade 8's went out with grade 4s and 3s
