School Chit-Chat

we don't get people pulling the alarms. but i remember back in elementary school there was a fire drill and we were stuck outside for at least an hour. the fire trucks came and everything. one of my friends was crying, but everyone else was playing duck duck goose. it turned out that there was a spider inside one of the alarms and it set it off... luckily it was spring so it wasn't cold outside.

A tiny spider caused a fire alarm? Wow, I been outside from a fire alarm for 3o minutes but never an hour.

i guess so... maybe it was a big spider? it was a while ago so i don't remember the exact details to it. but we were outside for a long time that day.

My spring break is during March 15th to March 26th.

Mine is from the end of March, to around the 6th of April. That's also when I'll be going to Disney again! Cool!
*does a back flip*
Awesome! I'm going to go to way more parks than I did last time!
Hehe.....

today i got my 3rd quarter progress report. mostly it was good except my civics grade... i was a little confused about my math teacher's comment too. i got a B+ in her class and for comments she had, "good effort" "recommended for level H next year" and "improve test preparation" what's up with that last one? i need to study MORE? i think a B+ is good and that's what i get on most of my tests. then she said level H? if i need to study more why recommend me for the high level class? i really don't like her. she did the same thing to my friend. she had a B and it said "needs to seek extra help" i mean come on. my teacher said she entered the grades late at night so maybe she was a little confused...

She probably just doesn't want to have you get too overconfident. There's always that "A" one step ahead!......at least that's what my teachers say hehe.....

overconfident? i don't know. i always get B's in math. i could try for the A but geometry is so boring. i really wish i could go back to algebra II. and i really didn't like my teacher last year so i think that saya a lot about this year! but at least she put a level recommendation on it. my other teachers didn't and now i'm not really sure what levels to take in certain classes... mainly spanish.

I was pretty lucky because the Spanish I took in Middle School was able to count as a credit for High School. So I don't have to go through any of that Spanish business hehe.....
Algebra 2 is better than Geometry? I was kinda happy to finally be able to get out of Algebra 1 and get to Geometry!
I'm glad the teacher gave you a reccomendation though. It would of been extremely rude if she didn't.

Well, thank goodnes to me, we have spring break this week.Lol, this is the main reason that I'm on right now :P.I just fear of coming back to school, and having a lot of things to do.But, while it's spring break, I may as well enjoy it, it only comes around once a year, and I may as well have some fun with my friends.Hmm....first I gotta call some of my friends :P

my 7th and 8th grade spanish counted toward a high school credit too. i also got one from my 8th grade algebra 1 class.

about the algebra/geometry stuff... well i am more of an algebra person. geometry just bores me. it's really confusing. my teachers not the best either. but i am glad to know that she thinks i can handle honors pre-calculus next year. i'll take it but i'm not so sure how i'll do with all these really smart kids in my class...

and the reason i'm stuck on spanish leveling is because of my situation. last year i had this teacher... well i wouldn't even consider him a teacher. let's just say he got fired after 1 year and i spent his class talking with my friend. in 7th and 8th i think i was in the top 2 in my spanish class. last year i actually forgot more spanish than i learned. he recomended me for honors this year and i didn't feel up to arguing so i accepted. when i tried to switch out at the beginning of this year my scedule wouldn't allow it so i took honors anyway. right now i have a B+... which i think is really good considering i basically learned 2 years worth of spanish in 1 year. i'll probably stay in honors next year too... but i'll have to see what my teacher thinks 1st.

@.@ Meh! I got my enrolement form for highzchool today...I'm zoooooo confuzed! Four clazzez a day, alternating clazzez, three levelz of our zchool, four zeperate buildingz, and too many differant kindz of creditz to count@_@ Mehhhhh! All exictement about high zchool iz now gone!
...At leazt I get to zee zome of my other friendz next year*coughChrisCough*^_-

I used have a Spanish teacher in the summer last year. I really didn't anything from his class. He spent too much time arguing with the bad kids that talked too much so before he even writes or teaches anything, we had to leave. Then we had to some test at the end of the year and he put questions that weren't even taught. Luckily, I knew some Italian and Spanish was sort of the same as Italian. When I got my test grades back, I couldn't believe that I failed by 2 points. Turns out, I got the highest grade. The second highest grade was 30 points different from mine.

Take note that this is one of my longest posts ever. :P

well, it wasn't that he would yell at people in our class the entire time. he just couldn't teach. actually we would yell at him and he would feel bad. it was really quite funny! for our midterm and final he gave us these huge packets... complete with crosswords. for our tests i bought a spanish/english dictionary and we would pass it around the class to figure out words. it didn't matter really because the guidance office knew he was a bad teacher and wouldn't allow any of us to fail. he couldn't fail me. i was such a suck up! i did this one report for him in spanish and he was so happy! he was like, "Oh! Miss Campos (man do i hate that name! my last name is not campos!) thank you. This is so good!" stuff like that. i just used my dictionary to translate the whole thing!

spanish and italian are very similar. i grew up hearing italian and i thinnk that's why i'm good at foreign languages. plus i took italian classes from 4th-6th grade... but those are some more bad memories...
