Seeds of Platinum: Sneak Peek

It looks really good. Giratina's picture spilling out of the border adds to that "larger than life" feel you would expect from a Legendary...but the rival's picture (what was his official name, again? Tyson?) looks out of place for some reason. ...Or maybe it's simply a lousy picture, I'm not sure...
 
I really like the brushed alluminum look (that's one tyle I haven't seen around here *thumbs up*) I hope you continue that on to the buttons and minor headers. I kind of have to agree with Ichaste that the rival does look like the odd man out. possibly because he looks like he just turned around when someone snapped a picture and he wasn't ready, but since you can't really notice a change in his outfit in the crop that you've got up there, why not just stick in the front shot of him from DP. not many would notice the difference. I also noticed that smoke-ish cone of a mountain in the bg, very nice! please continue the great work!
 
Oh, wow! I really like it so far. I do agree about the rival though, but it's not that big of a deal, the theme as a whole looks really good. I especially like the border, specifically around the top corners, very nice.
 
looks great so far.. can't wait to see how the rest turns out..

based on just the header, looks like this may well be the most popular PC theme yet.
 
It looks incredible as I said earlier Jake, well done. Looking forward to more. :D This should turn out as a very popular theme.

I told you already, Jake, but it was looking amazing when you had the silver/blue-ish thing going on. Now that you've made it brown, I really don't care for it too much.

It's still a really nice theme, and one of your best-made themes. I just think the tannish/brownish color scheme is hideous. :x
 
I agree on the brownish colour scheme not being particularly fitting. It doesn't seem to show its consistency towards the silver tones you've scattered about on the banner and even on the background. Something gray would be more nicer, or perhaps just tone down the density of the murky colours you seem to have in place already.

Otherwise I like it, it's quite a breath of fresh air from other themes you've made already.

I agree with Mork on this one as well, when you had that deep blue going on it looked much better. The tan looks okay and all, but I think the blue matches much better with the 'steel' theme.

Just my extra two cents~
 
The tan just...really doesn't scream "PLATINUM!" to me and just looks out of place. Like Siggy and Orby said, silver with some accents of that blue you had before would really go well with a steel/metal/platinum theme.
 
I see what you weere getting at with the tan and it kinda grew on me (save for later use in another theme ;) ), But I do agree with the others that the tan just doesn't go as well with the metalics and brushed aluminum effect you have in the banner. what you really ought to have is that same brushed aluminum effect either in the areas where the members avatar is or in the area where the posts' message is and have it at like 50% opacity or something. being that there are a lot of Blue themes already perhaps more grey, cobalt (I don't believe I've seen that shade in any theme), or even maybe and Orange red color (like rust?) would better suit this theme.
 
To be honest, I don't like it at all. :x*shot* It's not one of your bests. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out.
