Exactly! I love it when characters have real flaws. Serena taking time to figure out what she wants was a wonderful method to give her depth, to make her feel real.

Thank you! :) I actually really loved her original design, but I also totally fell for her updated look aswell; it's super cute :D

Currently I mostly have stickers/cards of her so far, but I hope to have a complete collection of her and merch that is obviously of her actual Pokemon, but I have a long way to go XD
I just moved so my collection is all packed up, but soon I can start unboxing and will post my little Serena collection soon :D I can't wait to order her amazing figure Tomy made <33

Sounds like you have the start of a great collection! :D I look forward to seeing it, hope the move has been going well! Ah yes, that amazing figure is currently on the way to me after months of waiting for a semi-decent price. Hope you manage to find one as well! <3

Can't wait to see it! I haven't ever collected anything like that, mostly because I'm worried once I'll start, I'll end up spending way too much money. {XD}

Why you want to join: Serena has been my favourite female protagonist in the whole of the pokemon anime series and i'd actually be honoured to join a fan club of hers.

What is your favorite thing about Serena? I'm not sure, but I think its her cute blushing face, her girlishness, and her potential to be an extremely good pokemon trainer.

Yes, she's now had her new design for more episodes than her original one and I do have to admit it's come quite a long way. I still recall my first reaction to the redesign especially with the emotion that surrounded Serena cutting her hair. I felt like it was the anime's interpretation of trainer customization plus it makes me see Serena more different between the games and the anime, in that she now has more drastically different counterparts which was a nice change to the usual formula.

What is your favorite thing about Serena? Um, first off I don't think I dislike anything about her. Haruka was my favorite for years, but I actually think I prefer Serena more now. I guess my favorite thing is that for a Pokemon character she seems to have more depth than some, and her new design is really cute. I know that's two things, but oops. I could keep going because narrowing it down is difficult, but I'll leave it at that. ;;;

And, yeah, the trainer customization bit was part of why I liked that they did it! Also, it's super cute, and I hope she keeps this outfit / hairstyle, or something similar if she does change it up a third time. If they were trying for the character customization feel, it could happen. o:

She really does seem completely different from the games now.
 
I liked the earlier Serena more than the one we have now, but I guess even the new one is good. Just wondering when will we see her Delphox?

I remember initially hoping she would have her starter fully evolve at the end of XY a la May's Blaziken. But after looking at the big picture and the fact it appears it Pokken Tournament, I think Braixen is more marketable than Delphox and they'll probably have her stay a Braixen for the sake of marketing because I remember people hating Delphox more than the other final evos of the Kalos starters.
