Hm, I'm not very sure. But it looks to me like some deer/stag thing, or a tailless dog with large, head-feather-things. :0

I haven't heard any news of whether or not Nintendo is doing events by Wi-Fi now, but I'll sure participate if they do! :D (But it had better not be like that kind of "Log in one this ONE day within this ONE half-hour time frame to claim your Shaymin! Don't miss out!" madness.)

But they might end up putting Shaymin onto a game like Pokemon Ranger?
Although I have nothing to worry about, I got Wifi. :D

What animal does Skymin represent?
I reckon Skymin is kinda.. canine-like. Somehow it kinda reminds me of Vulpix so maybe.. fox-like? XD
Nah, I don't have much of an idea.
 
That Reminds u that it should be an Official Wolf in our Hideout XD HAHAHAHA XD. yea Skymin Looks like Wolf/Fox to me. While Shaymin is a Hedgehog with a Fur instead of Spikes XD

Definetly, a deer. Although, at some angle I guess it could look like a wolf...sorta. Creative thinking though!

I agree with the statements that Skymin represents a deer, though like Sanctuary said it looks like it has some canine aspect. And its ears look a bit like Terriermon's, not really though cause its missing the green ends and its not quite as long.
 
Skymin is just one that makes you scratch your head wondering what the heck its based on.

I think is a deer. When I first saw it I thought it was Stantler preevo!

This is from Bulbapedia, it says that it has a canine-like appearance.
 
Hmmmm...so it goes from being a grassy looking hedgehog to canine-like when it becomes Skymin.... Unusual but such a change isn't totally unique among pokemon.

Then again one can say a hyena looks like a canine but I know it isn't.

Bulbapedia's is just someone's opinion on what it looks like.. Skymin looks like a whole bunch of things. XD

I reckon! Like it's a really random change actually from hedgehog to Skymin. Like it grew it's legs & someone shaved off all it's grassy hedgy hair thing.

For some reason Crimson's post just reminded me of Sonic the Hedgehog. ;D
Skymin is Sonic except it walks on four feet/paws/whatever.

Agreed, its got a bit of each of those animals and then some probably as well.
 
Yea, it does have those characteristics. Skymin's part wolf, part fox, and part deer. Wow, so many 'parts'.
 
I will join and I just love Skymin, it looks so cool, I love the sprite and it was a great Pokémon on the battle side.

I think Skymin's much better in battles than Shaymin though, with the heightened speed and attack (or something like that, I dont want to check right now.)
