i just found myself a shiny Buizel at Valley Windworks. im just waiting for my pics to be transferred to Photobucket to show them. when that happens, i will edit this post.

i literally only moved here this morning, so this was actually a quick hunt. i have already moved to Route 215, as i dont have any of the Pokemon here (technically, i had Staravia, but that was already evolved from a Starly to a Staraptor. Who, by the way, is in HeartGold)

The June Monthly Quest!!

To complete this Quest, one must obtain one Grass-type shiny and one Fire-type shiny. It's nice and green out with all the Grass-types running about, but it's getting hotter! Watch out for those Fire shinies, and be ready when they come!

The shinies must be obtained by yourself in an Advanced generation game (or newer), and no chaining or hacking is allowed. Good luck! The contest lasts until midnight EDT on July 1st, 2012.

I could join perhaps....only Shinies I ever encountered (legit ones ;P) are a tentacool in crystal,a Zubat in Sapphire and a Deoxys in FR (it was a nightmare -.- ,but totally worth it)

Btw do you think that shiny Jirachi could be obtained via pokemon Channel?

Hey, well I'd love to join this club! I just started hunting for shinies about a month ago, actually. Sadly, I have no shinies, but I will start hunting. G, congrats on that Spirtomb. I would say it looks awesome, but I can hardly see it from that potato of yours. (Jk!) So anyways, I'm here!

I've got a Shiny Luxray, which I caught at as a Shinx near Jublife city.
I also got a Shiny Rayquaza, via trading.
I did get a Shiny Starivia, but I got it Via Pokeradar Chaining...

This is my first time posting here, I actually joined PC to be a member of this club, as I love shinies!

I'll tell you a little bit of my story (shiny-wise). Well, my first shiny was on Crystal, a cute purple Nidoran F that I found in the National Park. Ever since I tried REing other shinies but with no luck. She was my only shiny.

Later on, I learned how to RNG shinies in Platinum. I bred a lot of shinies this way, but lately I got tired of it. It's not fun anymore, and by discovering this club I realized that obtaining shinies can be fun, if you hunt them. :)

Well, that's about it! I'm not sure which pokémon I'd like to focus on, I'll probably try the Masuda Method on White for an Eevee, and Soft Reset for Bill's one in HeartGold.

I haven't posted in a while because I haven't gotten any new shinies this month =/ Kind of ironic that May 2011 was my luckiest month yet, but I didn't get anything in May 2012... grr.

Just wanted to congratulate everyone on their shinies, especially Keruso (I envy your Nidoran!) and Chr. Draco (for completing the monthly quest).

Also, today I finally got around to EV training and evolving my 2nd shiny Eevee.

It may have taken 2 or 3 months between my two Eevees to get this guy, but when he started bouncing around some Will-o-Wisps it was totally worth it!

Anyway, good luck to all of you on your hunts! Hopefully June will be a lucky month for us all.

Chaining makes the odds of finding a shiny so high, and some people just can't get the hang of it. Masuda only multiplies the odds by 4/5, and it's pretty simple.

So, June Monthly Quest? Ironically, I was already hunting both types :D

I never got around to participating in last month's contest. I plan on participating in this month's hunt. Litwick counts, so that will be my Fire-type. I'm not sure about the Grass-type, maybe Maractus.

Sorry Ninjagon, but it wouldn't be fair if we changed the rules for different locations, so I'm afraid there's just going to be one monthly quest for everybody. You could definitely go after some Grass/Water dual types if you wanted, though! You could think of the Fire-type as needed for your fireplace to warm you up during these cold winter months. :cer_wink:

Just a little change to my hunts... having 4 SR hunts at once is getting kind of boring so I'm putting Eevee (in Heart Gold) on hold and MMing Blitzle and Ponyta on White (storing 180 of each at a time). Both are dream shinies of mine, plus I obviously need a fire type shiny for the monthly quest =P

sweet!!! Part of the June quest is done. this little girl appeared just moments ago and completely surprised me. These shinies just love jumping out at me sometimes. i was also hoping for Mareep to shine, but i'll take a Bellsprout. now i've gotta find me my fire type.

now, in Emerald, i decided, for now, to give up my hunt for Smeargle and move to the route right below Mauville. i may hunt for Smeargle somewhere else.

now i must find a new place to hunt in SoulSilver

Congrats on the shiny Yamask and Bellsprout! Those are great shinies, definitely ones I've had my eye on.

As for Ho-Oh, I made it to him a couple of days ago and I am now SRing for him. I did 1,000 SRs on the first day and then 830 more over the course of a few days (I was a bit busy). Shockingly, I was right. SRing bores me way quicker than MM, but I'm all about persistence and I'm too stubborn to quit. Shiny Ho-Oh is way beyond gorgeous.

Woo hoo =D I've had almost 2 months without a shiny! I was talking to my mom on the phone, SRing on Sapphire (the short resets have been a nice break from Snivy/Piplup) and gathering eggs on White when this Regirock appeared! I've been hunting for this shiny since December, after Kyogre shone on the same Sapphire file.

He was a jerk to catch, after being paralyzed and weakened it took 10 ultra balls and 30 timer balls before he called it quits. He's modest, which is the worst nature he could've gotten (if he could trade with my naughty Kyogre, that would be great!) but I don't use legendaries anyway so IDC. I'll be moving on to hunt Regice now, hopefully that hunt won't take 6 months too -.-

By the way I also Have news, My first hatched pokemon appears, I think it was by MM, took me around a week and around 700 eggs more or less, don't know because I was not counting them. Well enough of words and time for a picture:
