Caught 3 random encounter shinies on the 7th when I was chasing down raid dens =3

First one I bumped into was a yellow Rookidee =D

Secondly I bumped into a shiny Yungoos, which I evolved into Gumshoos as I already had one =P

And at some point right after flying to a Pokecenter thingy... and before riding towards my targeted raid den I looked around the back of it and saw this bouncy one:

I prefer wild encounters myself these days. It may take longer than MMing (especially if you're not method hunting), but it allows me to spend more time with my cherished Shinies (barring Legends Arceus).

I may have to take a break from Shiny-hunting for a while. Can't quite settle on what I want to hunt or if I even want to hunt anything now. There are still several Shinies I wouldn't mind having, but I'm honestly not sure if those would see any use and I'd rather use what I hunt than simply collect them.

I have been hunting for this Snivy in Pokemon Black since the winter of 2019. This is no walk in the park hunt- it is Gen 5, so that means playing with the old school shiny odds (1 in 8192) before they were cut in half. Also like the XY starter hunt, there's a lot of dialogue back and forth between multiple rivals at this point in the game-can't just save in front of the starter pokemon, pick one, look at it and soft-reset, if it doesn't sparkle. You have to begin the mandatory battle with Bianca before you can even check whether it's shiny or not.

I knew that it would probably be faster to use the masuda method to breed one, especially in a later game with the shiny charm, but Unova is one those regions that is really close to my heart- probably my favorite after Hoenn. I wanted to do something to make my return to Black extra special this time, so I preferred for the pokemon I played through the game with to be shiny. I wasn't quite prepared for it to take 3 1/2 years to happen, but I didn't quit, and have been rewarded with a handsome pokemon.

I will name him J. Marais, after a classic French actor, since Snivy represents France, like Tepig symbolizes China and Oshawott is Japan.

Finally Got my shiny Sandshrew in the 594th egg! I evolved it into Sandlash and named her Taffy.
Sandslash was my first shiny in Y, but sadly I lost that save file 🥲. so i decided to reclaim her in shield!

I had already shared pictures in another thread, but I'll share them here due to it's relevance to the thread:
Spoiler:

Not shown is my shiny Drifblim, which turned out to be pretty useless for my team. All of these were hatched with the Masuda method alone, no shiny charm, except Flutter Mane which was glitched. I am pretty close to completing the Paldea Pokedex in Violet, and have access to Scarlet to make it easier, but I've been lazy about that so still no shiny charm.

What I'm going for now: Well, after the shiny Hisuian Zorua hatching, I went through the typical attitude of "I'm not going for another shiny again for a long time!". But then, after sharing my current competitive team on here, someone pointed out to me that Spiritomb could be a possible option to help in plugging up the blaring Dark type weakness of my entire team. Before this, I hadn't even used Spiritomb, but I always liked the look of its shiny form, it's just that I thought it would be totally useless in competitive so I never went for it. So, yeah, you guessed it, I'm going for a shiny Spiritomb now, haven't got it yet though. XD

The only name I've thought of for this Spiritomb is 'Doom', but it's kind of a placeholder name. I would be happy to hear any suggestions from others for it's name, anyone?

Got my Gen. 5 Shiny Vanillite! Maybe now I can take that break (after I train him, of course).

EDIT: Finished raising him! Also decided to make him the final member of my "main" Shiny team, pretending that my Porygon2 would be my "dex." Sneasel and Alolan Sandslash were also temping, but I put way more effort into this guy.

hey guys, new poster here : )

my first shiny was a wild full-odds bibarel I found while playing pearl at a sleepaway camp. my friends and I were hanging out and they were playing brawl on the tv. someone heard the shiny sound effect and made everyone pause the game so he could explain to me why it was crucial I didn't kill whatever just popped up on my screen. to this day the only full odds shiny I have ever encountered, but I hunt for them often!

currently trying my best to get a shiny bruxish (with abysmal luck so far. I'm in deep on this one).
