Shooter Games

It still isn't a bad game though. But it definitely feels like more of the same.
Oh don't get me wrong, I don't think that Bioshock 2 is a bad game. I'm just saying compared to the originality of the first and third games of the series, BS2 sort of just seems like a copout to capitalize on the debut game's success.

That's the formula they apply with CoD and yet that franchise still manages to sell millions. Surprised people haven't gotten tired of it yet, to be honest.

Hence why I haven't bought a CoD game in a long time haha.

Yo I can fuck with some Borderlands that shit is fun as hell

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I totally despise shooters. And for the worst part, I actually found out I'm actually pretty good at them. So I hate them, but I'm good at them. I don't how that matches.

So far, I have only two shooter games. One of them is Haze, which I bought along with the PS3, and I bought it to try and test how good shooter games would be.I expected to like it, but the moment my first game eneded, I knew shooter games were not my thing at all. I never touched it again, but last year, I was finally able to sell this horrible game at a gamestore, although I sold it for cheap.

The second one was Modern Warfare 3, which I bought because my friends told me it was amazing and that they'd love to play with me online. This time, I sure didn't have high hopes after Haze. But I still bought it. Biggest regret of my entire life. As I expected, I hated it. When I went to sell it along with Haze, guess what? The clerk at the Gamestore said I xouldn't sell it because it was too dirty. So right now, I still have the game in my wardrobe, and I hope I never touch it again.

When it comes to shooter games, these are First Person series (and certain games) that I like:
Bioshock
Borderlands
Call of Duty (mainly the World War II ones and the Modern Warfare ones)
Chex Quest (lighter and softer Doom clone series)
Goldeneye 007
Half Life
Halo
Metroid Prime
Star Wars Republic Commando

Now for third person shooters series (and certain games) that I like:
Assassin's Creed (even though it is more stealth based)
Saints Row
Star Wars Battlefront
Transformers War For Cybertron

But which one though?! That's the real question.

I've played BL1 and BL2, but not the Pre-Sequel so I can't comment on that one. I found Borderlands 2 to be a lot more fun than the first game which I felt was a little bit.. lacking? Maybe I'll get around to playing the Pre-Sequel soon but I'm not sure on the general consensus on it.

B2 had a lot more going on with it and felt a lot more complete than B1. I think that may be the fact that the game became a lot prettier and more full due to the game's environments.

That's true. BL2 definitely had a lot more personality to it, with Claptrap and Handsome Jack and the rest of the cast. Not to mention the weapons and loot system was more fleshed out and it was overall just a better experience than the first game. I did like the first one too though.

I had my moments where I played a lot of CoD and Battlefield, then it died off and now im really into shooters such as CSGO, Planetside 2, Destiny, Renegade X (which is a really neat game imo) and the Borderlands series.

CSGO, while it has it's toxic members (which all communities have tbh, but they are mainly visible in the bigger ones), still is a impressive game and THE competitive shooter atm. Always fun to play with friends, but solo isn't much fun when you end up with people insulting you 24/7 :P

Planetside 2 is a example how a F2P game can be without the instant P2W accuses, though I haven't played in a while, so my criticism can be outdated, but I feel the F2P gamers are at a disadvantage cause of having a slow start, not being able to make much use of air units and the fact that the ingame currency is gained rather slowly makes it a tad P2W anyways, but the massive battles you can have (it's like unlimited vs unlimited vs unlimited) are just worth it so much. Strong PC advised tho.

Destiny has been crapped on with bad story, forced to play this long cause of weekly rewards in raids, but the game is just addictive imo. I keep hunting for that one exotic weapon I will never get but I can have hopes for it. Loot system is completely RNG based and it can end up with you getting the worst things in the game while you carried the entire raid team... or you can just get the Vex Mythoclast 3 times in a row :x

Renegade X... no reason not to try unless you don't have a beefy PC. Why not? It's completely free, no microtransactions whatsoever. Plus it has a gamemode no other shooter has. While the gunplay feels really old (cause they want to make people relive the old C&C Renegade days) a lot of stuff and balance has been added to it. Plus I get to drive a two-barreled tank, thats just amazing :D

Borderlands... is just Borderlands. Loot, loot and killing creatures and bandits and more creatures. While I felt TPS was lacking in endgame (got fixed plus Clappy DLC is amazing), BL1 and 2 were the games to play. BL1 has no FPS slider on PC (rip pc gamers) and BL2 was mainly focused around slagging enemies when reaching the Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, both have their ups and downs...
