i've been noticing an increasing number of players who want this thing gone. either due to its excellent bulk, its unique typing and ridiculously good ability, or because of goth stall. what do you think?

I don't think it's really ban worthy. It doesn't actually have "excellent bulk"; it needs the opponent to be burned/needs to have a couple of Calm Mind boosts to sponge physical/special attacks comfortably. Fairies in general also kinda counter it, Clefable in particular, since they're the one type it's weak to and non-CM sets have basically no offensive presence (not to mention that the common Fairies aren't exactly frail, and the CM set needs time to set up). And while you can't status it directly because of Magic Bounce, you can still burn it with Scald and Lava Plume or even poison it with the occasional Sludge Bomb or something, and it really does not like being burned/poisoned, it makes it a lot harder for it to stall that way. And as good as Magic Bounce is, losing Prankster priority after the first turn kinda sucks.

Are they gonna ban that piece of **** Gothitelle or not though?

Heaven forbid people have to think about team building and cant just run cookie cutter generic teams and that there are good defensive mega pokemon because of ORAS that oppose them imagine that!

Seriously though if you dont have a mega sableye counter on your team you are probably bad or weak to dragons too (hint fairies beat sable AND dragons wow very shock) or both or have an awful weak team that is set up fodder for it and nothing to take wisps. All of which every serious good team should have. So yeah probably just bad.

In a similar vein, this reminds me of people who run nothing with status, nothing to absorb status or even a check for defensive stat uppers and just expect to cookie cutter through **** like mega slowbro and suicune hint: Its not happening lol. Then they moan about it. :| Its like what do you expect.

Meanwhile lets just ignore Manaphy and Goth! Because the 0 counters and checks on any team style they dont have totally dont make team building already asinine enough ughhhhhh.

Sometimes i wonder why i hate people. Then i remember. Its probably because of everything.

You're kidding right? I beat that thing with Gengar (no mega), Alakazam, and Gardevoir, 2 words, fairy moves, these 3 are all capable of learning at least Dazzling Gleam.

it's difficult to build and play around but i would want a very convincing as to why it needs to go b/c i agree w/ the other posters that it just isn't broken, good as magic bounce is. too slow, too prone easy to overpower, too easy to predict (b/c its job is so important people play it VERY linearly). i didn't realize this was controversial.

Also another hint, Physical Fire types. Unless Mega Sableye is already setup completely, or you know that it's going to Mega Evolve, bring in a fire type. Charizard X scares an still setting up Mega Sableye.

If this thing goes, then stall would really be dead.

It's annoying, sure, but it has quite a few counter options, and there really are worse pokemon they need to consider banning (Goth). All because hyper offense is what most people play, doesn't mean they need to ban pokemon they don't want to deal with. The ladder already encourages hyper offense enough during suspect tests, so I'm really hoping people aren't seriously considering this.
