{ooc| I thought it came from England o_o; Here it's hosted by this guy called chris tarrant, and some of the questions are like... 'what did somebody somebody eat famously the day before he died?' stupid questions, y'know,t hat you'd never know unless you were a history teacher or something.}

Maxie nodded. "Practically. That's why they normally live in caves. Once he evolves he won't have that problem; crobats and golbats have eyes as well as super sonic." she stroked Fang fondly; he chirruped like a bird, a strangely innocent sound coming from such an insidious creature. "No... there's nothing you can do." she added, with a smile.

Fang strained his ears; curse the rain, curse the wind! His sight depended on sound waves, and with the constant drumming he was lost! What was Ashura doing? He swore she was listening in, looking in...but he couldn't be sure! He sighed to himself.

Maxie blinked, finally catching sight of Zach on the ground. "Um...?" she began, but cut herself off. "I don't want to know, actually." she concluded.

OOC: Oh snap, sowwy I went to sleep, peoples. ^^;;;

I thought Alter wouldn't get on 'till late because of the Physics thingy and I didn't see Yibber, Flissie, or Charon anywhere so I just went to sleep. Pfft.

As for the Mud-Slap thingy, I'll explain dat, so yeah. And Ashura! *not expecting a response XD* Foresight is one of those moves that Fishy's never mastered no matter how hard he tries! XD

IC:

Kayley frowned, mentally crossing out Mud-Slap. Her initial plan was to hinder its vision somewhat, even though it wouldn't take damage, but now that she was faced with a Double Team, that wouldn't help much. Another thought popped into her head, exclaiming that Mud-Slap wouldn't even do snap to Ghastlies because they had 'Levitate'. It was then that the girl almost fell over out of embarassment, but then another thought popped into her head, one that chimed 'bingo'.

"Okay, Fishy! Surf!"

Fishy's grin faded just a little bit, but unless one was looking directly at his grin, one couldn't really tell. You actually expect me to pull off a Surf? He thought, but then decided to go through with the attack, even though it was one of those attacks that he didn't really get right every time he used it..

The little Mudkip closed his eyes tightly, his body faintly glowing a weird shade of light blue, his grin now completely gone, his expression one of concentration.

For a few seconds, nothing happened, and Hazy took this oppurtunity to begin charging up a Shadow Ball, her copies doing the same thing so as not to reveal her location to anyone that hadn't used Foresight yet.

But almost a second after she had done that, the ocean waters near the shoreline not too far away began to churn, eventually conjuring an actual wave, its form growing larger and larger as Fishy desperately tried to conjure it correctly, its crest eventually matching the height of the trees.

And then, Fishy cried out, opening his eyes and pointing a paw at the horde of Ghastlies, the wave he had created surging towards them by arching over the distance between the beach and the battle, over the other Pokemon and their Trainers, and down towards their battlefield.

..And he missed. Well, not exactly missed. The wave was about a meter off, completely pounding the left-half of the Gastly horde, and splashing the right half just a bit. And the real Hazy was somewhere inbetween, enough to feel the power of the giant wave and was forced backwards, losing her concentration for the Shadow Ball, as well as for her Double Team copies, leaving her out in the open.

"Great job, Fishy!" Kayley called out to the Mudkip, who wasn't moving because he was shocked that he actually hit the opponent.

Hazy's expression of happiness had now turned into anger, not believing that a puny Mudkip had gotten around her Double Team without even using Foresight. I mean come on, what kind of guy that must know Foresight doesn't use it but hit the opponent anyway?

She immediately used Spite, some kind of purple aura surrounding Fishy before his technique for Surf was no where as much as it had been before. That would stop him from using the attack anytime soon, unless he didn't care that he only had a limited amount of power before he had exhausted his ability for Surf.

Then, before Kayley could issue another command, Hazy herself began glowing purple, which was hard to see because of her gaseous flames. In a few moments' time, an invisble force slammed into Fishy, sending him reeling backwards, the Night Shade doing its job.

"Quick Fishy! Finish this with a Water Gun!" Kayley shouted. She doubted that the Ghastly would be able to continue battling after that first Water Gun, and after that slight-Surf as well.

Fishy instantly stumbled to his feet, inhaling a bit before firing a volley of Water Gun, which Hazy attempted to dodge. She succeeded in dodging it, but Fishy merely fired a second one, which nailed her in the forehead, the Rain Dance adding to it (well, it had added to every Water attack as well, duh) and forcing the Ghastly to the ground, where she barely levitated a centimeter off of the ground, severely weakened.

Then Kayley was struck with realization.

"May as well.." She whispered to herself, reaching into her sling bag with her free hand, pulling out a Pokeball a few seconds later.

"Go, Pokeball!" Kayley shouted, doing nothing fancy in order to at least throw some excitement in. The Pokeball surged in the air towards the Ghastly, eventually striking her and forcing her inside, the Pokemon inside putting up a bit of a fight, causing the Pokeball to tilt back and forth before finally, it came to a halt, signaling that Hazy had been captured.

OOC: Ehh...Mud-Slap wouldn't drop accuracy either since no effects of an attack get through against an immunity. Besides, Ghastly can't learn Scary Face either, not even in XD or the pok?mon box, or even from the NYC PC. XP *Ish being a prick* Let's not go too far from the actual workings of the this whole thing, m'kay? It annoys people like me to no end when things like that crop up too often. -_- Anyhow, is Kayley going to finish that battle or what? Because I seriously don't feel like posting another contentless filler IC at the moment.

Your wish has been fullfilled, Ashley. *bows*

Maxie and Fang exchanged glances. A grin crept across their faces - for a split second, their expressions were almost identical.
"Congratulations, Kayley!" Maxie called, cupping her hands to her mouth. "Fishy's really strong, isn't he?" she said, to no one inpaticular. She hadn't seen a mudkip battle before, and she was relatively impressed. She had always thought they looked a little too meek to do any serious damage - it was probably those cute little fins and chubby little legs that gave her that impression.
She stared absent-mindedly into the forest. What else lay in wait?

Fang screeched cheerfully, beating his wings. {Well done Fishy!} he said, though his voice sounded strangely weak. The zubat was deeply jealous; Fishy was the same size as him, but the mudkip hadn't shrunk back in fear, or turned and fled, as Fang often did. Fang had known his trainer for nearly all their lives, aswell - weren't they meant to be elite battling parters by now? Yet Fang was a coward. They'd won just under a dozen battles in the fourteen years they had known each other... it was pathetic...
Fang dipped his head pathetically.
Maxie could only watch. Fang... she thought sadly.

{ooc| If you collect enough tokens on the special boxes of CoCo Pops, you too can send off and become prime minister! xD}

OOC: Yeesch, bow before teh Ashley, smiter of all inaccuracies. XD Well, on to the forest. Rai has a Vulpix to catch, yes he does. ^^

IC:

"Indeed, congratulations." Rai concured, smiling at his friend's new catch. Poor Zach, though... he added in his mind, remembering that the boy was mortally terrified of the Ghastly and even though he had mustered the courage to come out of the bushes by now, he had still acted fidgety around the ghost type, flinching at the first sudden motion and preparing to hide again. Well, it seemed like the boy would just have to grow adjusted to it.

{Yeah! You rock Fishy!} Chupon exclaimed with awe in his voice, running towards the Mudkip and clapping his little hands enthusiastically.

{It was...allright.} Ashura said, shrugging {But you need to keep your guard up.} she added, feeling like she needed to put in a bit of lecture as well {If that spirit had known Thunderbolt it could easily have fried you back there. Use Foresight next time, it serves well to cancel out illusions and pin-point opponents, a usefull move indeed against ghost types.}

"Yes, I suppose he is." Rai replied to Maxie's comment, "I'm sure all of ours are. But he certainly fought well." he smiled some more "Shall we proceed, then?"

OOC: Charon.. The heck? XD

Ack! Must edit for Titan's post!

....There we go.

IC:

{Whee! No more randomness for you, fluff ball!} Fishy called out to the silent Pokeball mockingly, wagging his tail fin in happiness. He was especially happy now than before -- He actually did a semi-decent Surf! He was so very proud of himself!

{Thankies, Fang!} He exclaimed again, when the Zubat had called out to him. The Mudkip didn't even notice the change in Fang's voice. {Maybe you'll get to battle a ghostie, too! Serves them right for being more random than me!}

He lost focus on Fang when Chupon ran up to him, however, clapping happily. He was going to add to the clapping, but was stopped when Ashura spoke up, apparently unimpressed and telling him about the uses of Foresight.

{Foresight.. Don't know how.} He piped up, grin fading a bit. {I tried it a few times.. Can't get the hang of it.}

Meanwhile, Kayley had been blushing sheepishly at Maxie and Rai's comments. "Aw, it was only a Ghastly, Fishy isn't that strong.." She paused when Fishy overheard this, shooting her a 'hmph' kind of glance. "Well, we have been training for a long time now.. But anyway."

Kayley stopped talking there, pulling her hood back down because the rain was slowly starting to die down. Allowing Fishy to hop back up to her shoulder, Kayley walked towards the Pokeball that was still on the ground, bending down and picking it up with her free hand.

"Ghastly are cool Pokemon.. I guess it was just by luck that one decided to randomly scare me." She said, not really aiming it towards anyone.

She was pondering to let the Ghastly out in order to introduce her to the group, but decided not to at Rai's last question.

"Yeah, we should get moving. When we reach Azure Town, our little ghostie can have a proper introduction."

Maxie nodded at both the trainer's comments. "Guess that's true...all our pokemon are strong."
She looked to Fang, who was still perched on her shoulder with his head bowed in a dejected manner. Her expression softened instantly, and she picked him up and cradled him in her arms. "I've been training Fang for half my life now, haven't I?" she murmured, and the bat grumbled under his breath. "You're still as weak as the day I found you- no, let me finish..." she told Fang, as he opened his mouth to interrupt, "-but I don't care. We try to win with our favourites, not the strongest of the lot, eh?" she said, to the others now. It was a famous quote - Lance the Dragon Master, from the Kanto Region, said it regularily. He was on TV quite a lot now - presenting various tournaments and making guest appearences. Maxie had always thought he was a bit rich, blabbing on about not worrying about them being weak or strong... especially when his own pokemon were complete power-houses.

She sheilded her eyes from the rain with one hand, squinting. "Has anyone got a torch?" she asked. Until the rain stopped, Fang would be as blind as the humans in the semi-darkness of the forest.

{ooc| I'm watching Kingdom of Heaven... it's quite crap, really, but God does Orlando Bloom look good!

I'm hyper, today I went to town (as usual) and a got a hot dog with CURRY SAUCE *gasps ensue*}

OOC: Eh? o_O All these weird songs are confusing poor little Alter's mind...yes, you are going very much off-topic...you are both being very silly, and I'm warning you not to be silly again. *Patts red herring treatheningly* But seriously, you guys are kind of clogging up the thread. It ain't good to have too many pure OOCs in a row. So steering this back on topic...

IC:

Rai nodded at Kayley's reply. "That sounds like a plan." he said, casting a sideward glance at Zachary before adding in a slightly lower tone "Might give poor Zach a bit of time to adjust."

He listened in silence as Maxie had her little chat with Fang, quoting the words of a famous person, words which Rai recognized. Was it the dragon master Lance? It could very well have been, but the boy also recalled hearing Karen, the leader of the Johto Elite Four saying something to that effect in an interview on TV once.

"That's true." he commented at last, patting Chupon on the head "Although I think it means that trust and love between trainer and pok?mon are necessary to grow strong." he smiled at his two charges "I'm sure any pok?mon can become tough with the right training."

As Maxie inquired about a torch, Rai shook his head apologetically "I'm afraid I don't have anything like that." he said, "Hopefully the forest will be thick enough to block out most of the rain once we get inside." he took a pause to look at the sky, noting that Fishy's Rain Dance had dissipated, only to give way to a genuine rain storm that was quickly growing in intensity. "Speaking of which." he added "Why are we all standing here getting wet? Let's go try to find some shelter in the woods."

OOC: *deletes OOCs* There we go. Now Charon, do your half. XD

IC:

"Good question." Kayley replied, sighing at the fact that she had put her hood down for naught. Clutching her case closer, she moved onward into the forest, and like Rai, hoping that the trees would lessen the impact from the rain.

She knew that the others were probably going to follow, so she didn't stop and wait until all of them had made a move.

{I don't know what the big deal is.} Fishy exclaimed from Kayley's shoulder. {Rain is a good thing! Part of the game, know what I'm sayin'?}

{ooc| Oh shush, stressy man-Alter, we are girls and born to be silly! *giggles retardedly*}

Maxie frowned. "Yeah, C'mon, Fang..." she muttered, and trudged through the gradually deepening mud towards the trees. She paused at the fringe of trees, debating inwardly whether to enter first.
{I can sorta see...} Fang told Maxie, {It looks pretty clear...} He beat his wings experimentally, before leaping into the air and diving under the canopy. {YUP!} he called, {Rai was right. I can see fine here! Oh... oh wait... well...} he trailed off.
"Okay, coming Fang..." Maxie muttered, and brushed the shrubbery aside. The floor inside was covered in leaf-litter; in areas the sun penetrated the foliage in dazzling displays of filtered light.
{There's a kakuna to your left, Max, watch it...} he told her.
Maxie side-stepped it.

{ooc| I'm listening to an online radio-station. The presenter is kinda...retarded... but the music she plays makes me happy. *is listneing to the song from 'The Cat Returns'* It's the radio station of the oekaki I used to belong to. I don't draw there no more, they all got mean. xP}

Kayley squinted her eyes in order to keep the route visible. The leaves on the ground helped in covering it up, and the shadows from the trees made it all that much harder to keep going. Now that she thought about it, this did look like the perfect habitat for Ghost Pokemon. She couldn't see any right now, but she was certain that the Ghastly she had caught was not the only one here.

Speaking of that Ghastly.. Kayley thought to herself. I wonder what I should call it.. I guess I can think about that later.

Fishy had calmed down a good bit. He was still hyper from that last battle, but now that they were in the forest, the silence and the few raindrops that managed to get passed the foliage sped up the process.

"Come on, people. We should get to Azure Town before dark!" Kayley called out, turning around to face the other Trainers.

OOc-
Niah....medicine makes Yibber drowsy,yes,I shall catch a quick nap after this.^^

Yum,am currently eating a banana,good banana.Though,it doesn't have that good feeling cheese and calms give you.

Ic-
"Congrats,Kayley."Jena congradulated the girl as she went and picked up the pokeball she had caught the Ghastly with.Then,following her,Rai and Maxie deeper into Azura Forest.

"Hurry up you two."she called out to Zach and Silver.

As Fishy's Rain Dance was replaced by real rain,the girl shivered,taking note to avoid the many puddles now on the forest floor.The Tailow had now dug herself into Jena's arms,scared of the thunder and lightning.

"I vote for us getting out before dark,we're all going to catch a cold of we stay out here any longer."she replied to Kayley.

{Rain!Rain!I love the rain!}Cascade continued jumping from puddle to puddle,getting the pokemon around him wet again.Orjen shuffled his many feet,feeling uneasy.Suddenly,there was a flash of light,and a loud 'boom'.The Wurmple instinctively jumped behind the Ralts next to him.Curling himself into an orange ball.Ryne flinched.

Ooc-

Teh US's host for that show is Regis Philban. Can't spell his name for crud, though. XD

Stand by, my brain is dead when it comes to RPing at the moment.

"I'll third that motion." Rai said, navigating himself a way around the puddles, although Cascade did splash him down a bit with his jumping.

As she was splashed once more, Ashura cast the Mudkip a tired look {Why oh why can you not show some dignity even once?} she asked wearily while moving through the undergrowth with considerable ease.

As a roll of thunder erupted in the sky above them, Chupon leapt up with a terrified squeak, clambering on to Rai's leg for dear life, closing his eyes tightly in an effort to block out the storm. It wasn't nearly as harsh within the shelter of the trees, but it was still there, and now held the lovable treath of being able to knock down a tree on them at any given moment.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile in his tree hideout, the Vulpix was suddenly awoken by the same clap of thunder that had startled Chupon, jerking up from his sleep and striking his head onto a branch, which caused him to let out a pained little yelp. The fox pok?mon shuddered as he felt the cold draft breeze through his tree, tiny raindrops striking his furr. He would have to find a new shelter fast. The fire type peered around nervously, certainly ghosts were as afraid of rain as he was? Maybe they wouldn't come out in such a heavy downpour...but should he really go out there? The Vulpix shuddered at the thought of walking out into the rain, but there really wasn't any choice, he would have to go...oh, if only the master was here...

The fox pok?mon's eyes fell on the road in front of him, his heart nearly skipping a beat at what he saw. Someone was walking down the road, a boy...he couldn't see him clearly through the rain, but it had to be the master, even though he looked maybe a tad shorter.

The Vulpix didn't care about such trivial matters though, leaping out of the tree with newfound enthusiaism and rushing straight through the rain-swept plain as fast his little feet would allow him, ignoring the rain. The master was just there, just beyond the thin cluster of trees in front of him. Everything would be fine once he got to his master...

{Master!} the Vulpix called out in excitement, leaping at the boy in front of him, and causing him to stumble under this sudden increase of weight on him. The boy managed to hold his balance though, and somehow take a hold of the fire type as well.

{Master...} the fox pok?mon repeated in a voice choked with emotion {You came back. Kaika knew you would come back...master...} with that, the Vulpix fainted into Rai's arms before the boy had even quite managed to grasp what had just happened.

OOC: The return of Kaika who was ironically named! XD

IC:

Kayley grumbled a bit at the raindrops that had squeezed through the foliage, which were apparently out to get her, since the only rain that seemed to be getting through was mostly hitting her.

She was about to complain out loud when suddenly, she heard the cry of a Pokemon.. It sounded like it was saying 'picks' as part of its name, but she couldn't hear it properly over the constant barrage of the rain.

That was when she saw a Vulpix suddenly and very randomly leap into Rai's arms, slightly visible through the rain because of its dim orange color and becaue Rai wasn't too far away from her.

Fishy looked just about ready to rant again, but Kayley was prepared for that and quickly shushed him, turning back towards Rai with confusion written across her face.

"Rai.. Wha?" Was all she managed to get out.

"Right then."Jena picked up Orjen and hugged both the Tailow and him in her arms.Both,looked like they didn't quite like the thunder.

{Niah...I like jumping in puddles,its fun,I don't care about...dinini..dignini..dignity.}Cascade replied to Ashura,jumping into more puddles.
Ryne gripped tightly onto her trainer's leg,turning her head every once in awhile as the thunder continued.It looked like the trees around them were alive.But,it was probably her imagination.

"Better hurry,the rain's getting worse."Jena stated,the downpour really was getting heavy,even with the canopy blocking out most of the rain.

{Oh,I'm getting wet!}the mother Tailow whined as she and her husband hopped from branch to branch,trying to keep up with their daughter.

"Rai!!What's that thing headed toward you?!"Jena pointed at the silloutte of what looked like a four-legged pokemon,it wasn't the biggest,but,in the darkness cast by the clouds,anything could look threatening.

"Hey!The thing's hurt!!We need to get it to a pokemon center!"the girl could finally see that the thing was none other than a weak-looking Vulpix,still wondering why it had choosen to tackle Rai,the girl quickly bent down beside both of them.Letting the Tailow and Orjen jump out of her arms.Taking out a star-shaped thingy from one of her bag's compartments, she quickly passed the Revive to Rai.
