Natural talent: Speed. Before volunteering, Jules was a drummer in a garage rock band, quite good at keeping the beat no matter how fast the song. Carrying his drum set from one gig to another helped him get strong, and trying to keep up with his band mates (who had much lighter instruments), and running track in high school helped his speed and stamina immensely.

Outside of combat, Jules appears to be a normal boy, save for his gray hair and red eye. He is tall and solid (5' 8", 180 lbs.), as he used to jog and lift weights before volunteering. For the most part, he doesn't care to style himself after his Pokemon counterpart (although his yellow shirt and brown pants do match his Electric typing), except for his shoes and fingerless gloves, which are red and blue like Magnemite's magnets. As a nod to his Steel type, he wears a simple chain necklace. He covers his right eye with a black eyepatch.

Under the eyepatch is simply smooth flesh, as he lacks an eye socket altogether. Fortunately, his remaining eye is located in the usual place, instead of in the center of his face like a Magnemite.

During combat, his normally pale skin transforms into shiny chrome, and his hair stands on end as lightning sparks through it.

Personality: Carefree and upbeat, Jules is a rebel and a free spirit. He doesn't care for rules and regulations, instead following his whims with little regard for what others expect of him. He enjoys making new friends and helping people, and can't stand bullies or anyone who tries to intimidate people and tell them what to do.

While he may not be the smartest person around, it's more because he's easily bored or distracted, and can be quite cunning when he puts his mind to it. But that's too exhausting, and he'd rather just relax and have fun, unless someone needed his help. He tries to keep up morale and loves to party and keep people entertained. His personal motto is make the world a happier place and never give up while the music's still playing.

History: Jules had an ordinary childhood in scenic Cerulean City. He loved Pokemon, liked to run and play, and wanted to go to the Pokemon League. Instead of giving him a Pokemon and sending him off into the world when he turned 10, his parents sent him to a Gym. His father was a Fire type Trainer, and refused to let Jules train at the Water Gym. However, sending him to Cinnabar was too expensive, so they let him train in Vermilion City, where he would meet his friends and future band mates.

Although he never made it to the League, Jules enjoyed being a drummer in a rock band, and they were known as The Wrong Crowd. Spending time with the Wrong Crowd ultimately proved detrimental to his future. An act of teenage rebellion led them to an SRR warehouse, and ended in breaking and entering, theft, and Jules left holding the bag. Rather than serve 5-10 years in prison, Jules agreed to a bargain that entered him in SRR's experimental DNA therapy project.

Valeria has a slender build and sharp face. She is around 1.67m(5'5") and has somewhat pale skin. She shares several traits with her Pawniard counterpart, her long hair has became colored metallic red, her eyes turned yellow, surrounded by black and although her skin is flexible and elastic as before, it has many properties of a steel alloy.
In terms of clothes, Vel wears mostly black and red, similar to the Pawniard line of fashion. She also has a hair ornament resembling the blade on top a Pawniard head.

In combat Vel skin on her arms and legs turns metallic crimson, on each arm a sharp blade protrudes from the side(parallel to her wrist), the blades begin in the middle between her wrist and her elbow and end about 150mm from the end of her hand.
Along with those blades, four spikes protrudes from her abdomen, small enough to allow her to maneuver regularly but deadly as much as her arm blades.​

Personality

A master strategist, Valeria is a formidable opponent in any kind of competition. She is smart and cunning, and can improvise on the spot. Vel will do a lot to be at the top, and will do anything it takes. At times she isn't competing, she is quite friendly and nice, although being sassy and sarcastic. She will often make friends, sometimes just for the sake of a good friendship and other times for benefits from said friends.
She usually thinks out a plan before acting, but many times will improvise if necessary.​

History

Valeria Fulhurst, or Vel as she likes to be called, was born and raised at Saffron City in the Kanto region for a couple of scientists in the Silph Co. Headquarters in the city. Her family was relatively stable, and decided to raise her as a single child as a result of seeing the hardships many families had when they had more than one child.

She was sent to a proper school and was destined by her parents to become a scientist herself, at first she liked the idea and thought that an organization like Silph Co or SRR could be a very interesting place to work at; but as the years went by and she got into highschool she started to lose interest. She begun going to the Fighting Dojo in the city, and slowly picked interest in martial arts.

She kept her decision in secret, as she knew her parents will not like the new route she is taking. She was still acing through school and was training in both hand to hand combat and swordsmanship at the Dojo. Although being the largest city in the region, Saffron was still quite small, soon enough her parents found out about her new "hobby" and put up an ultimatum for her: Drop fighting and build a stable future, or be kicked out of the house. Valeria chose the latter.

After finding an apartment in Celadon city, Vel continued practicing her martial arts. She was working in part-time jobs around the city, and planned to open a Dojo in the city. To do so, she had to get a hefty amount of money, and paying the rent and the bills she had no savings. Until one day she found an advertisement in one of the department stores, a test for a new medicine by the Silver Rocket Research Company. The sum of money was quite intriguing, and she agreed to take part...

Valeria Fulhurst, or Vel as she likes to be called, her life has been changed since she took part in that test. She was now a hybrid, of Pokemon and Human, she looked different, saw different, heard different, and felt different. Pawniard DNA mixed with her, Dark and Steel.

Jet is a dark-skinned, physically active guy. The fact that his skin wasn't like this when the scientists received him, is attributed to the modifications the Magmar DNA is making, like wood turning into coal when exposed to fire over time. He's a very tall, young man and is fairly muscular, with somewhat long almost claw-looking fingernails.

From his backside sprouts a tail. It's the part of him that resembles a Magmar the closest, apart from his claw-like nails, and his black hair, which seems to be gradually turning a red-yellowish tint.

Clothes-wise, Jet wears a pair of somewhat puffy trousers with a blue sash keeping them in place. Aside from that though, there isn't much to say about his clothes, considering he prefers to be both shirt and shoeless whenever possible. If he DOES wear something on his torso, it's a simple T-shirt or a tank top, given his continued comments on 'Feeling like he's burning up'.​

Personality

"A fiery temper" comes to mind when you think about Jet... but at the same time, it seems like an understatement. Jet absolutely detests the lab, and especially the "Playground", and as such, has spent majority of his teen years on trying to break out, which has mainly consisted of him punching or using his abilities on the iron dome keeping everyone inside.

As such, Jet's been the cause of many injuries to the staff, and even a few rare occasions to his fellow test subjects, when they were forcefully trying to make him stop breaking out or even just being concerned with him hurting himself on repeatedly attacking the metal bars.

These few occasions where he's been in a fight with the other kids, or even some of the older test subjects, Jet has displayed that he very much enjoys getting to spend his pent-up anger and hate for the research facility against another living being. Normally, he simply avoids the others, calling them idiots for just accepting what's been given to them, but he seemingly openly welcomes the chance to beat someone's face in whom he thinks is deserving of it.

Due to his rough, brash nature, Jet doesn't exactly have any friends. He doesn't ignore people when they talk to him, IF they talk to him, he's simply used to everyone staying far away from him, worried of being a victim of one of his next 'tantrums'.

That said, he does find time to calm down on occasion. On days of heavy rain or snow, he's alot more calm than usual, often being found sitting in the cold, wet weather while simply staring off into the thin air, his tail twitching at the drops of rain, snow or hail.

History

Jet's past is a mystery to himself. He has no idea who his parents are, where he was originally from, or if his original name even -was- Jet. All his life he's been brought up in the facility, and at first, he was content, if a little wary of everyone there.

As he grew, however, he started realizing what they were and -where- they were. He asked questions that he didn't get proper answers to, and being able to glimpse at the outside without being able to actually go out there had him become more and more upset with the state of things. He KNEW there was a world out there. So why couldn't he go out there? Moreover, who condemned him to staying in this prison of the soul?

The answer was pretty clear to him, and as a result, the people on the very top of his list of debts to be repaid, were his parents. Or, so-called parents, he thought, considering they didn't exactly do a good job.

Due to his aggressive nature mentioned earlier, Jet's caused alot of injuries to the personnel, making them have to keep a closer eye on him and not give him as much leeway as the others. Not that he really cares, or tries to hide how much he loathes the people and the place where they are.

Totally fine. Some people get excited at the prospect of selling away their only child. It's just more common with twins because it makes it easier on the mom usually and the srr don't really want people coming to their doorstep screaming and begging for their child/den back. Bad for business.

- Appearance: an average height of 5' 5", 160 pounds, chicken legs, a bit of a belly and proportional chest. slenderish arms with bubble-like birthmarks running down them, lightly tanned skin, baby blue hair pulled back into three tails, beady black eyes and two sharp fangs protruding from a catlike upper lip.
- Personality: Being one of the older subjects of the SRRC, she's grown up taking care of fellow subjects. Chloe has seen a lot of children and adults alike enter the facility; faculty has shifted and been replaced, the labs rearranged, but after the first generation of tests nobody ever truly left again. She's grown close to a lot of the test subjects, becoming a sort of motherly figure having always been there for them. The hardships that she endured up until her late teens molded her into the person she is now, causing the SRRC to approach her on multiple occasions with offers of bringing her into their ranks. However Chloe has refused, stating that her home and work was here in the pens with the other subjects.
- History: Chloe was brought in through a hospital that's in employment with the SRRC. The girl's parents had died, and she had been left orphaned without any other family to be returned to. The girl at the time was only one year old, and was brought in to the facility at the end of the first generation of tests. When the girl turned three the first generation were set free and shipped off the island, never to be seen again as the second generation of more successful tests began. The girl has grown up in the facility, watching the tests become progressively more sucessful. Many of her friends have died, while others have chosen to go into the employment of the company. Chloe chooses to remain herself, staying in the pins with the other subjects, offering courage and comfort to the younger and older ones alike.

Bruno has a very depressed personality ever since he got fired from his job as a trainer. Since he no longer has the money to afford going to the dojo, his one true happy place, among everything else, he has been forced to the street. The has lead him to drinking excessively and prone to fits of rage and pure sadness as he remembers what could have been if he had not made that one dumb mistake.

This has lead Bruno to become very cynical, rude and a loner. He views the world through the lens as a cruel place that will take whatever makes you happy and stomp it into the ground and leave you with nothing. He prefers to live life by himself now with little to no interaction with other people unless absolutely necessary and he is not afraid to speak his mind to someone to let them know to get away from him.

- History:
Bruno grew up in the large city of Saffron. Growing up, he was always fascinated by the human body and its limits. Starting as a teenager, Bruno went to the Fighting Dojo every day, exploring different ways to improve the body such as weightlifting, boxing, and judo. After a few weeks of this "research" he felt different...stronger...more aware. Loving this feeling he continued going to the Dojo until one day, a few years later, he was offered an entry position at the Dojo as a trainer's assistant. Bruno had the knowledge necessary to be able to start at such an early age, fresh out of high school and he loved the idea of helping others explore their own bodily limits.

Flash forward 10 years and Bruno is the top trainer at the Dojo. He has been recognized regionally for his expertise on the human body and its limits while still helping it reach its maximum potential. Rumors started that there wasn't a single body that Bruno couldn't help. Until one fateful day when an average man, named Georgio, came into the Dojo asking for help. He wanted Bruno's expertise to help him reach his bodily potential to impress a girl. Bruno happily obliged and started Georgio on a regimen. At first, everything was going well, Georgio's body was improving at a steady rate and would reach its max potential right on schedule. Then disaster struck. Georgio's body stopped improving and became stagnant. It was clear there was some kind of hump that couldn't seem to be overcome. This perplexed Bruno as he had faced plenty of these little obstacles before but this one was a different beast altogether. For weeks and eventually months, Bruno worked diligently to get Georgio's body over that hump but nothing seemed to work. The issue began driving Bruno into insanity. He couldn't sleep, he couldn't eat. He had to figure out a solution to Georgio's problem but nothing was working when finally he came to a realization and ran to the drug store. He had come up with an idea but it needed to be handled delicately. He bought what he needed at the drug store and went home, careful to make sure no one saw him or what he bought, even swearing the store clerk to secrecy. The next morning, he met Georgio at the gym in Bruno's office. Pulling out a brown paper bag, he handed it to Georgio. Bruno told him they were steroids and that they would be helpful. Georgio, not knowing why Bruno as so edge about it, thanked Bruno and walked out. A few minutes later, there was a knock on Bruno's door and in came two of Bruno's fellow trainers clearly agitated. Bruno knew immediately what happened and tried to explain but to no avail. Bruno was fired and thrown out on the street, reputation tarnished beyond repair. He had nothing.

Flash to present day and Bruno now lives on the streets of Saffron, homeless. He no longer has the physique he once had that made him famous but rather a more gangly appearance compared to his former, god-like appearance. He spends each day wishing for his old life back or at the very least, able to afford to pay to go to a dojo or gym to just get that adrenaline rush he craves from working out. That is what drew him towards the SRR. They offered a good chunk of change, enough for Bruno's wish to come true and potentially get his life back. Without hesitation he signed up and became part of SRR's work.

Some say he has no name. That only the people know what to call him. When they see his flying red wings, furious punches of justice and his beak that can pierce the heavens. They know what name to call...

Pájaro de Lucha! The brawling bird of justice!

But ehm, his friends call him Paja.

And... his real name might be Elliot Darnez, but don't tell anybody that!

Beneath his trusty cowl, this emissary of good is believed to be a man.

Our hero gains his fantastical, phenomenal powers by fusing with the energy of the great crimson bird, the almighty Hawlucha!

Volunteering to be a part of a secret programme, fuelled by the desire to save a life, Pájaro de Lucha's troubled past as an officer on the beat, allowed him to take advantage of an enhanced physical attacking strength unlike any other.

And by that I mean, that working as a sanitation officer really builds upper body strength.

Forever changed, Pájaro de Lucha is the image of a true fighter, the ultimate fusion of man and beast. Possessing a lean and athletic build, Paja is fast, muscular and presumably very attractive underneath that mask. The cape upon his back shines a brilliant crimson red with a green underside... and while it may seem like fabric it is actually comprised of many finely intertwined feathers gifted to him by his fused partner! Granting him the ability to glide short distances, though he can't seem to fly just yet. The mask upon his face belonged to his hero, his father... it's comprised of woven, multi-coloured leather. He never, NEVER takes it off... so what's underneath is ever a mystery waiting to be solved.

He wears a white jumpsuit which he has added extra flair too with a fabric coil and belt made from the old sleeves and hat from the same outfit. A janitorial costume from his civilian life. The boots and gloves are thin yellow latex mostly, with a few straps of leather here and there. Paja picked them up at a 100 poke store rather recently, along with the red scarf tied around his neck. Paja doesn't have all that many bodily features obtained from his pokemon fusion, apart from his wings the only notable change is the spreading of tightly woven red feathers along his arms and hands. He stands at a height of 6'2" and his eyes are his most notable feature, shining a piercing yellow colour.

Well, his most notable feature aside from his rippling and oh so heroic muscles!

Paja is a hero! He is constantly instilled with a strong and overwhelming sense of justice that drives him, demands that he do good in any and all scenarios. He has been gifted with an incredible power beyond the means of any normal man or pokémon and he will use this power to save... everyone! He is stoic, brave and rash, rushing into every situation head on and getting ready to deliver a fatal blow to the forces of evil! His expression is only ever one of two things... the stone cold gaze of justice, or the friendly and welcoming smile of a savior. Indeed, Paja is truly a man of incredible stature and power. None can truly comprehend the inner complexities of this heroic face of righteous fury. He is, in every way, a pillar of good faith and the best intentions. A role model, telling everyone to always try their best. Completely collected, totally awesome and always the first and last to take action!

Well... maybe there's a little more to it than that.

Elliot's always been a socially awkward type of person, afraid to reach out and make friends... yet at the same time totally terrified of being left behind. He gets attached easily and finds it difficult to let people go. He'd rather throw himself on a pyre than lose a friend, maybe because the friends he's had have always been so far and few between. He dreams of being a real hero, like his Dad and hawlucha. The kind of person who is capable of throwing themselves out there and giving everything they have to do what's right. He's filled with a sense of crippling doubt surrounding his own abilities and inner strength. Elliot was never good enough to do anything worthwhile. So with his Hawlucha's strength and his fathers mask... he just... stops being Elliot. No more doubt. No more fear. No more hesitation. Elliot can't do anything right, but Pajaro de Lucha can. Pajaro de Lucha has to. When he wears his mask, Paja is a strong and powerful presence, a little silly and naive sure, but filled with a confidence that takes over everything else. Even if he makes a stupid decision, he can still accept his intentions and give it his all. When the mask comes off, Elliot is shy, unassuming and unable to face reality. He feels who he was is too weak a person to live the life he has now chosen to lead. So he'll just wear a mask and be someone better.

About 15 years ago, Elliot's father Paka moved to Kanto from a smaller, less populated region to the West, somewhere closer to Kalos. Elliot ad always looked up to and admired his father, his mother had died in childbirth and so he had only ever had his Dad, and his Dads trusty partner Hawlucha, to take care of him. Back home his father had been a famous masked wrestler, engaging in "Poke Libres" with his Hawlucha. It had always seemed so amazing to Elliot. A pokémon battle where trainer and pokémon fought side by side?! That was crazy! His Dad must have been so strong and tough. It was a shame really, that Elliot never got to see one of those matches. Paka had given up the sport when Elliot was born in order to focus on raising his son and when Elliot was four years old they moved to Kanto, where Poke Libres didn't exist in any form or medium.

Elliot lived a happy and normal life, he worked alongside his father for many years at a costume store in Cerulean City. Paka was good at maintaining the various trainer outfits of the various trainer classes that persisted throughout Kanto and while Elliot wasn't nearly as good he was content to help out and work with his old man, in the evenings Paka would return the favor in a way, by home schooling Elliot... Paka was rather well taught for a wrestler, Elliot had always noted.

When Elliot was 15, four years ago... Paka passed away from a sudden strike of illness. Elliot was unable to do anything and regardless of all his fathers earnings from his life as a wrestler, there was nothing anyone could do to save him. Elliot inherited Hawlucha and his fathers store, but without Paka's expertise Elliot couldn't run the business successfully... eventually the outcome of bankruptcy loomed menacingly over Elliot and he was forced to shut the store down. The funds from Paka's retirement would easily keep him afloat but, he didn't like the idea of living entirely off of his late fathers work, so he sought odd jobs.

It started with a simple advertisement on a store window. Asking for work doing the one thing Elliot had ever been any good at, a small and silly business under his fathers name.

Your mess is our stress! Help us out and let us clean it!
No mess too messy.

Call: *************"

He got a call from a private number. It stated that it would provide him with decent work and honest pay, but he had to promise to tell nobody of what he saw... lest he suffer the consequences of his actions. Desperate for any work he could receive, he agreed.

And so Elliot and Hawlucha entered into the service of Team Rocket.

Elliot wondered why such a big corporation required random odd job workers to act as cleaners for them... but he didn't have that question long. He was assigned to clean up chemical waste and other such products that came as waste from a special volunteer project being undertaken at the facility. Elliot was expendable, so he wouldn't cause much of a fuss for the group if he said anything... or at least that was the impression he got.

Elliot only ever caught brief glimpses of what was happening behind the scenes. Splicing genes... mixing formulas... once or twice he swears he saw ungodly creatures that were gone before he even fully understood that they were there. He didn't ask questions. He was doing work... and making his way in the World... his Dad would be proud right?... Right?

Little did he know that working with chemicals constantly,with minimal protection, would prove him very wrong.

Hawlucha got very sick, the last member of his family was old and strong... but not strong enough to resist the harsh conditions of their workplace. One day upon getting home from work the pokémon collapsed into Elliots arms. He panicked, he didn't know what to do in this situation. He tried potions, berries, anything he had but nothing was working. He cried and held his friend... he was useless, he was losing the only person he had left and like his father, Elliot could do nothing to save him. In desperation he ran out of his house in the late evening, his pokémon laying limply in his arms. The streets were empty and there was nobody around to help him. He screamed and cried out for some help. ANY help. He had to do something. Someone had to hear him. Someone had to help him. Anybody.

A man approached from seemingly out of nowhere. Elliot recognized the R emblazoned on his labcoat... and the gentle smell of latex coming from the gloved hand he had outstretched.

"We can save a... portion... of your friends life." He said.

"But it will come with a price."

Elliot didn't hesitate... he took the scientists hand, packed a small bag as quickly as he could... and went with him without question. Not knowing the immense change he had just inadvertently agreed to bring upon his life.

The whole of the plot is to be revealed once the IC goes up. For now all that's known is a certain event will take place, allowing all of you to run free from the company. Events will be set in motion by a select few, begging the rest to follow their lead and aid in taking down this multi-regional company's nefarious business.

Personality: Being clinically deaf, Clover has had to rely on three things to communicate with others: writing, sign language and her ability to read others' lips. The last two, combined with the fact that she has always been forced to be an observer rather than a participant, has made her extremely observant and therefore very accurate in both her way of thinking and other situations. Due to her ability, chlorophyll, Clover can often be found outside playing catch with other children, climbing on top of things she (probably) shouldn't be climbing on, and proceeding to glide down using her fluff of hair. She is obviously mute due to the fact she can't speak properly - the only sentences she has taught herself to say regularly are "Where is the bathroom?" and "Sorry, I am deaf". This causes her to be fairly oblivious of what is happening around her and often spiral off to her own adventures.

History: Clover was born to a young lower-average income couple in the elegant region of Kalos as one of not two, not three, but in fact four twins, two of which were identical and the others fraternal. Clover was one of the two identical twins. One of the children had also been born with a rare brain disease, for which the surgery was much too expensive for her parents. Unable to deal with the simultaneous upbringing of four children, one of which was sick, the newly wed couple gave custody of two of the children to another couple whom they had discussed the matter with, who had proven themselves unable to bear any children. Promising to take care of them, the couple took in Clover and her ill brother as their own children. Unbeknownst to their parents however, the couple was not what they had told them at all. They were in reality business partners, posing as a couple and "buying" children from families at lower costs than the SSRC would pay; then giving them to the SSRC at a higher price - and reaping the profits. However, Clover's brother never made it to that point, and died while in their custody.

Growing up within the SSRC's walls, Clover was always a more sheltered test subject due to her deafness. She often had to be guided and followed by a researcher at all times during her younger years, and has such developed a liking for many of the researchers at the institution. Her relationship with her fellow test subjects has always been fairly friendly - after all, nobody would pick on the little deaf girl - but her disability has always caused her to feel slightly alienated from the rest of the children her age.

It is unknown if Clover was deaf upon birth or 'acquired' the disability along with her Pokemon transformation. Although, she has so much hair and fluff around her head and ears that even a person with perfect hearing would be nearly deaf trying to hear through it.

Actually, aeternum, what is your stance on accepting more characters after the first arc? As intrigued as I am, I would like to see how the IC thread fares before posting an application. I'd probably be more comfortable waiting until a later arc.
