Okay, maybe a REAL noob question...
But hey, how could I learn ?!
Anyway, I'm not familiar with Hidden Power so, got a Charmender that suppose to know Hidden Power Grass...

Is it normal that when I teach it to him, it's still said that's a normal type attack ?!

Please somebody help, I feel little ashamed :P

And you should be. n00b questions are te worst.

Kidding, kidding, can you imagine if I was like that?

Well, Hidden Power is a move that varies in type and power, based on the IV's of the pokemon. It goes from 30-70 base power, with different type.

For help on IV's, look
here.

Hey thanks a lot Sims and airconditioning :)

Yeah, it always says Normal. It would be awesome if you could find HP type by teaching them Hidden Power- it would make finding IVs a lot easier.

Anyway, I'm about to SR for a Cresselia in Pearl. Anyone know a good build for it? I looked at Smogon's sets, but I'm not sure what to go with.

Cressy is winnage.

Cresselia@Leftovers
252 HP / 108 DEF / 148 SP.DEF
Bold Nature
- Charge Beam
- ice Beam / Psychic
- Reflect
- Rest

I run that, the spread provides you with equal defenses and allows you to take hits from both sides of the spectrum, including taking around 60% from a choice specs Draco meteor.

Charge Beam wastes Gyarados and actually makes cressys piss poor sp.att decent, Ice Beam for dragons and Psychic gets STAB and is very useful for taking out mixape and gengar.

Reflect help with Weavile and T-Tar wanting to Pursuit you and also helps with Physical mence and provides team support.

Rest in that last slot >> Nooblight, i mean Moonlight, due to sandstorm and hail being ever so common

ivs seen people run Hidden power Fighting or ground, for especially T-Tar and Heatran, but this is in game and i dont suppose you have the time for getting that, do you lol ?

Just a small question regarding Ambipom, I like the looks of the cheap flinch and flee set and would it be better with Adamant or Jolly nature? I can see Jolly nature outrunning Gengar (swapping Payback with Shadow Claw) and standard Garchomp and etc etc, but Adamant one looks tempting as it can hit for quite a bit of damage. Opinions?

They're too common-ish I wanna try something unique. *Is still confuse whether to have Adamant/Jolly nature*

Thats what I had planned, I get your idea of using Double Hit to hit through a Substitute, now I'm paranoid of using non 100% acc move, I've had nightmares where Fire Fang missed twice ._. Anyways Shadow Claw for Gengar perhaps? it'll want to switch out more due to its weak defense. (refusing to go with Payback btw)
Something like..

-Fake Out
-U-turn
-Brick Break
-Shadow Claw

coverage lol

Not just Gengar only, there's Starmie, Slowking, Gardevoir etc more. Yeah if that's the case I'd rather be using Return thus moves with perfect accuracy.

Choice Band > Life Orb if your gonna be doing hit and run attacks with it... CB Tech Fake Out with STAB, hurts

Not all hit and run pokes need to use U-Turn 100% of the time.

try this.....

Ambipom@lifeorb
fake-out
pursuit
brick-break
double-hit

or the other one that can't hit ghosts but owns a lot of other things...
Ambipom@lifeorb
fake-out
taunt
last resort.

when you come upon a ghost if you use this set just switch

Lumine, if you're really dedicated to this ambipom use

Ambipom@Choice band/Life orb
Jolly
Technician
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 6 HP
Puruit
Ice Punch
Thunder Punch
Fire Punch / Brick Break / U-turn
