He uses all ground pokemon so a water, grass, ice pokemon will do the trick, but here is the pokemon he uses.

Ryhorn Lv. 45
Dugtrio Lv. 42
Nidoqueen Lv. 43
Nidoking Lv. 45
Rhydon Lv. 50

Not entirerly sure about the levels and I think he has a Kangaskhan , But I'm not sure

And for shiny pokemon the only way to find them is by luck because the is about a 1 out of 8195 chance of you encountering a shiny pokemon

Thanks, but any specifics on how to get there?
You get to the island via the ferry system. To use the ferries, you need to obtain the Mystic Ticket to get to Navel Rock and Aurora Ticket to get to Birth Island.

I'm trying to breed a Sneasel whose dad (Also a Sneasel that I'll be breeding with a Ditto) knows Swords Dance from a move tutor. I've been breeding for awhile, and I'm noticing that tutor moves don't seem to pass on (bred a Kangaskhan with a Tyranitar that knew rock slide as a father, wasn't born with rock slide). I'm wondering, do tutor moves pass to babies?

if it is an egg move, yes, it SHOULD, but if it is not an egg move, a level up move, or a TM that can be learned by all the corresponding stages of the pokemon, then it will not be learned through breeding. for tutor moves like Swords Dance that is NOT an egg move for Sneasel, the move cannot be passed onto a new sneasel. it really stinks, i know, and i'm sorry that you can't train a new sneasel the way you prefer.

but some good news: if you are training for D/P, swords dance IS a TM in D/P (tm 75 to be exact).

Where can I find Dratini ? I think there are some in the safari zone but I'm not sure where, And I need to get a Male and a Female( for breeding reasons)

Its in the waters. You will have to fish for it with I believe, the Super Rod.

it's easier just to buy one at the casino coin for prize exchange. it's not that expensive. if you don't have enough money to get that many coins, go to 5 island and use the amulet coin to retrieve money from the lasses on that pleasant island place (where that one girl gives you prizes for showing her certain pokemon). you get 20,000 from one and 19,000 from the other for having the amulet coin on a pokemon that makes an appearance in the battle. use Vs Seeker on them to battle them a mere 6-8 times, and you'll have enough money to purchase enough coins for a couple dratini.

Tutor moves cannot be passed on through breeding.

Dratini can only be found in the Safari Zone and as it was said, can be purchased in the Celadon Game Corner for a cheap 2800 coins in FR and a stiffer 4600 coins in LG.

You only need a female though. You can breed for a male.

Do the field effects of pokemons abilities work if the pokemon has fainted but is still in the lead position? For example, if I have a fainted Venonat in the lead position, do I still have an increased chance of finding wild pokemon with a help item?

no, abilities dont work like that. The ability in effect is the Pokemon that is battling.

I believe you are referring to the added abilities in Emerald only. While it doesn't apply here, those abilities will still work even though the Poke is fainted. Again, that ONLY works in Emerald.

ok, just tried to trade some poke's onto my emerald from fire red, and it says on my fire red that 'we cant trade with other regions yet', even tho ive got the ruby and sapphire. i need to trade in order to complete my pokedex on fire red. alakazam, machamp, etc. HELP

hey, jammer8891, can u answer ma question? ur the only 1 looking at this thread

okay, im talking about the extra effects that some of the abilities have. they are not listed in game, but they are well documented. for example, in metal kids program (which has an error in this section) you will find that keen eye or sight or whatever reduces the likelihood that you will encounter wild pokemon. compound eyes is supposed to increase the chance that the wild pokemon you encounter will have a held item. are you sayin that these extra field effects are only in emerald? because i have a guide/experience that says otherwise. my only question was whether or not these effects still work for those abilities that require the pokemon to be in the first slot if they have fainted. if this is still unclear, or you do not know, tell me, so i dont do extra work on false info. thanks

have you gone and spoken to Celeio to have them put into the machine on One Island?

about the questions about the abilities, It should be asked in the Simple Questions in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald forum.

Where do you find Houndour in FireRed/ LeafGreen?

You find Houndour in the Altering cave on 6 island I think.

Don't forget that you also must have the National Pokedex in Emerald in order to trade.

It is only for Emerald. As I said before, it doesn't matter if the Poke has fainted or not, the extra ability in Emerald will still work. It follows the same principles as the HM moves.

Houndour cannot be found in FRLG. You must trade from Emerald. Houndour cannot be found in Altering Cave either. That plan was scrapped when the e-Reader bombed. Altering Cave now only houses Zubat.

shanecdavis, with all do respect, so not reply to this post. the ability issue is not only in emerald, as i have for a fact used pick-up, compound-eyes, etc. with success. i do thank you for the response. i will assume that since the abilities still work when the pokemon faints in emerald, that it works in fr/lg. the field effects are definately not only in emerald.
