The two self-killers (Self-Destruct & Explosion), Razor Leaf (but not Magical Leaf, oddly enough...), Heat Wave, Rock Slide,...can't think of any more right now (stupid headcold).
 
about double battles, do attacks that hit both opponents usually separate in power? i don't really pay attention whenever i'm EV training but i once noticed Surf having half its effect but on each of the opponents.

How exactly does iron work? I've been giving iron to my Tyrogue to ensure it evolves into Hitmonchan, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything at all.

Iron raises the base defence stat of your Pokemon. To evolve Tyrogue you have to have to have your Def stat higher than your Atk stat. Then, once its over level 20, level it up one level and it will evolve.
 
I get that, but I don't understand why the iron doesn't seem to be raising his attack stat.

Iron only raises Def stat. Protein is what raises Atk.

But to get Hitmonchan, you need to have Def higher than Atk.
 
Oh, I mistyped. I want the iron to raise his defense cause I want Hitmonchan. Why isn't it raising his defense score?

A Pokemon can only take a number of each specific vitamin. Does it say anything that tells you Iron cant be taken by Tyrogue?? Like saying "it will have no effect"?
 
No, it lets me give it to him. It just only seems to raise his stat about 1 point every 3 iron i give him.
 
Your problem is that Hitmonchan has a mediocre base Def stat, so don't expect a Iron to increase it much unless, as you have said, you feed it three. Just make sure the Def is higher than Atk at Lv19 and you will be okay.

Keep in mind that you can only feed a Poke a maximum of 10 vitamins (100 EV points) in any one stat, even less if you have already has EVs earned in that stat from you using it in battle.
 
Does riding your Bike count as steps in hatching an egg beacause I have been riding my bike for about 10 min and my egg still hasn't hatched.
 
It certainly does. 10 minutes is much too long for an egg to hatch, unless you aren't using those steps effectively. The most steps required to hatch a Poke is 10,240. If you fly to Celadon City and then head west and down Cycling Road to the entrance of Fuschia City, that is rougly 400 steps. Simple math tells us that doing that 25 times should get your egg to hatch.

Is there something you are not telling us, perhaps? Was this egg received by cheating means?
 
Question: i hear that there are more islands after seven island, but i can't find them anywhere?
 
yeah, the cycling road always does the trick for those dang eggs.

and jammi: yes, but they are event islands. you have to get certain items (tickets, i believe) to get to those islands to catch some legendaries. i forget which ones because i never cared about it, but i'm sure someone will fill you in on all that.

Island 8 is Navel Rock, where you find Lugia and Ho-oh. Island 9 is Birth Island, where you find Deoxys. Just to let you know, don't know if it helped.

You would have to have gone to the specific Nintendo Events to receive the items for those places to be unlocked OR by cheating.
 
Crap! ohh well, seeing as i can't do either of those options, i'll give up. Thanks for the answers though.
