Hello everyone, I wanted to post this here instead of in the capture release thread as it didn't go with the topic. Before we get started, please be nice to each other as this episode is possibly banned because of a controversial reasoning.
Recently people have started to see that the Passimian episode where Ash dresses up like a Passimian has been banned in the dub. I asked Joe Merrick and he also says it seems like it has, however he is waiting for confirmation in case the order of the time the episode is played is just messed up.
The reason this was possibly banned is because Ash dressed up like a Passimian. When he does this, he paints his face black and this is probably why it was banned, if it is banned and not out of order.
This method of acting was once called "Black-facing." it was where white actors would paint there face black in order to play as a black person in theatrical plays. This method was later retired in the 1960s due to the Civil Rights Movement.
Remember it has not been completely confirmed yet that this episode was banned and could be out of order. However, I don't know why it would be out of order unless something happens in the episode that is possibly frowned upon because of the Volcanic Activity currently going on in Hawaii.
Please be nice, I just wanted to post this to explain why this episode was banned.
