Small Writing Competition - Results

The scores have been tallied and the results are in. There were a lot of high scores this year, even before factoring in the addition of a fourth judge, and it wasn't always easy to decide how to rank people. That's because everyone who submitted something put the work in to make their story (or other writing) the best they possibly could. So well done to you all and thank you for participating. Now, onwards to what you're all here for!

Bronze: A Surprise Team Skull Grunt - 50 pts
Silver: Both coming in with a final total of 109 points, Eleanor and Juno both earned 100 points for Team Magma!
Gold: In first place, Sapphire Rose from Team Aqua earning with a score of 112, just edging out Eleanor and Juno for the gold medal and earning 150 points.

Additionally, we have achievements! Team Aqua had just a few more submissions, earning an extra 50 points for their team. On a more individual level, Venia Silente used the longest stream of alliteration which earned them an additional 10 points.

You can find more detailed results and feedback on every submitted piece here. Additionally, we highly encourage you to share your creations over in Fan Fiction & Writing (don't forget to label it [SWC] in the title).

Once again, you all did an amazing job. We look forward to doing this again next year.

Good job and congratulations to all the winners <3

I honestly stared at the screen for a little bit when I saw I had come in first place.

POST ALL YOUR STORIES THOUGH. I would really like to read them ;v; <3

(You can read my lil story inspired by the rivalry in Eevee Arcade here)

I am satisfied with the judgement. I also felt that story was too short because many things went missing. Although I thought to keep it short considering that the event demands short story.

Though it was fun from my end, still losing feels bad, but will do better next time.....

Wheeee! Anxiety worked!

Anyway, congrats to the winners. I'm taking a look around at the various stories posted.

Mine, a bit of "extrospection" about dog mons in Pokémon, can be found here.

EDIT: to the judges: is the doc with the scores permanent? Or should we keep our copies?

I'm not planning to delete it any time soon. It's always a good idea to save things you want to make sure you keep though.

LOL next year they'll probably have another rule, "No nonfiction essays/papers" and it'll be because of my entry haha

I didn't submit this expecting to win anything, but (a) I couldn't think of any good fiction for the plot that wasn't some generic trainer story, and (b) I wanted to do something different and unorthodox this time around. Plus, even if it isn't fan fiction (or fiction at all) it's at least getting me back into writing something, at least. Now to not write anything else until next year since I'm still not motivated enough to write about anything dealing with Pokemon *shrugs*

(Also what do you mean there weren't any characters in my entry? Remember Lisa, from my old fan fictions? She doesn't hold a candle to the epic characters that are Craig and Christine Traveler lol)
