Icons are 100x100, not what you have there. But anyways, the positioning for them is fine on most of them. The ones with white backgrounds should probably lose the white backgrounds, which is fairly easy to do if you follow this tutorial (though it's PS-only). Finally, Idk how accurate this is, but it looks like all you did was crop and resize the icons. If you wanna make them look nicer, you gotta add effects to them. Even just duplicating layers and changing the layer type makes them look nice, and that's something you can do in Gimp and PS.

Omg, that Vulpix & Ninetales one was adorable and sad at the same time. ;__; And I like your icons, but I'm agreeing with what Roswell said. However, practice makes perfect! 8D

Goodness, those icons look to be about 200x200. D; Yeah, like Roswell said, icons are commonly 100x100. Also, you might wanna add effects to the pictures. Just cropping them without adding anything is not only kinda boring, but it's just...idk what the word I'm looking for is. Something about it, I just don't like. Add something to make it your own, and make it stand out from the others.

To add what the others said dodging and blurring can help a bit too. And please don't make them that big. :| They're huge and an icon is about 100x100 or around 130x130. :|
