Okay well
I finally finished red and i deleted the rest of my post because it is getting too freaking long
but here is the final stats

(Please put me as a guy who finished within 24 hours)

Mini Update:
-Chan evolved into Bliss at lv35 somewhere in Goldenrod.
-Went to Ecruetak, to realize I sold Mud Slap and Rollout.
-Basically, I don't have anything to use against Rival's Haunter or Morty's crew.
 
i got a Link for a voltorb flip helper to help you a little to earn flamethrower or ice beam
just google Voltorb flip helper
and you'll find some good ones
but don't think they are one hundred percent accurate
also think common sense as to search for dead rows

Ok since the R/B/Y Solo Challenge seems to have been abandoned....
I'll start this too!! :D What can I say? I love challenges!

I'm going to enter a second time
I'm going to run with a Wooper --> Quagsire setup!
Will update after every 2 Gyms (I beat the game in 1 full day so I cant make a super long Post)

Can you use an emulator to 'speed-up' the training process?

I think that would be a little cheap.

I use an emulator, I have too since my brother doesnt want me deleting the save on silver and my crystal's internal battery is dry.

If you mean holding space and doing it that way, I suppose that is too far
 
Holding space to do it is not cheap
it's just doint it faster
Its still legit isnt it?
not like im cheating by using a All Sleep and poison code
thats going overkill
holding space is ok because its not cheating or anything

Yeah, you can use the space button to speed the game up. That's what I do for all my challenges. The best excuse that I've heard of why that is cheating is "sometimes, training pokemon can get boring, and you end up quitting. If you have the speed button, then you stick to what you're doing for longer." However, I don't consider it cheating. If you end up quitting, then you shouldn't be doing this challenge in the first place. So yes, you can use the speed button.

I always use the speed up technique when it comes to training, it's not exactily fun to just train and train when you could get it done twice as fast, it gets the job done much faster so i'd say it's not cheating.
 
I'm going to resign my challenge
I accidently deleted the .SAV file
so I'm not going to restart
keep the threat up and I'll come back around some time

At bold: I noticed

However, Chan is now lv62.
I just got the Master Ball.
Moveset:
~Shadow Ball
~Blizzard
~Thunder
~Softboiled

I plan on replacing Softboiled with Return this Sunday.
I love this moveset with softboiled but I'm not using it so...

:S This challenge isnt very popular... we have maybe three of us actually doing it as of this post... I think.
Half Hearted - Could-of-waited-til-I-beat-the-gym update
Grinding Chinchou, level 11
Violet City gym and the Sprout Tower is driving me mental! :S


  • Bubble
  • Thunder Wave
  • Supersonic

Update (fo shizzle this time)

Chinchou, level 20


  • After god knows how long of grinding on Gastlys in Sprout Tower, Chinchou learnt Flail
  • Powered through all of Sprout Tower til the Elder when Flail ran out of PP.
  • Eventually beat the Elder by luck from Supersonic
  • Beat Falkner easily with Kazap!'s new found strength
  • Sped through the tunnel-ly cave thing, gaining valuable exp through the rock type trainers in there (Kazap! learnt Water Gun btw)
  • Sped through the Azalea Rocket sub plot thing, then after three tries, beat Bugsy!!
Water Gun
Thunder Wave
Supersonic
Flail

This certainly picked up after I got through Violet City!

Ok , I'm in (Crystal) :) !

The Pokemon random generator Says ... (Well , first it said Caterpie , then I started to headbutt the wall , but then I tried again , and Wolah!
I'll pick Snubbull - Granbull ! :t209: :t210:

After doing the newbie stuff, naming myself Jack , my rival Red I went to falkner city where I grinded some , went through the sprout tower , and after realising I didnt set the time to night missing my HM slave (Poliwag) *Facepalm*. But nothing to worry about , Snubby is at level 16 after beating Falkner...

Ok , went to Azalea town , wiped the floor with Snubby , after saving the not so innocent slowpokes I faced my rival , got annoyed by his Gastly just spamming hypnosis ... Then after finally waking up and biting the crap out of it, zubat came, got the same punishment medicine as Gastly , now came the tough part , his Bayleef O.O DARN RAZOR LEAFS CRIT HIT RATIO! well , after 3 super potions it also went down with a huge amount of some bites.

And after facing some trainers in the gym (Facing the one with level 12 Caterpie and a Level 12 Weedle, heard of evo no?) HE EVOLVED YAY! Beat Bugsy with some Moah Bite!

Caught a HM slave , not a good one tho , a Paras :/.
Teached it cut , got headbutt , removed lick and teached headbutt to my Snubby! beat some more trainers ... participated in the safari for lolz (Aka Grinding) , Got up to level 32 (Darn paras poisoning me.) Caught the Paras that poisoned me ... got second place for that lol :P!

Random pokemon generator gave me a Nidorino, so I will try this challenge with a Nidoking. I will be using the gold version.
