I'll be doing a solo Run with...Hmmmm....

How about with Infernape ! ;D

I shall do this challenge on Platinum version .

I feel so excited! My first solo run, ever! I only waited this long to sign up because I was frantically searching for my Pt game case lol.

Okay, I'll be playing Platinum and trading over an egg containing my soon-to-be faithful sidekick, Dratini. Which I will evolve all the way. =3 I can't wait to meet the little guy. Or girl, y'never know. And I'll be starting the challenge tomorrow. If I'm accepted, that is ^_^;.

Sorry guys, I just got back from a vacation with my friends where there was supposedly internet, but one of my friends lied and there really wasn't any. But I'm back now, so things will be picking up once again as soon as I finish updating. Both our new challengers are added to the list, as well as one of our veteran challengers. If I forget to include anyone's update, just PM me and I'll fix it as soon as I can. Thanks guys!

Update!

• Started in Twinleaf Town. Named myself Elise and my rival Lee.
• Headed out with Lee for adventure, bumped into Prof Rowan, and.. Fancy that! For our foolishness he rewarded us with pokemon! Chose Chimchar.
• Went home, talked to my mom, she said have fun and gave me a journal :)
• Caught my first pokie! Only to trade it for my precious Dratini egg, with whom I will be doing the challenge
• Hatched my egg (gosh this took forever... I think ten thousand some odd steps xD). It was a girl, named her Toothless.
• Oh yeah, she hatched with the eggmove Hyper Beam, but it's still practically useless at level 1, FYI.
• Went through Jubilife, defeated Lee no problem, then on to Oreburgh.
• Arrived in Oreburgh, talked to Roark and then lost once to him. (actually, is Roark a boy or a girl, I can never tell.) It was disappointing but I'm trying again as I type.

• Argh... I was really close to defeating Roark (it was a lot easier with Dragon Rage...) But his/her stupid Cranidos keeps Headbutting me to death...

EDIT: Defeated Roark!!! Cranidos used Leer first instead of Headbutt, and then I finished him off with 2 hits of Dragon Rage.. Thank Gawd.....

*yawn* Here's an update.

• So, I beat Rourk, that's old news. Left Oreburgh.
• Defeated the two Team Galactic Grunts, with a little help from Lucas and headed up to Floaroma.
• Helped out the little girl to save her father. Which included getting into the Valley Windworks and defeating Mars.
• Beat all the Trainers on Route 205.
• Made it through Eterna Forest with the help of Cheryl. (OMG, we're, like, totally BFF's now. Ya. :))
• Met Cynthia... Saw Lee... Blah blah blah.
• Defeated Gardenia and got the Forest Badge, which was a piece of cake ^_^
• Cynthia gave me an egg... Went down the bike road, went through that cave, Mt. Whatever-it-is-called, I can't quite recall at the moment.
• Uhm. Saw my mom, I guess that she's big into showing Pokemon and I never knew it. Who knew, eh?
• Made it though Fantina's gym trainers, (Evolved Toothless at lvl 31 into Dragonair!) then beat Fantina with only 2 HP left. Whew....
• Now I'm on Route 209. Woot. :)

This is going to be my first solo run on the 4th Gen games. I was thinking carefully about what pokemon would be right for this kind of challenge. In the end I chose Staryu. I think its a powerful pokemon, it can learn thunderbolt, psychic, ice beam, and surf.
If I can I'd like to sign up with a Staryu (i'll use pokemon modifier code to get it early). Also I'll be using Pokemon Diamond.
P.S Elise you don't start in Newbark, you start in Twinleaf :)

Got through all the crap to get my poke balls
caught a lv 5 Staryu: named it Vars
Saved game, taking a break.

traveled to floroama town, a few trainers and nothing else pother than Luxio grew to LV. 19! saved the game.

Oh my... I just fought an Ace Trainer on Route 221 who had a Cherrim that set up Leech Seed. I kept trying to recover but then just went for it and ended up winning with ONE HP left. Phew.

Went on to Floaroma town while beating all trainers
Beaten Team Galactic at the Valley Windworks
Went on to the Eterna Forest, met with Cheryl
Trained on wild pokemon and beaten all trainers with Cheryl
Came to Eterna City, received the Explorer Kit, challenged the gym.
Beaten all trainers in the gym except for the Leader (tried like 5 times now).

-Started the game, picked piplup as a starter.
-Battled my rival (Freddy) and just barely beat him.
-Traded Charmander egg -> it hached and so I called him Zippy.
-Grinded Zippy up to level 10 before battling the youngsters, and so he grew to level 11 by the time I reached Jubilife city.
-Met Looker and all that malarky, went to the trainer school etc beat them easily.

Charmander (Zippy) - Level 11:
Nature: Impish
Ability: Blaze
Attacks: Scratch / Ember / Metal Claw / Dig.

-Beat the trainers along route 203, got Rock Smash, taught it to Coober (the bidoof HM slave).
-Fought the Oreburgh mine people, which lead to Zippy evolving into Charmeleon :)
-Beat Roark fairly easy with the use of dig. (you gotta' love egg moves..)

Charmeleon (Zippy) is now on level 18 after beating the oreburgh gym. :)

 

[Pearlone]

-Beaten Gardenia, received Forest Badge
-Went to the Building filled with Galactics, beaten them all.
-Went to Cycle Shop got a Bike
-Went down the Bike Road beaten all trainers starting at Bike Road, ending at Hearthome Town.
-Talked to Fantina, told me to come back when I get stronger
-Beaten the Rival easily
-Searched through Solaceon Ruins, saved at Solaceon city.

I'm going to try this with a Kabuto that's going to evolve, now that I got a Platinum ROM working.

Saved game.

I won't have much time to regulary do this, due to exams.

EDIT 2: Platinum ROM decided to break. Going to transfer all my good Pokemon and items to Pearl and reset Platinum on DS. Could be a while until next update.

i left ALOT of trainers behind& never fought them, & i was thinking of using either a shuckle, or newly hatched horsea if you excepted ^_^

Hmmmmm.... What to do...... I think ill give it a try after my mono-type..

(ugh... just spent a day in the car... Yay roadtrips? Unluckily, I can't really play in the car because it makes me sick :\)

So, UPDATE:

• Left Hearthome City after getting the badge, Beat Rival Lee.
• Up Route 209 to Solaceon Town, I didn't spend much time there though, skipped the ruins, I'll come back later to explore and do the Unown. I was a little too bored to do it then.
• Beat all the trainers on Route 210 and made it to Veilstone.
• Trained up a bit then took on the 3rd gym leader (what's her name again? Marlene?) Beat her on the second try xD.
• Trained some more on Route 214 then helped Ethan get his Pokedex back.
• Got HM Fly.

Sorry it's so short, I'll edit it in a bit. I've been playing SS and Pearl a lot lately too so I haven't spent as much time on is as I could've...
