I would just like to point out that my boyfriend, who's never been on PC himself but has seen me go on it, looked at the theme today when I sent him a link and was like "that layout is absolutely horrible, what is it?" Lololol.

Clearly, it's applesauce and the point of Popcorn was to fool people into thinking THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER accidentally came onto Serebii's forum instead. For the past two applesauce that I can remember, we've had Popcorns that THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER could not change for the entire day because it was part of the applesauce prank. You either deal with it and enjoy the fun like the rest of the members or you come back the next day when everything is normal.

Not to mention, there's this entire thread right here (which frankly is hard to miss given the name and how big it is) that's discussing all the pros and cons of the staff's joke this year on what people like and what THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER don't like. So, we don't need a bunch of the same threads cluttering the forum.

Also, it's not like we were going to change the Popcorn until applesauces Day was over anyway.

I saw a group that was solely dedicated to creating new inventions, or remaking old ones in my engineering lecture last semester. Their strategy? Write down every single little thing one of them thinks, no matter how stupid, on a post-it and stick it to the wall. In the end there were hundreds of ideas, and it got narrowed down to a few which were combined into one invention.

That's how I imagine the PC prank being created.

The title of this thread keeps on changing. But I would love to have some Split Treefruit Sauce; sounds delish! Would go well with my SoulSilver, that's for sure. :)

yiyiyiyi! I can actually work on my thread now. This joke tops todoroki in my opinion, but I think the slowpoke one was better as it also poked fun at how PC either lags or dies often. xD

There will always be someone overreacting to the April Fool's prank that PC does. It happens every year. But I am glad to see that the majority had a lot of fun with it.

Still, I'm so glad to get the Oshawott from Generation InVerse skin back. I can browse the forums again!

This one did too, since SPPf was/is still somewhat known for lagging.

aw, I had 3 hours left
though I didnt even figure out the censers just
black, game/s, other, another, theme/styles, zerkrom/reshiram, some others i think. oh well

Hm, can we modify the slowpoke theme, so it changes avatars, and keep the serebii theme with the censors? ;P
and keep them ofcourse xD we never have to leave applesauce behind!!
 
Now that the censors are gone and I can go back to my prviously scheduled forum style, I guess it's time for me to change back into my manly avatar/signature. XDD

This was one of the funniest April Fools pranks PC has pulled in awhile, and I'd just like to take the opportunity to let the staff know that I appreciated it...you know, to contrast from all the haters we saw today. XD
 
Whoa. I switched to the "Serebii PokeCommunity" skin from "Route 167" for an extra dose of April Fool's/applesauces, and minutes later it switched to the first theme/popcorn I ever used: Forever Standing. Nostalgia Wave...commence now. Even more fitting because I hit my 1000th post earlier today. :)

Think I might cruise around in Forever Standing for a bit before switching to Route 167.

Also, I loved how the Game censor gave us this gem:

Immediately, I thought of the trope Too Incompetent to Operate A Blanket, not to mention this video. XD Ugh, I should have watched this in 1911 Vintage Mode! :cer_laugh:



P.S. Does anyone have a copy of the Tympole censor? I was saving it for the glossary I'm compiling! (It would be fantastic if a mod could draft up an official glossary for us to use for reference and to look back on. :))

I'll second this. Of all the April Fools' Day pranks I saw on the web today, PC most definitely had the best.
 
Oh, finally. Now I can go ahead and preview my signatures! :D I was so desparate. :( And I can use my green font again, because trust me, green forums + green font = not a good combination. I think I can safely say that I am sooo looking forward for next year. lol
