    Yep, the name's been released (finally!) I'm actually sort of excited about this one as we're finally going to see the clone wars in full force and Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader. There's not much more information about the movie out right now, so I barely know anything else. I suppose we'll have to wait to see the trailer to know more, but it's still very exciting to hear about. Just 10 months until RotS, then I guess...so, your opinions?

    Haha, so they did it afterall, they completed the chain of starting letters for the titles. The Phantom Menace > The Empire Strikes Back Attack of the Clones > A new hope and now Return of the Jedi > Revenge of the Sith. Nifty. @_@; I?ll probably see it opening night, like Ep II~

    Kairi - What you posted would be a lot more interesting or freaky is they also matched with the order of their respective trilogies. Umm... I don't think I wrote that correctly.

    *crosses fingers* Please be a good movie, please be good movie, please be a good movie. RotJ is my favourite Star Wars movie. I want to see how they'll connect the two trilogies. Obviously, we know what to expect. But I want to see how far they'll. Like will end relatively close to the beginning of ANH, or will it leave say a ten year gap between the trilogies?

    Unless they do a huge time jump, probably pretty far before the first Trilogy. Since Ani is still...well, Ani at the start of this one, and Padm? is pregnant.

    Meh, you're probably right. I read somewhere (I really wish I could remember where) that this movie is relatively short compared to the other ones. So it?s probably best to not cram it with stuff, otherwise it might feel rushed.

    Ooo... thanks for letting me know! Must tell family now...

    Yes hopefully it will be a good movie. It will probably tie into A new Hope with the birth/hiding of the twins. Anakin after all did not know he was a father, or did not know what happened to the kids.

    The question now is what, if anything, will GL do next?

    Speaking of family, this thread actually helped me. My mom came in my room a few days ago and said ?Abby, know what the name of the new Star Wars movie is?? and before she could say it I said ?Revenge of the Sith!? Was fun. XD

    Being new here, I 'm not sure what age groups make up this site, kids and teens I imagine. Being one of the very few (on this site) that went to see Star Wars: A New Hope when it was FIRST released, about 25 years ago, I am excited and saddened for the third movie. Hopefully it will be better than the first two. I am saddened that this will be the last Star Wars movie. It is, or was rumored, that there would be movies set after Jedi but I don't see GL doing that.
    I am also glad he is finally releasing the original 3 movies on DVD. It took him long enough. I imagine after three is released on DVD he will make a mega pack of movies 1-6 on DVD.

    He?s close anyways. ^_^;
    I had heard rumors someone else was going to do more movies perhaps base doff of the new Jedi Order series, but that?s probably just rumors. I kind of like how the Jedi Academy games do story, but I doubt it?d get a movie unless Episode III does ridiculously well.

    Well, Kairi, unless they spring a movie on us where Harry Potter, Spider-Man, and Legolas team up to find Nemo again the week that RotS (what a crappy abbreviation) comes out, I think it's going to make a ridiculous amount of money =P All the other ones have been box office smashes after all, right?

    I'd like a new trilogy...I was always hoping there would be movies based on Shadows of the Empire, but they never made them...y'know, the things with prince Xizor and all that...but the original actors wouldn't dare try to do star wars again at their age...I actually wouldn't mind an hour special in the theaters dealing with any topic from any time each year, as long as I get my Star Wars fix o_O

    Yeah, but a lot of people are dissatisfied with the first two episodes, and Episode II was the first Star Wars film not to be the top grosser the year it came out, I believe. I mean, sure it?s got a lot of sentimental value, but I dunno?.
    Oh, and I?d see that movie you mentioned. ;x

    Dissatisfied? Eh, they lack in story, admittedly, but I'm easily won over by special effects =P

    Besides, I have to hope for more movies because I collect the figures and no movies means no more new figures ;_;

    Episode II was almost entirely special effects really. o.o; So little was real, but it was cool. My mother was OBSESSED with it and saw it like?14 times. And I?m not exaggerating.

    Yeah, Episode II lacked any sort of fulfilling story whatsoever, but the Geonosis Arena and Yoda vs. Dooku scenes made up for it IMO =P I watched the behind the scenes stuff on the DVD and they acted the entire time in front of green screens (which probably takes a lot of talent when there's nothing to visualize around you o_o;; )

    I wish I had the money, time, and local theater to be one of those superfans who sees one movie 20 or 30 times...I probably could have done that with Episode II and all the LotR movies probably. I did watch Toy Story approxamately 50 times when it came out on video back when I was 7, always once and sometimes twice a day o_O

    I would like to see remakes of the old movies, but chances of that is like 1/billion.
    I wonder why he didn't do the movies in order?

    Remakes of the original movies? Not a chance. GL already did that with the Special Edition versions of the first three movies. Actually the Special Edition was not what they originally intended. The original film stock that Star Wars was printed on, started to deteriorate. GL decided that they needed to save the film before it was gone completely. So they went back frame by frame restoring the film and converting it to digital. Then the special effects guys at the ranch went to GL and said hey we can make this better. Improve on the special f/x. Old footage was added and the special f/x were worked on and thus was born the Special Edition versions of the movies.

    Well Star Wars : A New Hope (formally known as Star Wars) was originally meant to be the first movie. But as he developed the characters and their back story the entire story grew. Around the time Star Wars was released, Lucas had plans to make Nine movies in total. Which he later changed his mind about. Also, when movies 4-6 came out people thought that the movies were about Luke. We now know they have been about Anakin/Darth.
