    [PokeCommunity.com] Stardew Valley

I'm just curious, is anyone playing Stardew Valley here? :3

Let's talk about this wonderful game!

*** Fans of Harvest Moon, you should try this!!

I am so in to this game! I took a demo of this game and tried out. It has very similar to the Harvest Moon but in PC version which is kinda awesome!
The sprites are well done! I haven't finished the demo yet and for sure I will grab the game when in discount!

Yeah it's so look alike Harvest Moon that I wonder how they didn't got any law issues! :O

    Aaaah I saw this in steam and I want it. ;-;
Eh, I'll get it next time I have monies during a sale.

It looks fun. Where do I find it?

It's on steam but you can get it off steam too (my friend just took my computer and installed it without asking me because he knew I would love this). This way it's free but you can't play online.

Glad someone finally made a thread, I was starting to think nobody on here was interested in this game. Now where's that SUPERHOT thread?

But yeah, pretty much heard it described as PC's Harvest Moon. I've been wanting it and this last couple of weeks has basically just been me going back and forth about whether I should get it or wait, avoiding pretty much anything I can about it despite it being everywhere.

Probably should wait, though; been buying too many off-sale games, lately. Suppose I'll wait for the Summer Sale :q

I suck at describing a game and trying to aell it, but I really recommand it :3

There is just so many stufd tou can do, a day isn't enough.

Take the good old Harvest Moon.
    - Raise crops
    - Search for stuff to sell
    - go fishing
    - keep ressources to built a barn, coop, etc. (I am still not there and I am in late Summer)
    -Marry someone
    -Befriend everyone
    -Have a child (or not)
    -go Minning
    -Unlock new areas

    But!! There is more!

    - you can marry both girl or boy, no matther your gender!
-... you can have a baby no matther who you married!
-the mines has monsters, you got weapons
    - you have some missions to fill (like kill 30 monsters, as an example)
    - there is the community center where you do some missions who will unlock new awesome stuff (as for what I've read)

    And more!!

So I can finally be a lesbian in my farming simulator?!?

Brb buying the game right now.

Austin got it for me like.. 3 or 4 days ago and I've already put over 10 hours in, I need help, lol. At first I was just like "cool, Harvest Moon on PC" (which was honestly enough to draw me in already anyway), but there's so much more to do in it!

I do have a question though, in the relationships screen, what do the little green X's next to the presents mean? Is that how many gifts it takes to get to the next level of friendship or something?

The mark is because you gave a gift, a difference between HM and this game is that in Stardew Valley you can only give two gifts a week. (I mean, two gifts per villager)

Guys... I found a patch for some sprites....

I just found this - nowhere - on my facebook page o.O

I saw that on Steam too! That's another thing I'm really excited about for this game - being on PC, it's very mod-able and I'm thinking the devs will be planning future updates for it as well, so it'll be a continuously growing project with even more new things in the future.

I know ConcernedApe is already working on a multiplayer mode for Stardew Valley too, really looking forward to that.

    Yes!!!
Unfortunately, my game isn't on steam so I can't play multiplayer :(
I am curious to see what it's gonna be!

Been watching the Game Grumps play it and I really want to buy it soon. It's like Minecraft and Harvest Moon had a kid.

It's fun. I'm not looking up anything about the game and just playing as I go. Lots of Harvest Moon knowledge has helped me here. If it follows Harvest Moon, there's a lot of timing that goes into events, gifts, and tons of little hidden features that spice up game play. Hard not to look them up.

I did look up and it's promising :D

    I couldn't say better!

I really, really want to buy this game. My friends are all playing it and I loved Harvest Moon!

I'm really conflicted on either getting the game now or wait on a sale...

    Someone help me.

I saw this in my steam queue the other day, and had to take a moment to debate things, since I was like...hey, this looks like it could be fun, and it's relatively cheap! ...oh, but I have so many other games I should finish up first... ._. but it looks fun!

So yeah, I think once it goes on sale I'll nab it then. I'll have fewer qualms then about paying for a game that might just sit in my list for a while, eh heh.
