Steam Holiday Sale 2014

For an interesting piece of Gaming History, check out I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream! This Point-and-Click type adventure takes an interesting direction, as it explores the back stories of the 5 characters in Harlan Ellison's classic Sci Fi Danse Macabre story of the same name. Harlan himself provides his voice to the character of AM, an artificial intelligence which has been torturing the protagonists for thousands of years. It's $1.49 on Steam right now, so take advantage of it while you can!

yessssssss
i've had this for months and it's truly worth playing
bleak outlook yet the bleakness of the character's situations make for some interesting dialogue and puzzles

Shovel Knight is 33% off, despite the devs saying it wouldn't go on sale. They lied to me us. D:

:O I want Shovel Knight!!!! Where to money!?

lolol.

It's $10 on the front page. It's part of the 48-hour deals at the top; you can't miss it. :3

I may have already bought it, but this god forsaken essay is preventing me from playing it. D:

Guys, please, please, PLEASE vote Audiosurf 2 for the Community Choice. I know Invisible Inc look's appetizing and all, but Audiosurf 2 has been priority for me for a while and rarely goes too far down in price. I imagine this'll be the most we'll get out of it if it's voted.

Please ;_;

SHADOW OF MORDOR. WHY?! WHY YOU $30 AND NOT $20?!

That's what I want to pay for it. :D Looks like I'll be waiting for a few more months. No biggie.

I really would go G2A if I was you. It's gone down to $12 and $15 a number of times lately. Now it's at $19 and probably won't go much higher than that for a while.

I'll go for it with a prepaid Visa soon. :) I just have to get to the bank, but maybe I'll get lucky and it'll drop to $12 again. ;D

It totally depends on the majority of Steam and since people voted for a €1 game once over others which were more expensive I have little hope, but the game has my vote

HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THINGS SACRED AOE II HD 80% OFF

Even though I am not a huge fan of buying a game that exists just cause the old servers died and getting this to work with 3rd party nonsense is awful, I got it cause multiplayer is pretty fun. Plus the game can look much better thanks to the Steam Workshop. If you plan on getting it get it with the expansion since it only costs 60 cents more.

Age of Empires is a huuuge nostalgia trip. I only got to play it at school so I never got good.

I'm bummed I missed the CS:GO flash sale. Definitely would've picked it up.

Shadowgate is on sale. Get it.

Gunpoint is on sale. GET IT!

STANLEY PARABLE IS ON SALE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET THAT GAME!

Oh yeah, and Battleblock Theater and Mercenary Kings are good, too. Get 'em.

You beat me to it. D:

Shadowgate was part of my childhood, and I love what they've done with it. Highly recommend. <3

And I am so grabbing The Stanley Parable.

Okay, I have to say...Stanley Parable is hilarious. I'm stuck at a certain point right now, but needed a break anyway. So funny and smart. Love the

references. It had me cracking up.

I'm looking at Lethal League and Child of Light, myself. Problem is, I don't really feel good about buying them right now. Child of Light, which I partially feel like I will find cheaper not too far in the future, requires Uplay, which is the main deterrent for me to buy any Ubisoft game for the PC (which, in turn, becomes a deterrent for me to buy them at all). I was recently considering buying Assassin's Creed IV for $10 since the last AC game I bought was II (and that was the only one), so despite it being a mostly annual game, I don't really spend too much money on the franchise. That said...Uplay. And I don't really play my Xbone enough to want to buy it for that (albeit for the same price). Not to mention all that Child of Light DLC...

And Lethal League...I dunno. I want it, but I get the feeling it'll be in a bundle soon enough. I'd be glad to support the devs, of course, but I'm not currently in a setting where I'll be doing any local multiplayer (and I'm not sure how the game handles singleplayer).

Another gift from a PC member, my best bud Morkula just gifted me Shadow of Mordor, something I've wanted to play for a long time now. I am so humbled by all of you and your generosity this Christmas. It's really special, so thank you.

Same. I keep considering Child of Light, myself. I even tried to convince myself it might be worth it - just try to ignore Uplay. The reviews say Uplay has gotten better. They say to just run Uplay in offline mode. That can't be so bad, right?

And then posts like this pop up in my activity feed and bring me back to earth:

Spoiler:

And Hatoful Boyfriend is in the community vote - only 50% off? Steam, it was $2 on GMG the other day. You can do better than that, Steam.

Oh man, that's fabulous! Hat's off to Morkula for that.

And look'it that, just in time for a Playfire special and everything. :P
