Style categories!

I don't think it makes a lot of sense to have categories for colours and also for the general style of... style.

How exactly does this work? If there's sort of a "search for something I like" kind of thing going on, you could check off, say, "fixed-width" and "blue" and you'd come up with all the things in those categories, which makes me wonder if tags might be a better solution that outright categories.

'Cause otherwise I think it'd make more sense to have top-level categories (either the colours or whether it's fixed/fluid, etc.

And then maybe content, as well? Like anime-themed, pokemon-themed (or gen1-themed), manga-themed, etc.

Add tags, people will want to seach for "Green" andfind a number of skins that relate to that. Therefore we should have tags. Great idea though, I think it'll be useful indeed.

I have to agree with Gavin on this one (wow it's been a while since I've said that), providing it's possible.

Of course, it would be simpler just to have 'Good styles' and 'Bad styles' as the categories! ;)

What exactly qualifies a style to be considered "Special" (or is that just the name given to the most image laden styles?)

Also it might be nice to have a category that lists styles by the game generation of the featured Pokémon for the style.

I'm also thinking it could be useful if we could make our own category specifically for the user. Something like a "Favourites" one. That way we wouldn't have to go searching for a particular style or two if the ones we like most are all put into one place.

Something like Generation Inverse as well as New Directions - which feature more than one design that can be changed per style.

I have to agree with the tags idea, as well as sorting them by game generation. A search page for selecting a theme with preview shots would be even better but I'm not sure if the board has that capability.

How about "customizable" instead of "special" for those kinds of themes.

I'm also really digging the idea of individual favourites that everyone can set, if possible. :D

*Agrees with all of the above*

Also, umm...in the current style selector there are a couple which don't actually exist, closer to the bottom (and others that just don't have thumbnails).

Haha, I just noticed it says "Add Rep" for post comments on Infernal Smash :P

Audy's planning on re-screenshotting all the thumbnails (and all at the bottom do exist, but not everyone can access them). For example, Chir(a)amii and Chompin (I think are only for staff access). So he'll probably only show the ones the usergroup viewing the selecter can access (if that's possible).

And favourites...sooo many to choose from, for some people. XD

Where did the link go? D:

Most likely the forum style you were using updated the header or footer with its own set of customisations - meaning the style selector, which only works with footers/headers that are customised by parent (meaning PC's master style), was lost as a result.

However, it still appears in the style I'm using (Pokelink 2.0).
Try changing skins and you might see it again on another one.

Here's a link anyway: https://www.pokecommunity.com/misc.php?do=style :)
