Suggestion: themed VIP Forum

    This place is ours (the supporters) to use as we like, and it's also a somewhat private and cozy room in the big forums. To make it cozier and more unique, do you guys think we could try and feature different visual themes in this forum now and then?

    I'm not talking PC skins/styles (that would probably mostly be annoying), but rather changing the splash, the DCC and even the forum's name mayhaps quarterly. We could hold voting polls for themes and forum names (either separately or together).

    It might not affect activity much or anything, but it might be fun. Thoughts? Too bothersome? Better ideas for the visual atmosphere of the place?
     
    Naw, I think it's a great idea. Come up with a theme, maybe start a supports collab to go with it or something. Anything to make it feel more personalized would be worth a try. I mean, this is the year we try new stuff like with forum frontier, yeah?

    So as a first theme... We could call it VIP Castle and have a fantasy splash? Or VIP Forest and be all autumny. I'm not sure what to suggest haha. But something seasonal might be fun.
     
    I really like this idea! This place is pretty empty and dull a lot of the time, it'll be nice to change the theme once in a while ^_^ As for Rika's suggestions, I think the VIP Forest would be pretty cute.

    This is a great idea! Something spooky for October (or maybe just Halloween) would be good. VIP Forest could fall into that category having a sort of spooky spin on it?

    Hmm maybe that would depend on how often the people who have to press button to change stuff are prepared to do it o: if we could dress up differently every month or so, we could be more fair I imagine. If that would be bothersome (either for supporters who don't like our experiment or for hstaff with buttons) then maybe quarterly could be more ok o:

    I could try to pull an admin or such here to give us a pointer about what's ok, haha.
     
    Happy to accomodate any splash tweaks although if you ask me to code them myself you're in for a mess
     
    Sounds good! Sometimes a little change can be as refreshing as a holiday! I'd vote for Pokémon images/text to be worked into the theme though!
     
    Hmm. Maybe a PC artist can make a nice pokemony autumn (or spring) banner image?

    I believe Sylphiel is working on getting the forum name changed now~

    I'm thinking that maybe around Christmas when the rest of the forums are going all holiday spirit, we can be VIP Paradise and have a beach theme hehe.
