Which do you think is better Sunshine or Galaxy? And tell us why.

I think Sunshine is better! Galaxy wasn't really fun, and galaxy was way too easy. And on galaxy you just hop around on planets. Well, and I LOVE games with a beach feel to it and Sunshine has a beach feel. And in Sunshine you really got to know the people in each stage. But in Galaxy, you just have random Lumas!

So post your opinion. And don't forget to do the poll!

I haven't played Sunshine so I voted for Galaxy.

Have to buy Sunshine to my Wii as I just buy other things first, I have GameCube controller but I don't have Memory Card so have to buy it first (or maybe I should wish it for Christmas).

Waiting for Galaxy 2 as it has Yoshi and much more things to do. Galaxy was short even with playing with Luigi and collecting every 121 stars. Galaxy still was very good game. It also has few funny Easter Eggs (Pokéball and Olimar's spaceship).

Okay I see your point but in Sunshine you can have yoshi but in galaxy 2 you can have yoshi. I wonder why they didn't just put it in galaxy 1...

Neither, because 64 PWNS them both without even trying. But so this won't seem spammish, off-topic and overall a worthless post, Sunshine. It had a feel that Galaxy wasn't able to duplicate in any way. That, and I love that jet pack, so much win.

I like Galaxy more than Sunshine. As a game, it is better. But both are lousy Mario titles. The best parts of both are the athletic platforming stage (so, when you're FLUDDless in Sunshine). Best part in the original SM64 for me are the Bowser stage because those are traditional platforming stages.

Mario 64 at least feels like a Mario title. The other two do not.

I like Sunshine as the best 3-D mario game. And the jetpack is called a FLUDD. (Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device)... >_>

Again, stay on the topic of Sunshine and Galaxy. Also everyone always hates the FLUDD, it bugs me but I kinda see your point. I like 64 over galaxy, galaxy is my least favorite 3-D mario game. And don't forgot to don't forget to the poll!

Galaxy. The water-spraying gimmick got old and repetitive pretty quick; at least Galaxy had a bit of diversity, though to me it seemed like every stage had a near duplicate somewhere else in the game.

I own Sunshine, and I have played Galaxy some. I say, they were both rather gimmicky, with some more traditional parts. Even the gimmicks were well-implemented, though. I like both, but there's a special place in my heart for Sunshine.

    Super Mario Sunshine for me.

Though it was the level from hell, SMG had a level where you collected not one, but two stars on a tiled model of the original, 8-bit Mario and Luigi. That was creativity win on so many levels. (Then again, most of Toy Time Galaxy was pretty awesome)

I loved a lot of the puzzles in Galaxy. To me, it felt like more of a Mario game, whereas Sunshine, because it didn't look like it, wasn't a game I bothered with.

Though, as has been said, 64 beats them both, easily.

Mario Sunshine was a load of fun. Never played Galaxy but I liked the new girl from it.

    Super Mario 64, nuff said.

    Anyway sweeties, I prefer Galaxy over Sunshine. They are both great games, but Galaxy had a better atmosphere to it. In Sunshine, Bowser was pretty much comic relief, compared to his Super Mario 64 counterpart. While in Galaxy, Bowser pretty much handled his business, like a boss. He used his Dark Magic (which was mentioned in the Super Mario Bros instruction booklet....yeah, I'm a nerd.) a lot more here. He pretty much sent Mario through space, and hijacked the freaking castle! (Not including that time in Paper Mario). The beach setting in Sunshine was great, but Galaxy had more variety with the environments. I also enjoy that Luigi is also playable in Galaxy. ^^;
I do have a few gripes with Galaxy such as the fights with Bowser were incredibly easy, the game istself is easier than Sunshine, and Yoshi was no longer in the game...for now.

But yeah sweeties, I prefer Galaxy.

I'd have to say Galaxy, it was fun, difficult to complete (see Luigi part of the Toy Stage), and you can play as Luigi! That trumps both 64 & Sunshine to me..although I didn't care for Sunshine because of that stupid FLUUD. It would have made a good sequel for 64 had they just kept and improved on the gameplay style of SM64.

Sunshine, because it was really hard. Even if the storyline was stupid (not like Galaxy is the most awesome thing ever). Plus, Sunshine had a bigger variety of missions than Galaxy, and more movements than just the spin jump (and Yoshi!)

I feel both can be improved, but I still prefer Sunshine due to the gameplay. I hope SMG2 looks more similar to Sunshine in that way.

Mario 64 was best. I probably had at least as much fun with Galaxies, but I stopped playing it. Sunshine I have gotten 100% completion on. Twice. I have to give it to Sunshine for keeping my attention that long, though the blue coins were a nightmare.

Lame Yoshi. I don't like how Yoshi looks now a days, and he couldn't swim. In a game with lots of water, he couldn't swim. WTF?
