Survey!

If I know I'm going to be getting a game on release day, I go ahead and pre-order. It secures my copy and that way I don't have to worry about the store not having enough copies of the game to go around. I've run into this before so even if the stores doesn't offer any freebies, I'll still try to pre-order.
 
95% of the time I'll preorder a game I want. It doesn't matter if the game is going to be a big hit, or just one of them small games. I like to preorder so I know I'll have a copy when I go to that store. There has been times where I preordered and the only copies they had left were that of people who haven't picked up their copy yet.
 
I pre-order a game if i know its gonna sell out like hotcakes or if its a series or a enjoy playing, I just do to ensure I have a copy, and it forces me to make sure I don't spend all my money.
 
I preorder a game if it's a game i'm really looking forward to. Sometimes I preorder just because I can.

Latest games I preordered were MW2, L4D2, and Bioshock 2.
Waiting a while to preorder Fallout: New Vegas. GOTY for sure.
 
I don't really pre-order games anymore, I didn't even pre-order my HeartGold. I don't know why I don't, its not my thing xP
 
I don't preorder games.

Usually stores stock up enough for everyone.

I only pre-order if I am really excited to get the game like with the new Pokemon games, otherwise never. The last time I pre-ordered a game except for Soul Silver is when Sims 2 came out for the Playstation 2. :/
