Ya know...it's kinda rude to post about Golden Sun 2, in a Thread about Tales of Symphonia, just because there are a lot of posts here, and a lot of people viewing it. You'd get more answers if you make your own thread, so everyone can see your question.

Judging by how fast you've been progressing, it should only take you about 1 more week or so to beat disk 2. Disk 2 is really easy, and moves pretty fast. I'm at the final boss, but I'm just running around collecting GRADE and getting costumes and weapons and such.

do u kno of a faster way to get GRADE and in which area to get the most grade.

ah crud! i sold celsius tear to some dude in flanoir, wonder if i was supposed to do that.
 
Ummmm.....no? How DO you get a second tear anyway? I thought there was only one... (maybe you get it back from the guy?) Yeah, you needed the tear to progress through the story.

btw, I'm at the temple of Darkness and I'm running into a problem: I seem to be unable to fight battles in dungeons from the Earth temple and any dungeon earlier. I'm not sure but is that supposed to happen? I'm in the 50's in terms of level (I was collecting gald at the time in the Earth temple, then I left to heal and came back not being able to fight any of them). Strange...

Also, I'm broke in the game (like 200 gald). :P It's for Luin. All for Luin's expansion (i'll post the costs for Luin later).
 
Ya know what is sad? I'm probably going to be spending my entire vacation in Canada (in the middle of nowhere..) playing ToS just to get a ton of GRADE built up for when I beat the game...I want a lot of Grade so I can carry over a lot of my stuff and have fun the second time through. ^^

It is kinda boring not wanting to beat the game, but I'm collecting 20000 Gald a battle from that Dragon in the Earth Temple untill I have enough for Luin's Rebuilding. Then I will go on a costume hunt, and try to get all the costumes I can! (Colette looks so cute in the beach outfit. ^^) It's sad that I have a soft spot for Colette and I never even use her in battle..I should use her instead of Sheena...Raine is almost a must for her healing...Kratos is too cool to get out..and Lloyd is pretty much standard, because he's the main character and all..even though I could switch him out for someone. Right now I have. Lloyd - Kratos - Genis or Sheena - Raine and it works pretty good..except Sheena always dies against bosses. I'm not sure who can take my third slot that will work well.

Anyhow, let the hunt for GRADE and Gald commence! ^^

well, maybe the tear is only needed for the ice temple? >_>; HOPEFULLY! good thing i saved it before i sold it...i knew something like this would happen. but that means i have to go through the freakin remote island human ranch again. =-=; it puzzled my brain about those puzzles and teleport pads. sigh. *cries*

ohhh yea, i shud go battle that dragon in the earth temple. i ran away last time i met it.

Well, I must say that I'm really impresses with this game! The gameplay is it's shining glory, though the story (however cliched sources may say the story is) is very good as well. The only thing that really hurts is the amount of cursing. It's kind of sad, that the character I'm the most like, Lloyd, curses more then all the other characters combined. Ah well, it's easy to overlook that feature though.

Oh, and I doubt anyone gave it much notice, but Colette uses the word, "hehe" a lot in the game.
That's my trademark!
.... I have a growing suspicion Namco is watching me, hehe.

Anyway, do you guys know when you can start collecting costumes?

I'm still keeping my eyes peeled, hehe.

She's one of my favorite characters!
One of the reasons being she reminds me of a really nice friend I have.
It's kind of neat how I could picture both of us in the game. Her as Colette and me as Lloyd.

...and, actually, I can relate practically every member of the party to a friend of mine. It makes all the skits and such interesting, hehe.

Hey, by the way, what are some of your favorite skits?
...if you can remember them, that is.
 
anything with zelos and his comments in it are funny. :) and colette's weird/innocent coments to what people say.

about the part where colette asks where zelos sneaks out to from the sewers at night
also when zelos comments about sheena being an evil demonic banshee
also when colette has those red eyes and she kicks the dog in meltokio? i forgot where.

Zelos is a nice guy, but.... uh....
I don't go for that kind of humor, hehe.

Yeah, the dog part was sad in a way, but it was so alarming it made me laugh. I like the one where when they first enter the Earth temple, a group of them try to use Genis' weapon (was it his weapon? I forgot the name of it..) That was hilarious, hehe.

Hmm, there were more, but I can't think of them at the moment...

genis uses a kendama...and then someone uses it, lloyd(?) and it hits raine. ^_^; hehe, that was funny.

Yeah, Lloyd hit Raine with it, who then chased everyone off, hehe.

Oh! I also like the one in the Gaoracchia Forest, when Zelos tells Lloyd and Genis that the place was haunted. It was fun to watch them run, hehe.

Also, as for the ones where you actually pick a response, I like the one right out of Mizuho, where Sheena tells Lloyd that the only way for him to be able to make those kinds of magical cards was if he got married. The 'okay' answer reminded me of myself so much, hehe.
 
i remember that one, lloyd wanted to summon spirits and sheena told him da only way was to learn from the village, but first he had to become part of the village by marrying someone...

sheena: well, u gotta marry someone from mizuho to learn summoning arts
lloyd: that's easy to do!
sheena: wha-?!
lloyd: i'll just marry someone from ur village!
sheena: ohhh...

its funny cause sheena thinks lloyd is referring "it's easy" as to marrying her. :P lloyd's so funny.
 
I never liked Zelos...I just used him in my party because he had the same abilities and weapons as Kratos..and I like Kratos. It was fun because I got to do something that I won't spoil for people who take the route that I did and if you really wanna know go back and click on my spoiler thing in a later post, which was a lot of fun, because it was easy...X_X

Anyhow, off to earn more Gald so I can buy all the uber joke weapons at my now PRETTY AND EXPANDED Luin...^^...There are these awesome joke weapons like a Baseball bat for Kratos, fans for Lloyed, Tambourines for Collette, a broom for Raine. I thought they would be weak..but they are all better then what I have. ^^; It'll be fun to see Kratos beat things up with a baseball bat. >>
 
I just wanted to say Thanks to Shinobi for getting me into this game I'm liking it...Even though I don't have 10 HRS. A day to play the game like some people *hint hint SS* I'm in ==SYLVARANT BASE== right now. I play the game for like 2-3 hrs. But I don't want to sound like I'm preaching I'm not but I also like to talk to my friends on AIM/MSN and make Fake Pok?mon cards. So that's why I'm not as far as Shinobi...But I love the game and since Shinobi is going to be on vacation for a week...I guess I'll be playing more and maybe beat the game ^^; *yeah right me beat a game before SS* heh. Well if anyone can give me advice or just want to chat IM me or PM me. That's the best way to reach me. I'm kinda lazy and don't read post all the time.

btw, it's recommended that you get to stage 11 to the least afer you've made it to the earth temple. The new weapons all cost 40000, but are at least 200ATK points more than any weapon gotten at that point in the game, not to mention it's the strongest you can get that you can buy to begin with. lol

I haven?t played for a few days, and I?m just getting to the forest where the black skull shows up again. Think I can beat him at this stage? I beat him last time as soon as I got to the mines, but?
