I suppose it is around that time...

With the Sun and Moon games coming right around the corner, Good ol' TPCi has decided to delay the TCG version into the new year for competitive reasons. So what do we do instead? I know! Let's appeal to the old fans who got back in due to Pokémon Go by just re-releasing Base Set with XY mechanics! Enter: the twelfth set in the sixth generation and the fifth in the BREAK block, XY-Evolutions.

The new set comes out on 1st November, and I intend to give my honest and completely biased opinion of the set. I'll discuss the cards as they exist, including their design and gameplay aspects. This won't be nearly as in-depth as my Deck Reviews, and will be a more humorous article rather than a super-serious one (not that anything I write is super serious).

same, I feel like it's good to get more perspectives on tcg because it's such an important part of the franchise as a whole (after all, there's tcg competitions yearly in addition to video game ones) but I feel like people don't know too much about it.

They do, just not on this forum :P Competitive TCG events are usually bigger (and more numerous) than their VGC counterparts in my experience. Anyway, I'll start this once we get prerelease scans i.e. next week.

This article has a hard deadline of 1st November, so I will need editors to cooperate to get it up by then

I'm going to a pre-release for this set on Sat, want me to get any scans/Photos of any cards? I haven't seen many Eng. scans yet.

Any preference on DPI for the scans? I just realized I'm free this weekend and will try to attend one myself.

I don't even care. I was just planning on using the PokeBeach/Serebii scans for the article itself and replacing them with official TPCi card art if/when those come out. Anything that looks cool or viable is a start :P
