On the topic of health and fitness - Think I meyt give a new Indian takeaway a go tonight. Found out my local chippy uses beef (or pork, I forget) drippings in their chips so I can't go there anymore.

I'm already a bit drunk so I probably shouldn't cook.
 
I can't walk in nature because there is an alarm in the city for excess pollution, half the cars were banned today.

I hope they ban them all from the city centre tbh, so I can actually walk to work.

I believe you're one of the cities that are going to be banning Diesel cars soon too. Would be nice to see London follow suit but it's not happening with the planet raping Tories in power.

334058. Meanwhile, diesel cars are just not a thing here in the States because of this historical American obsession with "cleanliness" and also lock downs on emissions in recent decades.

Fair warning: that league is a snooze fest in terms of banter. It's a league where people sign on, do their team stuff, then sign off. Everyone in the league regularly checks their teams.

That describes most leagues nowadays. Painful DV in that team, couple of real wastes. At least it has a good few econs in the bank.

Watching Dam Busters on tv, surprised they haven't censored it. Unless it's in a Tarentino film people white people with beards and glasses don't like that word.
 
I feel slightly sheepish here because I drive a diesel car, though it's been branded a highly "eco-friendly" diesel at the time and only seems to trigger it's eco mode when I have my foot on the brake pedal.

Also got back into the swing of the gym today. My shoulders, triceps and biceps are going to ache for a day or so most likely.

If diesel is translated as the word I think it is in Portuguese, well, it's fairly common here then. Cheaper (cheaper? More like "less expensive" lol) than the usual gasoline.

In the UK diesel costs more than petrol, but supposedly lasts longer than the latter.

I've driven petrol and diesel cars and I think for the mileage that I do I'd prefer a diesel.

The problem is that, while gasoline expels more CO2, diesel more than makes up for it with far larger emissions of NOx, which, while not a greenhouse gas, it's toxic for people who breathe it, so... hardly a "better" option.

In a collective the gases are abysmal. The high street where I live is often pressured by congestion that it repels people from wanting to visit, let alone even walk to neighbouring parks.

My car has BlueHDI technology installed, which is considered effective in reducing emissions excreted from diesel engines, and particularly for nitrogen oxides.

A demographic here like to cling stubbornly to their old 1997-plate diesel cars that really curve up the pollution in the atmosphere.

334065. From a fuel efficiency and power standpoint, diesels are amazing. It's the fuel of choice for trains, semi-trailer trucks, and corporate emergency generators here in the US because it does burn more slowly. The engines last so much longer, too.

Like most Americans, my car runs off of gasoline/petroleum, though.

I got my license but haven't felt the need to get a car. I live within walking distance of everything important in my city and we have decent enough public transport for when I'm feeling lazy.

If I got a car I'd probably have to quit drinking and I wouldn't be able to go to football matches as often. Not worth it.
 
I passed my test and got my licence 8 years ago, since then I don't think I could ever go without a car.

On an unrelated note, I feel like going for a walk in nature later.
