6th Gen Team Flare Discussion and Speculation

For me at least, Team Flare seems too close to Team Magma. What could Flare's goal possibly be? Make the world warmer? If Gamefreak really went with some kind of Eco-terrorism motif, that would incredibly relevant and cool for a Pokemon game. All we know so far is that they want to make money, and want a 'beautiful' world. So I think it's a recycled goal of Team Magma/Team Aqua, (A beautiful world according to some twisted ideology) with some tweaks.

(who, coincidentally, are a French electronic music duo :P :)). I mean, they do make 'beautiful' music, after all!

In my opinion, they resemble Thomas Bangalter's helmet a little more, but maybe an unrevealed Team Flare will bear the Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo design at some point...?

As for a 'beautiful world', I'm hoping that Team Flare delves into different concepts of beauty (physical, natural, musical, mathematical, etc.) for some of their motifs...

You know...it'll be interesting if Team Flare's upper bosses had shinies...with perfect IV's and Ev's in the stats they're best at...

Well...Team Magma and Aqua's goals were executed with Eco-Terrorism...so the Eco-Terrorist thing has already been done...however an eco-terrorist arsonist would be interesting to see...

Team Flare gives me Team Cipher vibes and I am loving the scientists! They are absolutely flawless and I want them, especially Byrony and Marble!
 
Those Team Flare girls remind me a lot about Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter of Team Galactic. I still like them, though! Their outfits are awesome-looking. I wish I had one of those so that I could wear it whenever I visited some sort of a convention, haha. (: Also, is that dude the leader of Team Flare, or is he just a scientist? If he's a scientist, then I wonder how the boss would actually look like.
 
The scientists are just fabulous, I adore them. There's something so intrinsically French about them too, especially the green one. Honestly I'm going to have a hard time beating them, I kind of want them to succeed at this stage.

(really glad to see a feminine evil team too, men are so passé)

As far as we've been told he's a scientist just like the four girls. Some of us earlier were speculating the leader maybe the lady in the screenshot where you and your opposite sex rival encounter some of the female scientists.

I really hope that guy is the boss he has too much 'SWAG' not to be. I would honestly feel bad to see him anywhere other than at the top of Team Flare. Also, if he's not the boss, my mind is incapable of registering how badass the boss will look like...
 
Not gonna lie those ladies are looking very stylish with them visors. I wonder if those visor have some type of purpose or are they just for show. Xerosic's design is actually intimidating, he only wearing one glove says that he is willing to get his hands dirty (atleast that's what it appears to me). My favorite design would have to be Mable, but I'm kinda bias on that since blue is one of my favorite colors.

To me he seems more like a random guy the women decided would be the top subordinate (assistant to the scientists?) than anything else. He'd make a somewhat disappointing boss to me - some very impressive-looking women led by a physically unimpressive man (white skin or not) would be something of a let down.

I think that Xerosic will be the second in command aka the Dragon to the boss whom I'm thinking may be the woman in the screenshot with the girls during the encounter with them and the opposite sex rival...that woman's sprite looks pretty boss to me too...

Most leaders are unatractive people . He swagged out he's the boss . He too pimp not to be
 
Maybe Team Flare is part of Team Rocket, but left and became a new team? It seems that these people and Team Rocket both made a Mewtwo. Blaine was one of the lead Scientists for Team Rocket and he uses Fire type pokemon. Maybe Flare disagreed with Team Rocket and left for another region after the Mewtwo incident and killed a few scientists.

They also remind me of Blaine a little bit, but not much.

I would love to see a woman being the leader. Maybe not showing up till the end if they plan to do sequels.
 
The team Rocket creating Mewtwo however isn't officially canon in the games...also the Team Flare creating Mewtwo is just a rumor thus far.

The evil team being connected to Kanto plus the Kanto starters will make the games feel like they're being Hijacked by Kanto...just realized this is the first region to share the first letter with another...interestingly it's with Kanto...
 
They sure do. That was one of the first thought that came to me.

I'm glad female villains are playing a part this generation. I enjoyed Mars and the Aqua admin (Sherly irc) as well as the female rocket executive...sadly Plasma's females didn't battle...or did much but give backstory...
 
What I like about Xerosic is that he look like a guy that in order to complete his goals he will hurt and sacrifice abything and anyone that is needed to.
I sure hope he will, it will make him very interesting and will create a chance for some twist in the game(Like when the boss won't be able to stop us he will take him/her down and will take control on team flare, that would be cool).
 
The official site said something about Team Flare's members not looking only after themselves...so I imagine it'll be a tight group...
Also if the leader ends up being a women and Xerosic takes over it'll be full of unfortunate implications...such as "a woman can't lead only man can" or something along those lines...so I hope he doesn't do that...let the leader have her moment...if it is a she.
