4th Gen Team Rocket speculation

Seeing one Rocket Grunt is pretty lame, I agree.

Though, besides that, Team Rocket is also a more realistic kind of team, as today, people don't really look to take over the world as many view it to be. They actually are just trying to get money and get rich with evil, bad-guy schemes. So, it makes it a lot better to me seeing as it isn't something so unrelaistic, but something that people today might even do.

Well, the escapism isn't a bad thing, actually, as I prefer cult girls in short skirts to compensate for my boring life. Heh. However, yes, The Rockets do have the most realistic structure of the game Big Bads, as we've been saying. Although, it's interesting how their sanity is becoming stressed, which is good.

Celebi was mentioned, which would be a nice nod to the 4th movie. However, I have two separate Rocket goals for Lugia and Ho-Oh, in terms of them. Lugia would be a good vanguard as a weapon, as it screams destruction. Conversely, Ho-Oh has regeneration powers, so what if Team Rocket captured it and tapped into the power, so they can sell it. Selling immortality can make you rich and fast. Plus, people would be addicted and you would have a never ending supply of money. The Rockets are the most scientific based of the Big Bad orgs, so they could do it.

Of course, we can't reference drugs, so. Shifty eyes.

Meanwhile, if you don't want destruction of the earth, via Lugia, Kou, Tei and Cune would make excellent enforcers. So, make it all Ho-Oh centric.

It would be kind of cool to see Team Rocket go after the three Legendary Beasts actually after the Johto storyline ends. It can still stick to their overstressed idea of gaining money and becoming the well knon big bag thugs that other should be afraid of.

Though, oh dear, Team Rocket out for drugs, (lol), I think we better shift directions on that for real. xD

Probably will be the same. (Gasp, watch out Heart! Kris is angry! D : )

Spaking about Heart, I wonder if she'll play any part in with Team Rocket. Somewhat like how Dawn/Lucas did with Team Galactic back in DPPt.

Exactly, as the Lugia and the Beast trio can play on sheer force, whereas, Ho-Oh can be twisted for money. As for Ho-Oh, how is it different than them selling Slowpoke tails? So, on that end, you could be creative on the energy, since humans in the anime ingest the Berries all the time. Make a energy booster, or something, and use it that way.

(For the record, if anyone wants to play on my idea for fic, you certainly can. Although, I would like it if I were credited for the idea. Hee.)

As for the Beast trio, well, the Rockets did have their number on the Legendary Birds (Special, Stadium, the TCG), so it makes sense to obtain the Johto counterparts.

Okay, yeah, it's a bit much. Let's shift to Gen 4 Pokemon they could own. I see Drapion, very easily.

Edit: Okay, someone mentioned on Heart and the potential of a tag team match. So, let's have dual topics! Heh.

If Team Rocket went after Ho-Oh and/or Lugia for the money, then they better have the best of team leader to go under charge for that. O_o

I can definitely see Team Rocket with perhaps a Croagunk and Drapion too. It seems something that fits for them. There are actually a lto of possibilities for them to own.

Lugia would be the handy engine of destruction, so. But as they say, 'you go after big game, you take it down with your best shot.'

Well, the game producers are getting better at acknowledging the anime, so I could see a Carnivine in the mix or a Yanmega. After Butler and Diane's cameo in D/P and there was a Trainer in Coloss with James' Pokemon at the time (the cactus and the wind chime), it's not so crazy to now consider it.

As for the rest of the media (Special, the Stadiums), I dunno. But, we can hope.

We can only hope, and hope some more.

I actually can picture Carnivine, along with a Seviper as well. If they give Jesse and James a double battle appearance like how Jesse had appeared, then they could involve some of their current anime Pokémon just for a cool side addition to it.

Right, right.

I also thinking of Dustox. Jessie aside, I think it would have been logical if the Rockets had it (Poison type, and they can do Bugs, thanks to Venonat in G/S/C). After all, Galactic has both branch Evos, so I can't see it being embargoed on the Rockets, anymore.

I would really like it if people would stop putting forth that theory of Silver being Giovanni's son like it was fact.

I really liked the Team Rocket plot in G/S/C. Can't wait to play it again.
When will they ever win one, eh?
:D I like their outfits too.

I'd like them mostly to stay the same however I'd like the executives to be more of a challenge. The ones they had in G/S were pathetic =/

Right, right.

I do see them wirh the poison/bug types too. Venonat, would be a good addition. Also, maybe Pokémon like Koffing, Weezing, Ekans, Arbok, all the old Gen I Pokémon and Gen II Pokémon would make a great return with Team Rocket for their rosters.

I also, like to think that they would get stronger too.

I would love Team Rocket to fall back to Kanto and have a larger part of the story there.

I see them returning if they are going to make another attempt, after their last fall down in Kanto three years ago.

The problem I have with Team Rocket is that their power is downsized in the GSC games from the anime. RBY had an excuse, since these games were what Team Rocket in the anime were based upon. However, GSC should of had the better plot for Team Rocket. If in the anime they can go after legends, they should be able to do so in GSC. Dark Lugia could play a part in HeartGold and there could be a separate plot in SoulSilver. To me, separate plots in these games would make them even more perfect.

However, I do not know how extensive the other character's role will be in these games. If you remember, it was Lance who helped you the most and your rival who battled you continuously. I really don't see a role in which the other gender counterpart could fill.

Team Rocket could have sure gotten a lot of money if they attempted to capture and sell Lugia and Ho-Oh, except the story would change for the remake, and I'm not really looking for that to happen. Not unless, it occurs after the main storyline, then it'll be fine to go up against.

As for the seperate storylines for each game, I don't know how well that might work out.

Separate side stories, that is. We still do not have a story for capturing the other legendary (Ho-Oh on Silver and Lugia on Gold).

I think they made it like that for a reason. I mean all the games have been chasing after legendaries for the main theme. THough it would be smart for TR to do the same for better chances of getting more money, but I think the game creators just wanted something a little bit different than the rest of games.

flash summed up my contention of the Side Stories theme nicely, so I won't have to get involved on that. Heh.

Moving back to the previous topic, I can't see the Rockets without Arbok and Weezing, although, I can buy some Gen III equivalents, Gulpin, much? I know Rocket-owned Beedrill have been featured in manga (e.g., Special), so that's a pretty easy choice.

Oh, can't forget Vileplume in FR/LG, so maybe some fun Grass/Poison types, too. Not Rosenade, but it would be badass, wouldn't it?
