I then realized what I had to do, but I didn't know if I could do it. "Chaos, I shall make you a deal," I told her, trying to get him away form Saphira. "If you allow me to live I shall work for you. But I don't want to be a slave, I want to work from my own mind, my own body" I then use a technique I had learned long ago. I cleared my mind, and only brought thoughts into it I wanted him to see. To him and to me, I was a villian, I wanted Saphira dead. "Search my mind Chaos, I live to serve you."

"Jasper, no!!" She couldn't let that happen. Saphira couldn't be forced to fight Jasper. She couldn't see him as a villan. "You.... you can't...." She shuddered, feeling Chaos on her. Saphira stopped struggling, and lay limp, tears trailing down her cheeks. He can't.... He can't side with Chaos. This can't be happening.... It's not real.... She gave up all hope of escaping completely.

I watched her suffer, but showed no remorse, showed no sadness. From that moment on my mind wanted her to suffer. Until I let my thoughts wander to my memories, that's the way it would be. "Hahaha" I laughed and watched Saphira suffer. Truely I was suffering deep inside, but this wasn't in my mind, or Chaos would se through me, which right now he couldn't no one possibly could.

"We shall see." I said, somewhat mockingly. Snapping my fingers again, I said, "Show me where your loyalties lie. You now have a choice between two lives. Yours... Or hers." I said, displaying a bit of anger, snarling as I gestured to Saphira. I then added in the same, mockingly sweet tone, "If you don't decide in 30 seconds, both of you die. then, I will ressurect your corpses as my slaves."

"You can read my mind Chaos, you know where they lie," I told him, stepping towards Saphira. I then cracked my neck in both directions, and walked over to Saphira. I didn;t know exactly what I would do.I pulled saphira into a sitting position by grabbing inot her shirt collar. I knw it must have hurt, but I didn't care. "Who should die Saphira? The choice is yours" I told her rubbing her neck and sending a wave of heat through her body. "I'll kill you or die for you in an instant, I said truthfully. I was kneeiling in front of her.

"Me. Kill me." Saphira looked straight at Jasper. She couldn't live to see this anyways. She trembled, staring into his cold, unfeeling eyes. Saphira couldn't believe he was doing this... The heat burned her badly, mixing in with the sensations of having living darkness tighted around her, having her left shoulder torn to bits, and needles working their way into her skin. But nothing hurt more than the feeling of betrayal and sadness welling up inside her.

Saphira wanted to die. Now.

"Oh, I'm afraid it's not quite that simple." I said, laughing mockingly. I linked the two mentally and whispered, "One of you must absorb the life of the other. Be immersed in it... It's supposed to be a horrible death... And I can say from experience, it's ecstacy to absorb."

Saphira didn't even acknowledge Chaos. He was playing with their minds, trying to get one of them to crack. Sanity hung by a few thin threads for Saphira. She felt her mind come in contact with Jasper's. Releasing all she witheld, Saphira could feel her life force trickling away. She gave it to him willingly.

I felt her trying to release her life force into me. I pushed it away. "Not yet..." I said bluntly. "Chaos... why the rush?" I asked, standing up. "Let me play with her a little," I said, evil flowing from my mouth. I almost cracked as I coudn't believe what I was saying, but I didn't let this cross my mind, one sign of weakness and we were both dead.

Weakened, Saphira backed away from both of them. Jasper wasn't evil. She refused to believe this. Chaos must have been controlling his mind, or, or... No... It's not Jasper, it's not right. He would never betray the Titans, never betray me!! But the more she repeated this to herself, the less likely it seemed. Was Jasper really turning his back on them? Saphira's sapphire eyes seemed dull and lifeless. She lowered her head, shaking uncontrollably.

Hahaha I laughed as I watched her drop to the ground. I then once again kneeled down in fornt of her and watched her body twitch and shake. "What's wrong my dear? YOu can't accept that I would benfit much more working with Chaos than working with your ***?" I then kicked her lightly in the side. Hard enough to inflict pain, but not enough to do any serious damage.

This was worse than anything Chaos could do to her. She hated him. But she loved Jasper. Saphira whimpered quietly, not being able to answer. Of course it was worse. Of course it was painful. Of course she couldn't accept it. She clenched her side after Jasper had kicked her, but made no move to fight back. Saphira couldn't fight back. She wanted nothing less than death.

I then realized what I was doing to her, hesitation crossed my mind... I knew Chaos at that moment saw through me, but I no longer cared. I then went down to my knees, and began crying. I didn;t know what I was going to do. I had hurt Saphira. I was more sorry than anything. "Take my life Saphira... You have to live..." I then began to kiss her, maybe the last itme I would ever kiss her.

"Pathetic." I snapped, looking at the two. "Absolutely pathetic. Pah! You humans and your sentiment." I laughed again, prepared to rip them apart and torture each to death. It would be so much fun.

then, I felt something constrict about me, blocking off my power. I snarled, cursing. Only two people could do that. I heard one of them speak, calm, even. Alpha, by the voice, light and refined. He said, "That sentiment is what seperates us, them, from beasts like you, Chaos." Then a harsher voice, more judgemental. "What must be done with a beast, Chaos? It must be put down." Collars and manacles of light and dark twisted into bing around my neck and wrists, then flew to the wall, pinning me there. Out of their way, the twin brothers (and how could the two look more different!) moved to my prisoners to help them. Alpha, with his dark hair and eyes, lean and blade-thin, and hulking, light-heaired Omega. I could alter reality, they were the truth of reality, unchangeable.

Saphira suddenly backed away from Jasper, staring up at the two men who had suddenly appeared. The slightest movement sent agony searing through her, but she tried to ignore it. Everything was happening too fast. One moment Chaos had been torturing her, the next, he was pinned to the wall. Who were these people? Even though they had saved her from the worst villian to walk the earth, she refused to let her gaurd down. Still shaking, she charged up an attack, ready to use it if nessicary.

<OOC>Now writing from Alpha's POV.<OOC>

I bent down towards the girl who seemed worse off, saying with a kind smile, "do you need help, lovely." Not really implying anything, just an ages-old habit of speech. I continued, "I can heal you if you want. I probably should, you could well die without immediate treatment." Omega seemed impatient, he always was. Thwart Chaos and leave, never a concern for his victims. I added to my brother in a calm voice, "Peace, Omega. If we leave them to die, we lower ourselves to his level."

What the... Hearing his voice, Saphira became somewhat calmer. The stranger was right. She would die if she didn't get treated soon, but at this point, it didn't really matter to her. The cold air that surround her seemed to disolve, and she let the attack fade away. By now Saphira was near death. She couldn't speak, and was having trouble keeping her eyes open.

No!! Blackwolf growled, facing the two men. Saphira was so close to dying, so close to getting what she deserved, and here these two came, offereing her help!! The large wolf bounded toward his sister, rage blazing in his eyes.

I sat in fornt of Saphira, and as soon as I spotted Blckwolf taking a cheap shot at her, I shot him out of the sky. I sent a shard of metal, which I had formed into a sword-like shape, flying towards him. There was no way he could have avaoided it, he was done.

My hands glowed with silver flame as I passed them gently over the girl. Unlike modern medicine, I had no need to coax the muscle and tissue from inside, as my hands passed, they left unbroken skin, not even a scar disfiguring her body. So too did the internal physical damage dissapear under the flame. I smiled again as I finished. My brother, however, did nothing but growl, saying in an undertone, "The Author did not dream us into being as healers, brother of mine." I looked over at him with an intense, piercing gaze, replying, "Nor did he create us to refuse help to those who need it. Our purpose is to contain Chaos and fix the damage he has caused."

Blackwolf howled, then snapped at Jasper. With a glare at Alpha, Omega, Saphira and Jasper, he turned and ran, disappearing through a hole. A trail of dark, glossy pools of blood were left behind. An angry growl could be heard echoing through Chaos's lair, until it seemed to fade away, as though Blackwolf had never been there.

Saphira stood. She was completely heal, completely healthy. Physically, at least. But still, this was amazing. There wasn't any scars, scratches, cuts, any wounds at all. Not even the most advanced medical technology could compare to this. "I.... Thank you..." Was all Saphira could manage to say.
