New Topic:If there's any Psychic Type Pokemon you think should not be one, say it now.

do you think that starmie should have been a pure water type?
do you think that victini should be a pure fire pokemon?
do you think that koromori should have been a flying dark type or something?

to answer the last topic, i like Will best, he's cool, same goes for his Pokemon.
as for the current topic, i don't see how the slowpoke family is psychic, MAYBE slowking, but none of the other ones.

I'd say everything that's psychic by gamefreak is psychic, and let's leave it at that, although if you want to, you should listen to what the other members have to say first.
you can't just do something because it's my opinion, let the others decide first, we could start a debate on Slowpoke and his evos if you like.
 
Dustox is not more worthy of being a Psychic-type than Slowpoke. Slowpoke may seem useless as a Psychic-type, but it's not. And it very much looks like a Psychic-type.

Besides, if you're going to suggest Dustox, Butterfree is far more worthy than Dustox. And Butterfree still is nowhere near worthy enough to replace the Slowpoke line.

I vote Slowpoke and his family out, bulbapedia says slowpoke are incrediblly stupid, how is THAT psychic?
however, i think Slowbro could be a Psychic type, after looking on bulbapedia i found that slowbro have sharpened senses and the shellder on it's back forces it to be more powerfull.
Slowking should stay a psychic type pokemon in my opinion, because the shellder is attracted to the slowpoke's head and the slowpoke's king rock transfers the poison from the shellder to the slowpoke's brain, thus, making it extremely intelligent, and because of it's newfound smartness, it would probably be able to learn the ways of a psychic.

I do think it's rather foolish to vote out a Pokemon because it doesn't "seem" like a Psychic type. Gamefreak made it a Psychic type for a good reason. It just may not be evident because Slowpoke are mentally slow. I do recall that they have Psychic abilities in the anime. Way back in either the Johto or Orange Islands episodes.

to answer the one about tate and lisa or sabrina; i personally like sabrina than the other two, but then again, i never played any of the hoenn games.

which elite 4 member has the best pokemon: i think lucian he has the most balanced team.

dustox or slowpoke: i agree with the fact that gamefreak made them psychic for a reason and there is no need to change the type
 
IMO, you shouldn't remove any Pokemon, but you could add Psyduck and Golduck!

part of me agrees with you and part of me dosen't, i didn't say it should be because he dosen't seem like one, i said it was because he wasn't smart enough, i mean, how could a dumb person be a psychic, slowpoke's brain power isn't high enough to have psychic powers, on the other hand, slowking deserves to be a psychic because of it's increased intelligence.
ever heard the impression, "I can bend a spoon just with the power of my mind" now cut it: "with the power of my mind" hm, interesting, psychic is also reffered to as the power of the mind, if slowpoke is THAT stupid he wouldn't be able to "bend a spoon with the power of his mind", let alone be a psychic (psychic being a definition of supernatural mind power) type.
as for his psychic abilities in the anime, i think the anime and the games are two different canons, therefore, it dosen't matter if he had psychic abilities in the anime, thanks to the explenation above, he should not be a psychic type in the game.

um....i think you just got OWNED! from all corners of what you said! haha!

as for me i would say that deoxys(defence form)has the highest defence i dont know why but he realy has high defence!

Slowpoke couldn't survive if it didn't have psychic powers because of its slow reflexes, that's how I view it. A person's intelligence also has no bearing on whether or not they have psychic powers, even if they are considered powers of the mind.

The anime gets its ideas for abilities and attacks Pokemon can use directly from the games.

As for the highest defense, I am 99% certain that it is defense form Deoxys because, well, it was designed to be a defensive wall.

yeah i mean tecnacly deoxys defence form is supposed to be GREAT at defence cause why do you think hes called deoxys DEFENCE form!
 
Hey guys! Sorry that I haven't replied in awhile. As for defense, I don't think many Psychic types excel in that area but considering it's the defense form of Deoxys I guess that's the answer lol... I don't know much about Deoxys so I'm sort of just agreeing, though. ^^;

As for Slowpoke, I never really connected his intelligence to his Psychic powers... I know Psychic abilities are a mental process and all, but I don't think it has much to do with actual intelligence. I think it has more to do with a certian area of the brain being used that normally isn't used by non - psychic endowed creatures... maybe. o.o Not that I know for sure.

If psychics weren't smart they wouldn't be psychics at all.
take you, for instance, you are a perfect example of a slowpoke, ignorant.
i still stand by what i said, my mom had a friend who's cousin could control things with her mind (i'm serious) i mean look at it, psychic is just a definition of mind power, but if your mind isn't powerfull enough, you can't do it.
look at star wars, not EVERYBODY can use the force, but everyone has they're own midichlorians, wich are cells that fuel the force, only those who are trained AND smart enough can learn to weild the force.
same with slowpoke, he's one of those idiot stormtroopers and gardevoir is a jedi knight.
picture it that way, and as for the anime, they are STILL two different sides of the story because, if it wasn't then you'd meet ash in the games, traveling around with brock and misty, you don't see that do you? and you might see RED in the anime, we don't see that do we? do we? huh?
