What is the virus actually doing?

Any time I click a new tab opens up with different websites claiming my PC is infected (no shit, Sherklock, YOU'RE THE ON INFECTING IT!)
Or my Flash player is out of date, or something about Pluto TV

And I've tried several Malware programs and none work

Oh well, factory reset here I come~
