That horrible parrot from my childhood

I was looking through some old family photos today, and I crossed some of our more distant relatives and friends.

    And I just remembered.

    That parrot they had. Ugh.

It would squawk at me for a peanut, and being an easily delighted and naive little child I'd give it one every time. And every time, it would eat half of the peanut and chuck the other half to the floor, then glare at me.

Anyone else find that some animals really don't like them? Birds in general seem to take offense to me.

Only one animal comes to mind, and its one of my current ones.
Its a black and white cat named Cassie, she doesn't like me, and I can tell, when I try to pick her up, she kicks me in the chest and runs away D:
But other than that, I guess most animals like me.

When I was a kid, my aunt and uncle had a cat named Sophie that would never let me, or anyone else that wasn't her owners, near her. It was most likely because she was old and set-in-her-ways because when they got a second, much younger cat (named Clovis) when I was in my early teens, he was much friendlier and likeable. XD

Dogs for me. Whenever I get near one something in them goes off and they start barking at me loudly with no provocation. I've also been chased by some particularly poorly-trained dogs belonging to some of our less respectable branches of our family tree.

Just... so many negative experiences with dogs that I won't even train dog Pokemon.

Dogs HATE me. Every time I'm outside they just come JOLTING for the kill. And the bad part is I'm allergic. :(

My aunt's rabbit bit me for no reason when I was younger. All I was doing was petting it and then it omnomnommed my hand.

I dislike spiders, my friend had a tarantula and it always freaked me out. I was fine with his pit bull and python but spiders freak me out.

When I was really little, I had some bad luck with dogs for awhile. Some bit me on my chin once. Also, every time there was a dog off its leash, I'd get so frightened and run away. >_< I get along just fine with dogs now, though.

We also used to own two cats that would refuse to come out from their hiding spots. I don't know why they hated everyone so much. Shame, they were cool cats... from what I saw of them.

But, you did provoke them. You got near them. They are very territorial, thus they bark when you near; this is an attempt to frighten you off.

I get along with most animals. Especially cats. When my cat, who doesn't like people started to die, she spent most of her time with me. If I see a stray cat, it will come and run up to me. I also get along well with dogs.

I don't think horses like me very much :/. They scare me when they whinny, and the whinny when I get near. It must be the way I dress.. Ironically, I wish that I had lived with horses when I was younger, and what not, because I would love to be able to ride them. (I mean, without someone leading them on a rope at the equivalent pace of a fast turtle.)

I had this rabbit that hated me... it would run off all the time and whenever I tried to pick it up, it'd scratch me and try and get away from me. ;_; Also, I had a gerbil that (while it didn't happen to me) bit my mums finger so hard it was bleeding A LOT. :O Oh, and I got chased by a stray rottweiler. :\

No, not really a lot of animals like me:)

There is a bird that we found at the local lake. He is a Cockateil and we named him Jasper. Every time I walk into the room, he starts screeching so loud that I can barely take it. So I give him some food, and he hisses at me! When he starts eating it, whenever his head came up, he would start glaring and screeching! Our cat does not seem to like me either......

All cats hate me, but that was even before I started getting back at them. They hiss and scratch and bite me. Two or three years ago I started to bark like a dog and chase them off when they came near. Maybe in these cases violence is the answer.

Mostly dogs and birds don't like me. When I was a teenager I was walking home from school. There was a Golden Retriever towards the front yard of someone's house. Omg, that dog came to me and bit my side. Luckily it just bit my shorts. I was so scared! Then someone came by and try to take the dog away. It wasn't the owners! :< It was someone I knew from school. She was going home herself. She saved my life! Since then I stayed away from that area and walked around. Yeah it took me a little longer, but I didn't want to deal with that dumb dog again. ><

And my dad and stepmom got a African Grey Parrot named Boma. Omg, he will try to bite me when he get a chance. He doesn't like me very much. ._.

Ya know what Lucy that's quite odd 'cause most Golden Retriever's are nice and sweet ;;. Anyways, I haven't found any animals to dislike so far, I'm just very friendly and other animals tend to like me quite well, I haven't had any problems besides with my Nana's certain cat who dislikes visitors over, he'll give you a big hiss sound and basically back off after-wards, however he can one day just crack and might attack someone randomly, after all he's not very friendly(I hope he never does).

I had a little white dog called Tysie-boy (or Tyson) I used to dress him up and put him in a pram and drive him around in it... he used to be ok with it... then one day he had enough and would nip and bite me every time I'd come near him.... hahahaha I don't blame him.

I have a cat named Tabitha who's pretty tame, but recently she's taken to meowing every time I'm in the kitchen. I spoiled this beast rotten, so it was an inevitability.

For me, it's cats. Whenever I want to come pick one up, or pet one, it just runs away from me or scratches my finger.

im actually an animal magnet, probably since i find them cute and give any animal i encounter lots of attention. even my grumpy old cockatiel who hates everything and snaps at everyone has developed a fondness for me!
