OOC: Don't sweat, RM. We're all in the battle arena, pretty much anywho. It's just after lunch, kind of a break type deal. There's a few battles going on, one between Nat and Sean which looks to be pretty intense!!

OOC:how come whenever i'm offline everyone begins to post and when i'm online no one posts at all.

BIC:"Well i don't have time for this i'm going back outside and train."I walked out the door and walked into the forest."O Ralts why don't u come out and play i just want to battle u."Out of the shadows the Ralts came."So u came."Of course i did he said."Wahhh u can talk."Of course i can he said."Thats it go Shroomie."The Ralts jumped down."Alright Shroomie start off with your mach punch."He began to laugh, this is gonna be to easy he said with a grin on his face, then he used a counter."O no Shroomie."HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! your pathetic he said."How could Shroomie be out in one hit."My eyes grew big as i looked at Shroomie on the ground."SHROOMIE!!!!! darn u Ralts."I charged at the ralts."You'll pay for what u did."I tried to puch him but he threw me back."AHHHHHH!!!!"I always knew u were a waste of time he said."U can't leave i won't let u."He then tossed me back again and i hit the rock."*pant**pant* I won't give up u hurt Shroomie i can't let u leave."Shut up he said as he then rolled me down a hill."Ughhh i can't move."I then collapsed.

Torchic glared as he saw the thudnerpunch coming and in my surprise, as I was sure was everyone else's who was viewing the battle, Torchic let go of Ruby and jumped up into the air , avoiding the thunderpunch like he had done before. He then fluttered up and shot an ember point blank in the face before fluttering back some to a safer distance. As soon as he landed, he nearly buckled under his own weight. I could tell he was standing from sheer willpower alone. " Hang in there, Torchic!" I encouraged him.

Starlight rushed forwards, his gem on his head still glowing.
The smoochum reached out and bopped Starlight on the nose. Hard.
Growling, Stalight unleashed his Thunder wave directly at the smoochum's face.

ooc: DIE!! MUAHAHHA!

Getting Blaze to let go was the purpose of the tactic. Nat grinned, very satidfied with herself.

"Alright, we've got em where we want em!" Nat called to her bloody companion. "You've gotta finish this now, Ruby. Thunderbolt attack!"

A darkness spread over the whole field. Ruby's Thunderbolt was a last resort attack, and Nat knew she could only handle it once. The Raichu's attack plunged the arena into darkness, suddenly illuminated by a single, powerful bolt of lightning, striking at Torchic with deadly accuracy.

Torchic was too wounded to avoid anything, and was hit dead on with the attack. his cries of pain were horrrible to hear, and I almost couldn't watch. When the attack stopped, Torchic was standing precariously on his feet. He gave Ruby the most hateful glare I had ever seen before falling over unconcious. I pulled out his pokeball with a pained look on my face and recalled him in a red beam of light. I then sank to my knees as I cradled his ball, crying softly over the pain I had put him through and the negative results it had earned us.

I knew it! Miki thought as she gazed at Ruu. She mentally calculated the damge Ruu will get and tried to make a counter attack for it...but she couldn't.

"Ruu jump!" She cried. She knew that Ruu couldn't dodge Dratini's Thunderwave but the effect will be less.

Ruu nodded knowingly and jumped as high she can. The Dratini's attack did hit her, but she could still move, only slower than usual. Once she hit the ground, Ruu felt like her feet were super-glued to the ground, but she didn't care.

"Okay Ruu, use Lick!" Ruu nodded and she, as fast as she could, dashed towards the Dratini.

Miki tried to keep her focus on Ruu and the Dratini but she couldn't quite do it. She yawned. She was really tired, it was almost nightfall, after all.

I lyed there out cold.*Why do i keep losing to him i have to catch him.*

As the adrenalin of battle ebbed away inside her, Nat felt ashamed, as she always did after a battle. She felt aweful for putting Blaze, Sean, and Ruby through what she did.

She walked over to Ruby and quickly tended to her wounds. The teen-aged girl again looked quite small, frail, and helpless as she wrapped bandages around her bleeding partner and administered a Super Potion.

She walked to where Sean sat, cradling Ruby in her arms. It was difficult to do this, as she was very weak. Nat knelt beside him and took his hand gently, her own cupping around Blaze's pokeball as well.

"You're a great trainer, Sean. I was amazed the battle took that long. You can't feel bad for what happened. Good has come out of it. You and Blaze will grow stronger now, defeat always brings better results than victory."

"But I have to beat at least 7 trainer tomorrow jsut to pass that test." I sobbed. " If I can't win a one on one battle, what are my chances when I'm facing trainers with four, five, six pokemon to their name? Me and Blaze can't even beat one on our own, much less six. If it wasn't for his spirit, he would have fallen long ago, and I wonder if his spirit might be broken now that he lost so badly. His pride was his power." I explained. " And now I'm not so sure. This was supposed to be a practice battle, and it ended up a bloody massacre." I wiped my eyes so my tears wouldn't land on Blaze's Pokeball and cause it to rust.

I woke up."Unhhh how is it that, that one Ralts keeps beating me but whats the point know one will ever believe me about that Ralts *sigh* o well."I picked up Shroomie."Lets go in little pal we both need rest but first i need to ask Nat if she'll do my picture tonight."I ran inside and went to the areana."Hey nat are u gonna do my picture tonight or should i wait?"

OOC: I'll be posting in third person...wait...no...Arcanine and my character have the same names. I guess I'll have to stick with first person.

IC: I walked into the battle arena, seeing all my friends fighting each other. Eyeing Nat and Sean battling, I desided just to keep away from them, after what happened at the beginning of the year, I wasn't sure what to make of their relationship.

Instead I settled with watching the others combat. Blaze entered after not being with me for about a week, since he spent all his time training to be strong and powerful. He paid the trainers no heed, just having a thirst to battle.

Sitting down on the bleechers I happily watched the others battle, while Blaze went to explore the arena, I would have ordered him to stay by myside, but he was strong enough and large enough, no one smart enough would pick a fight with the deadly opponent.

Nat grimaced. "I should have warned you," she whispered softly. "I'm not the same person when I'm battling. I... I get hardened to everything but the battle. I battled my mum once, nearly killing Ruby in the process because I needed to win that match. Trust me, winning's not everything it's cracked up to be..."

She paused remembering the day. She had pushed Ruby so hard, phisically and mentally. The Raichu had been depleated of all power, nearly bleeding to death from wounds from her mother's Persion, Pounce.

The small teen shook her head. "His spirit isn't broken. If I know the look he gave Ruby, now all that will matter is that he trains hard enough to someday beat her. I think that determination alone will win you many more than 7 battles."

She rose, feeling quite ashamed of herself. "I think I'd better get going," she whispered. "I'm.... sorry I was so cold..." she added before starting her walk off the field.

Small dots of darkness blotted the ground beside her as she walked away, indicating that her tears were dripping off her cheeks into the dust.

I carried Hri pokeball in both hands. I wanted to follow her, to tell her it wasn't her fault, that I was pushing him too hard and should have pulled him out sooner, but I found myself lost to words, unable to comfort her guilt. instead I began walking down after her toward the main lobby. Perhaps they knew of a pokemon center nearby.

"I need to go to my room, like my roomies even there."I walked off once i got to my room i began playing my harmonica.*Nat is right i shouldn't push Shroomie so hard its not right what if that Ralts acutually hurt him i couldn't bear to see him hurt.*I began playing a song that always soothed Shroomie after a battle."Thats it little friend take a nice long rest u deserve it."

Nat smiled through her tears. "I'm just not the same person when I'm battling. And... and I'm so ashamed..."

"Of course you aren't. Neither am I, neither is most of the people. It's called determination. And if you got that, you're more aggressive." I said drying her eyes. "you have no reason to be crying. If you'd like, I could show you what I'm like when I'm battling. And I guarentee that's a scary sight." I tease chuckling.

"*sigh* Maybe i'm not good enough for this shcool, maybe i should just leave."I gazed down at Shroomie as he lay there sleeping."Hmm Shroomie seems to like it here i can't become a good trainer if i give up so i'm gonna stay."I walked into the hall and turned off the light so Shroomie could rest."I need some coffee i'm goin to that place across the street."Hello again."Hello what'll it be he said."Same thing i had earlier."I got my coffee and walked back over and smiled."Hehehehehe i have a one bedded room."I went into the academy and went to the cafe to drink my coffee."*sip* what a day everything hasn't been easy like i thought."I leaned back in my chair drinking my coffee."Hahahahahahaha i'm hungry again" as i heard my stomach rumble.

I had caught up with Nat, as she had stopped on teh way down to talk to blaze. I felt guilty making her feel bad like that, especially since her raichu had gotten jstu as hurt as Torchic and possibly even more so. "Hey, nat," I began quietly. " I'm really sorry about what Torchic did to Ruby. I shouldn't ahve let the urge to win overwhelm my judgement and care for my pokemon or yours. And I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I could understand if you don't want to talk to me again, but I jsut wanted to say that it was an honor battling you, and maybe one day when Torchic is capable of handling tougher opponents, we can have a rematch." I began walking by, not daring to lock eyes with her lest Blaze saw it as reason to get offensive again.
