The Best Overall Team (Unofficial)

mismaguis is nice.. but i thought this team wanted some speed? gengar or alakazam perhaps? choice scarf porygon Z?

Well we could go with any Pokemon you suggested but no offense Vainz we are taking the weakness analysis alitte to far and it is hard to make a team. That was the only reason I even supported Cradily to be honest.

With Milotic and now Ludicolo on the team we shouldnt fear Ice Beams.

Id like Garchomp to replace Cradily. There has always been more Physical Sweepers then Special Sweepers. Not to mention most Special Sweepers with high speed tend to be frail. I like Togekiss because its strong, can outrun at least some of the metagame and can take a hit wthout shattering to pieces.

I say we dont need a Special Sweeper as Milotic and Togekiss along with Ludicolo can cover that area to a certain extent.

We only have one physical sweeper and if Metagross goes down we will have a hard time I am sure of it. So an extra buddy that MEtagross is scared of wouldnt hurt. Garchomp is overused and it is like that for a reason.

I see your point about the Ice Beam, but in the back of my mind, i know we will still have a team that is half weak to ice. If a majority of people dont see it as a problem, than you can put Garchomp on, but it will personally bug me. I only said Garchomp is OU because its true, and every team in existance should have a Garchomp counter. If it dosent, then the team probably sucks. If every good team will have some kind of Garchomp counter, it may be better to go with another choice that wont cause half our team to be weak to ice. Im just saying. When making the Best Team, we have to consider what other people are going to use.

I would like to suggest Weavile. Fast & Strong.

Well Milotic, Ludicolo and the rest of the team cept for Metagross can counter Garchomp easily.

But there is a way for us to have a Special Sweeper Garchomp. A variant that employs trickery that no one would expect.

Garchomp@Life Orbs
Naugthy Nature (+Atk, -Sp. Def)
252 Sp Atk / 252 Spd /6 HP
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast

Send in Garchomp and most people would switch out and send in thier Grachomp counters. Or you are in a battle and use Swords Dance and they switch out expecting an Earthquake or Dragon Claw. Then hit them with a Draco Meteor. This could work because Draco Meteor is insanly powerful. (210 BP with STAB). With Stealth Rock support and all that it is nearly an instant KO.

Sure this can work on Salamence but everyone is familar with Specsmence. : /

Just sometihng fun to think about.

Sigh. What about Weavile? Fast & strong.

Sorry I didnt see that.

I was typing ad editing things for a while so I didnt know anyone posted bofore me.

Yeah I do like Weavile but its up to the rest of the team.

No prob. I just wonder why no one suggest him earlier.

Would Weavile take the place of Garchomp if he was on the team?

The only thing I have a problem with is I prefer more physical sweepers on a team then special sweepers.

Well, Weavile's moveset hits every type (Ice Punch, Brick Break) And with Choice, it hitx hard n' heavy.

Sorry, this is nessecary to make a great team.

Quite freakin true. Sorry but if you dont have the patience to build a team then this thread isnt for you. Sure I may grow a tad weary of this this but if certain issues arise I will argue another 10 pages if I have too.

Ok, Weavile is pretty good. Would he go in if we get rid of Cradily, which we will. I think that would be nice. How many physical pokes do you want Punishment. I would like to say that if you hang on just a little bit longer, we will almost be done. Its really only left to the last poke. Even i am getting tired of all those exchanges, but i believe that we are close to a break through. Is this the team you guys are asking for?

Ludicolo
Cladyol
Milotic
Togekiss
Metagross
Weavile

This seams like a pretty good team. And we even got a couple of original choices in there. I dont know what other physical poke we could put in punishment. Everything is balanced as far as i can see, not to many weakness, power balanced, and not to many OU. This team fits all of my requirments.

I know its a little overused but i think we should consider a Stealth rocking, physical Sweeper Aerodactyl. They're fast and strong like Weavile but I find them harder to take down. its defenses are better and its HP is higher. Plus the fangs, Earthquake, Stealth Rock, Iron Head and Rock Slide just to name some, are options in its move pool. Its attack's a little less but it has more staying power, which helps.

Of course Weaviles a little less expected and more UU/BL.

Edit:I posted this before I even knew you were considering Aerodactyl for your personal team Vainz.

I don't think so. Half this team can be taken out with Electric and/or Fire attacks. There shouldn't be more than one Pokemon of the same type. I would recommend putting a good-natured Fire-type on that team, and maybe throw in some Fighting, Electric, and Ground types.

That there is actually more helpful than a random team post, thanks. But how would one of those types help? What can they hit that the others can't? What you said is to completly redo the team, which is a bit extreme. Also, more than one type can work, as long as they accomplish something different.
I'm not critizing your advice, but before its taken, I wanna know why we should take it.

At the same time, cool it with the tone. We don't like it when some hotshot thinks he can waltz here & tear the team apart. We saw the team you posted-it wasn't good.

Well, for one thing(this is totally up to you), but I wouldn't have Milotic on there. It's a great Water type, but highly vulnerable to Electric and Grass moves. How about a rock type like Rampardos? Either that, or teach one of those Pokemon Stone Edge and maybe Swords Dance. Here's what I'd have for Claydol:

Earthquake
Hypnosis
Swords Dance
Stone Edge

Hold something like a Peyata Berry, but give it some attack Medicines first. (Carbos, Iron, Elixir, etc.)

I actually disagree (in a friendly debate kind of way of course :))

I have used Milotic over and over and she does not fear grass types. In fact most Grass types switch out on her (with the exception of Ludicolo). Why? The standard Milotic has Ice Beam as part of her arsenal. With even minimal EVs in Sp. Atk any grass type that remains will be KOED or dented. She usually outruns most of the grass types too at 81 base speed.

As for electric attacks she too can hold her own with that Sp. Def. My Milotic has no Sp Def EVs and she can hold her own against a Thunderbolt. Long enough so she can send a Hypnosis flying to stall with another Recover and force a switch.
