No... If you do that it's then walled by Poison types, get Extrasensory, HP Fire or Sunny Weather Ball

HP Fire/fire weather ball would also mean being sort of walled by Salamence/Garchomp. And for weatherball, you'd need someone to perform a Sunny Day.

Extrasensory would mean that it'd be walled by steels like Metagross and Bronzong.

Roserade @ Heat Rock (whatever it's called...that prolongs Sunny Day)
Timid
Natural Cure

Solarbeam
HP Ice/Weather Ball
Sunny Day
Sleep Powder

We could try Breloom instead, but it has 4x weakness to flying.. and a weakness to pretty much everything you'd find on a typical 'good' team. (Ice, Fire, Psychic, Bug, Poison... bleh)

I still say we should use Roserade because... no one really uses grass types do they? They'd be extremely surprised if they sent out Garchomp or Salamence for type advantage...only to be crushed by a HP Ice.

We obviously wouldn't just leave it there against anything strong against it... (Fliers..switch to Metagross, Fires switch to special wall... etc..)

Dragons have a problem with a Bronzong... (just speculating a few potential replacements). I got this idea from the battle tower after like 50+ victories... It seems that my sweepers would always get torn apart by Bronzong's Trick Room...only to turn my special wall into a sweeper :S

Standard Choice Scarf Roserade:

-Leaf Storm
-Sludge Bomb
-Shadow Ball
-Hidden Power [Fire]

Roserade is very frial. 60 base HP and 55 base Def are really below average. 90 base speed is above average but not fast enough. Roserade needs to hit hard and fast. I'd rather not rely on weather moves. Roserade would be lucky if she could do a Sunny Day without dying next turn.

I say we stick to Gengar. Mine is classic Wide Lens Focus Blast Shadow Ball Hypnosis set, with Energy Ball instead of Thunder Bolt. Roserade is a little to flimsy to be the best. And lets see, we have Jolteon-Electric, Donphan-Ground, Blissey-Normal, Bronzong-Steel/Psychic. if we have Gengar, then we still ned a strong phyichal sweper.

I use Metagross personally, but Bronzong fills hid type. DDmence would have good coverage, and can rip through a few teams, but Im think DDnite, Thinderpunch, its awesome.

DDmence gets my vote... after experiencing how much havoc it can cause a team anyway

DDnite is probably more effective. With the small attack drop, It gains a boost in the Special Defense. Its worth it. There's barely any difference between the attack stats. And DDnite can squeeze in a Special Move.

What about Gengar? And yes DDnite is a little more effective. If I listed the typing, I believe overall it would be Electric Ground Normal Steel-Psychic Ghost-Poison Dragon-Flying. It covers everything if Im not mistaken.

Perhaps a few non-OUs should be used. They're a nice surprise because they can be unexpected.

But then again, a good non-OU is hard to find...

The thing about the OUs is that they are OU for a reason, plus it's hard to choose the others and be biased, I only really use Pokemon I like, but not everyone agrees with what I choose as the best

You said what I've been saying for a while. Wr shouldn't be using UU for the sake of surprise. And we are not looking for originality. OU's work. Raichu works very well for me, and it's UU. But it won't work for this team.

Donphan's more under the category of physical Tank. Does he need any HP EV's though? Or are we just focused on setting up pokes first.

And just throwing two more names out there, that have been discussed before. Gengar and Dragonite? Gengar gives us speed and Dragonite has decent Sp. Def( not like Blissey doesn't have enough).
Defense (and speed) win Championships right. Only problem is we have two weak to ground and I'm not sure if we have a suited counter.

Three pages later and it's finally being discussed.

Okay anyways, I like Dragonite better than Salamence these days, with the right EV's and nature, Nite could survive an Ice beam from Milotic. I actually worked it out and Dragonite would have somewhere between 9-34 Hp. left. (or something around there).

I still support Kingdra but Offense is obviously our biggest issue and we have lots of defense.
I don't support Gengar as much but I think we need him more.

Gengar is one of the most supreme speical sweepers. We need OU Pokemon just because, well UU isnt as good XD. And Dragonite with DD and Outrage, well thats just plain AWESOME!

I don't like Outrage on Dragonite, after one Outrage the opposition's free to switch in with a steel type and you have no choice but to hit it with another Outrage or no move at all.

I actually still prefer Dragon Claw or even Dragon Rush (not that i like DR's 75% accuracy at all) over it.

I know a STABed Dragon Claw is only 120 and not 180 base power, but if that steel type switches in, you got Earthquake.

Well, one DD+STAB+120 base power and you're back to the base power when a steel comes in. If you see a switch coming, you can always have fire blast for steels, like chainchomp.

DDnite is rather bulky too, as in, focus sash would be a waste on it really...unless you FEAR ice beam. But yeah, maybe a mixed DDnite set would work? It has a great attacking movepool to utilize...

EDIT: Yeah, fire punch would be nice...

Not with some sp. def EV's we don't. I was just thinking though, Dragon's may get walled by Steel but Ice, Electric and Dragon are the only weakness' so physical Ice, Electric and Dragon moves are it's only big OHKO threat. Unless you get an ice beam coming from a Porygon-Z.

That's why i say Thunder Punch, it can take out its biggest threat that's not covered. There's not very many peer ice types are running around, more water types with ice moves. And we already have EQ for steel's.
