I need to get my eyes checked out... I knew my vision has been declining for a while now. Nowhere near the point of being worried that I'm going blind or anything but... it's noticeable.

On the bright side, can't go wrong with coloured contacts!

I actually plan on doing the double dip. Regular doctor then eye doctor shortly afterwards.

I appreciate anyone who donates blood, it helps preserve and it can save many lives, including mine.

Unfortunately, I can't donate blood due to the disease I once had. :(

I had thoughts to give blood when I was younger, although I don't think my blood as it is now would do anyone much good given my current health. xD

I know they have to be careful and particular with blood, but damn if that isn't a lot to ask people to read...

Speaking of blood (lol this is a bad sentence to start with):

Has anyone donated blood before? I have a few times last year; I'm considering doing it again when I get the chance!

No, but I'm thankful for those who do as I have to receive transfusions every so often due to low blood levels.

I used to have a terrible phobia of needles...then I had to have blood tests every week for about six months when I was a teenager and my health took a significant turn for the worse. By the end of it I didn't.

That's the same as me, I always need them to check my hemoglobin ;;

My blood wouldn't even be helpful, I have severe iron deficient anemia.

I actually think my blood would be useable - if there was anything wrong with my blood I would know, since I'm still required to have tests done every month - but it turns out I don't weigh enough to give it. Not that I've seen one of those mobile clinic things in a while...they used to be all over this area. Huh.

I've only had to give blood once to get it analysed when I used to do track. I'm afraid of needles but it's fine as long as I don't look. But similarly to Artorius Collbrande, I don't think my blood can be used as it's low in iron and hemoglobin, though it's not as severe as anemia, I'm an 'unaffected' carrier.

Strangely enough, I have to look when I'm being given a needle. I just need to make sure they're doing it right lol

It's not fun when they do it wrong...they usually stick it in you again. When I was younger they used to have to stick me 3 or 4 times just to get blood =x

Plus...isn't it natural to keep an eye on someone if they're sticking something sharp and painful in your skin?

I just look away and trust them :(

i had to close my eyes when getting fillings recently. bad thing about injections in your mouth is it's literally right in front of you.

I remember when I was a kid my parents had this cream they rubbed on my arm before I went to get blood drawn that would numb the area. Then when I went to go get a CAT scan for my first kidney stone we didn't know they were going to inject me with dye, and I almost threw a fit because I didn't have the cream that time. {XD}
