Clan war thread up. Leave participant discussion out of it, keep it here.
Who wants to be a representative? ABAY doesn't want some of his less experienced members representing his clan yet, which is understandable, so I agreed to the idea. My guess is that we will have somewhere around 8 - 10 people representing the clan, maybe more maybe less.
If you want to be a representative, please do the following:
1st - Post why SOMEONE ELSE in the clan you nominate should be a representative and why.
2nd - Post why YOU should be a representative and why you should NOT be a representative (if you think you are perfect you can say so but...).
For example... *clears throat*
I nominate Ooka to be a representative for the Clan. He is a highly active and experienced battler who I can expect and depend on to answer many of the challenges issued by the members of The Generation. He has beaten me quite a few times, so I can tell he isn't unskilled. He has tested many of our members so I know he has a lot of experience can also expect him to be able to nominate another good battler among us.
I would not be a good representative in this battle for a few reasons. One, I am often not available due to school. While my current thesis work is complete I will never know when the next load will come crashing down upon me. I also don't always use the best judgment in pokemon battles and often make beginner mistakes (most recently notable, using Will-O-Wisp on a Blaziken when Fire types can't be burned). My teambuilding is also a little lacking, as I tend to make the pokemon then put them together in a team (as opposed to making the team then the pokemon to fill it). I also dislike using strong commonly used pokemon like Salamence, Garchomp, Tyranitar, Blissey, Gyarados, and so forth, which unnecessarily cripples myself.
However, I am not the worst battler. My good working knowledge of pokemon, movesets, builds, and so forth along with my speedy damage calculation helps me make better decisions. I have made several very successful non-standard builds (not saying which!) which have surprised many opponents. I may be inexperienced at teambuilding, but I don't make terrible choices for members by a long shot and my movesets are usually well thought out.
