[Pokémon] The Cosmic Channelers: Psychic types club

Hey, now that I'm a part of the club, I just have to ask, what do we do to deal with those dark types?

Cus think of it: they are super-effective against us, they have moves that take advantage of us, and further more, we can't even hit them without Miracle Eye! Like, whenever I see someone with a dark-type team, I am always the one to start panicking mentally, and only a Calm Mind can keep me focused on the battle at hand.

Any advice?

We got 3 new Psychic type Pokemon in the DLC's for SV; Munkidori, Iron Boulder, Iron Crown.

How do you feel about these Pokemon?

With the Paradox swords of justice trio now complete, which of the three do you like the most? Do you like any of these Paradoxes more than their original?

Do you think they should've given us a future Paradox Keldeo as a new mythical?

A Psychic/Fairy type like Gardevoir or Hatterene should be able to deal with them. Alternatively a Psychic/Fighting type like Gallade or Medicham =3
They aren't weak to Dark and can hit them super effectively =3

I don't like Munkidori, like the rest of the group. Unfortunately, I find the monkey pokemon design a bit lazy overall, but working in some scenarios. I don't see anything in particular in Munkidori and the rest of the group.

I like Iron Crown, which is pretty cool, while Iron Boulder is just extremely similar to Terrakion.

I overall don't really like the Justice Trio. I prefer Virizion over the rest. In this case, I feel like Iron Crown is much better than the others. Maybe it's just the use of colors, that I really appreciate. Overall, the Justice Trio and its Paradoxes are just way too similar, so it's hard to choose one over another, but I'd say Virizion over Iron leaves, but Paradoxes over Terrakion and Cobalion.

Probably yes. But maybe they didn't because they would have made another mythical pokemon that is based on a mythical pokemon already.

Unown is a neat little gimmick Pokemon with 28 different forms. They can only learn Hidden Power and seemingly serve no real purpose in the games, at most giving some hints for some puzzles. There are several ruins with Unown writing in the games and in PLA you have to search them all out through some hide and seek.

Do you like Unown as a Pokemon? Would you like there to be something more to them?

If there was something more to Unown in a future game, what would you like it be?

Have you ever tried collecting them all? Did you succeed?

I love Unown! They are one of the most interesting Pokémon in the game. I like the idea of them being insipred from the alphabet and especially, I love the wave of mistery around them.

I wish they were stronger, like more useful in battle. I also wish they had a bigger role in the lore of Pokémon. Not knowing enough about them makes them interesting, but we also know they're very important, because for example they can be found in important areas and moments of the games. I feel like GF should have explored their lore more. Other than that, I wish they would appear more often. It's since gen 4, well ok also PLA, that Unown don't have their own specific cool location.

Have you ever tried collecting them all? Did you succeed?

I tried a couple of times and I didn't succeed, also because I probably didn't try hard enough. I'm planning to do it for my 100% completion of Pokémon Platinum.

Pops in for Gifts of Surprise 2024. Cannot Wonder Trade in Generation 7 or earlier anymore. Lacks a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Accesses the Wonder Trade option in Pokemon Home (free version), though. Appears to trade three Pokemon after exactly one hour.

Split the starting box into two. Stranded an Alolan Rattata and a Spinda in Home. Ignore those.

Sent out the following:
  • 12 Armarouge: Modest nature with a minimum of 5 perfect IVs.
  • 10 Indeedee: Modest nature with a minimum of 5 perfect IVs. Has the hidden ability (Psychic Surge). Lives in a Moon Ball too.
  • 6 Oranguru: Calm nature with a minimum of 5 perfect IVs. Caught them in a Heal Ball.
  • 2 Scream Tail: Freshly caught in Heal Balls. Nothing particularly special about them. May appreciate a version exclusive. (Chose Oranguru for the same reason.)
Spoiler: Starting Boxes

Apologies for kind of covering the Orangurus at the bottom. Will do boxes of 15 in the future.

The important result: 1 Psychic type (Galarian Slowpoke).

Other things of note: a level 20 Tapu Koko from Go, a 4 IV Japanese Ditto, a nicknamed Onix in a Dream Ball from Unova (with the hidden ability), and a few 4-5 IV Pokemon. Would have been a good one for the Ghost/Ice club with four Ghost types. Checked the Tera types too, just in case. Nothing unusual.

Spoiler: Ending Boxes

Used a Switch Home screen for the first result. Blocked the Pokemon at the bottom somewhat in the phone version.

Sent out a box full of 5 IV Delphoxes, all descendants from the Mightiest Mark raid one. There were a couple 6 IV's in there too.
All in a Dream Ball, with their HA Magician, and the same nature as the one from the raid: Timid. Also made sure the one IV that wasn't Best was not Sp. Attack... which took me 4 full boxes of breeding just to get 1 box full that met the criteria lol (and then I had to evolve everything... good thing I was swimming in Exp. Candy lol).

Spoiler:

And here's the result box. Got back 3 Psychic types (2 Slowpokes and a Gallade). There were multiple off regular Teras, but none Psychic. The Rellor had a Normal tera to name one.

Spoiler:

Mentions for the other clubs had this been their box:
-Got back 3 Bug or Poison types; Kricketot, Venonat, Rellor.
-Got back 3 Steel Tera Pokemon: The Riolu, Golem and Grookey. all were shiny and had site names though. Released them afterward. Not interested in hacked in shinies.
-Would've had the best result for Ghost/Ice here, 4 Ghost/Ice Pokemon: Shiny site Flutter Mane, CHS Sneasel, SP-EU Sandyghast and a Roaming form Gimmighoul from Go.

Would've been a fairly balanced box for whichever club this would've been for with these returns it seems.
