my work place randomly gifted me some fancy local vinegar just now lol. let's see if this stuff's any good.
236927 Oh cool, what kind of vinegar?
236928 it says "The Famous Simply Suka (vinegar in my native tongue), Sweet & Spicy: Artisanal & All Natural" on the front cover. ingredients are natural vinegar, salt, sugar, natural spices, & water. not a connoisseur or anything so i don't actually know if its good from just eye-balling it. but the packaging design does look kinda decent.

Looks unfiltered, sounds good! Can probably do some good marinades with it.

yay! gon keep this then :D what does filtered and unfiltered mean in the world of vinegar tho?
236931 So basically, a filtered vinegar isn't cloudy and has had the "mother" or starter culture removed, such as a SCOBY which is used to ferment the vinegar, also usually means it has been pastuerized. I drink unfiltered apple cider vinegar in the morning because the probiotics you get from the culture is great for your gut health.
Edit: SCOBY = symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, growing your own is super cool and under the right conditions, they will go crazy!
