The Count To Infinity - v12

There's definitely some people who will be still be angry or violent even to people who are being nice to them.
Some people are just jerks.

That's definitely true, and it's important to be able to stand up for yourself, but I've found that being kind and giving people the benefit of the doubt goes a lot further then being aggressive right out of the gate (as well as just being the right thing to do). You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, as they say.

If you want a forretress for yourself, you can headbutt the trees around the Lake of Rage. Pineco will fall out.

I imagine it would be a double edged sword. I don't think it's moveset is going to help much for damage, however the NPC's aren't going to be scratching it much either.

Steel has always been such a great type. It was also the original Dragon killer before Fairy types came along.

Forretress does not fare overly well against Special moves. I had to use an X. Sp. def on it to help it stay alive against Ultra Necrozma in UM.

Also Ice is the original Dragon killer... existed a generation earlier :sneaky:
If not an Ice type then I'd have an Ice move handy to deal with Dragons back in the older games.

@ReKoil Yeah I was mostly thinking from a competitive standpoint.

Ice has notoriously struggled defensively over there. (And then stealth rocks happened). So Steel types were more reliable for stopping Dragon Types because of the resistance.

Like, a dragon type could swords dance + outrage and run your entire team over.

What could stop that? Not an ice type (unless it was faster). You would send out a steel type.

Sadly, I don't play competitively anymore. But I had a couple years of interest in it. I'm sure fairy types are now the main thing against them.

But nowadays, all good Dragon type Pokémon can learn Earthquake, so that definitely dents the defensive stance of Steel types. Most of the steel types prefer stalling, like Corviknight or Necrozma-DM, with only exception being Zacian-C.

I remember that choice scarf boosted Fishious Rend from Dracovish was so strong that it could wipe the entire opponent teams if they don't have resistance to water.

For Dragons who use stat boosting moves, then the best way is to use things like Whirlwind or Dragon Tail. People also prevent that setup by using Encore or Taunt, with former being so notorious that you will press enter with disdain !!

That's why we need variety. Do you want me to close some threads? :P

Skimming back to this.

This is my least favorite thing about Off-Topic right now. 'What made you smile today' 'Emotion' 'What Pissed You Off'. These could all be condensed into one topic. They currently take up the front page and new threads fall off quicker.

Then you have 'What Are You Doing' and 'What Did You Eat'?. Again, that's basically the same idea.

That section is a mess. I value the chatting threads here as the subject continuously changes and more back and fourths are encouraged. I actually messaged a request for a mod to sticky a couple of them (to unclog the front page) but the feedback was only followed through for about a week.

I wish this forum had a designated feedback place.
