Same here. I'll basically try out any music, because I'm quite open minded as well. I don't want to be one of those people who never listen to a type of music just because of it's genre, where it comes from, etc, because you never know whether or not you'll actually like it until you listen. (unless you're really closed minded and will just hate it anyways).

Anyways, I'm contemplating recoloring my drawing because I was almost done coloring when my laptop shut off on me. >_> that's what I get for not saving, baw.

i try all genres of music and i like atleast one band/act from most genres
pretty cool xD

Metal can be considered a sub-genre of rock (even though it has got big enough to be considered a main genre already, that's where its roots are), and it has more sub-genres than any other kind of music I've known of. Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Glam Metal, Speed Metal, Power Metal, Groove Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Doom Metal, Gothic Metal, Progressive Metal, Industrial Metal, Folk Metal, Alternative Metal, Nü Metal, Symphonic Metal, Metalcore, Grindcore, Deathcore, Mathcore (and several other -cores)... The list goes on and on.

I try to be open-minded upon some of the genres, but it happens that some of them have got repetitive. All the same thing, again and again. Either that or some of the genres' main characteristics don't appeal to me (like the beat, the main instruments used or the vocals. Or even the lyrics, in some cases), and when a song from that genre comes out, I already know I won't like it, even though the artist may be good. Pop and rap being the main examples.

The genres I like the most are Hard Rock and Heavy/Thrash Metal, but I don't really mind listening to stuff from bands like Pendulum or The Prodigy once in a while, for example.

207267. reminds me of the fIrst day I got my Blackberry...
Now I just delete/read them whenever I get them.

Anyway, thanks for clearing that up Katalyst, I have the habit to generalize things to the "main" genre. Simply because I've never heard of it, or because I don't like to explain the differences between things like Salsa and Merengue.

@Pokey: Don't you even mention La camisa negra here if you don't want to be painfully massacred. Man was that song painful to listen to.

Also I have an excuse to link to an awesome song I discovered not too long ago |D

Let this be an excuse to post a song (actually it's a demo recorded several years ago) that no one will care about is going to be re-made for the upcoming album, "TH1RT3EN". It's a cool song already, let's hope that it will still be this good, or even better.

That..That sounded really good actually. Until the guy started singing that is... Is there an instumental version of this?

Yeah, Mustaine's not the best singer. :p He's the first to admit it. But they couldn't find one when they started the band, so it had to be him. But they are so good at playing the instruments and at composing the songs that there are almost no complaints about that xD

And I doubt there's an instrumental version. This was written and recorded around 1992, but was not released on either "Countdown to Extinction" or the followup album "Youthanasia". The demo was released around 1995 in the Japanese version of "Hidden Treasures", and due to the recording quality (it's common to be like this in demo songs), it's hard to separate the vocals with an external program. I tried searching, but couldn't find any. :/

Ah, oh well, doesn't really matter that much... I don't usually listen to these kinds of music. I know you have posted some of their songs before, but this is the only I somewhat like.

Anyway, I'm off to bed, See Y'all!

Night ya'll.

Quick drawing before work. Trying to get use to my tablet again, now that I have a table to draw on. So handy.
