Everyone who celebrates the new year gets an Emblem for said year. It's a rare occurrence where 'Do X. Get Emblem.' applies as opposed to 'Do X by doing Y. Get Emblem.' or just isn't easy to get. The Smexy/Manly/Striking Moderator Emblem for example. o3o
