It's a very fun game when played with your friends.
Otherwise forget it, single-player Minecraft is just boring. XD
And yeah, having a decent computer would help in the long run. I seem to be around people who play with their 3-4GB laptops and whoo boy do I feel sorry for them. The amount of lag they get is abysmal.
