I saw the Japanese live action version of Dragonball Z, they were decked out with costumes, makeup and everything, it was actually alright. The story, special effects and actual fight scenes however were uh...not as good. ^^;

X3 Ehehe.. the buget's supposed to be 100 million.. so I'm hoping that it'll be good. At least.. it better be. So many people have expectations that it should be good.
I mean.. come on.. it's DBZ. No one would wanna mess up a classic like that.

I hope you enjoy it. :D

I think it's the fact that it's a classic that makes it hard not to muck it up though. I've only seen the guy who's gonna play Goku in one movie, The Invisible, and he doesn't strike me as someone who could play a carefree and light-hearted character all that well. I'm not expecting this movie to be great but I do hope it surprises me and proves me wrong. As you said, 100 million isn't the kind of money you play around with.

You never know. Jim Carey surprised a lot of people when he played in such hits as Eternal Sunshine... since he was primarily a comedy actor. Soo.. you never know~
 
I saw the Number 23 and I thought it was... okay. My mom and I watched it together and we have a tendency to talk and comment on the whole movie so we kind of ruined it for each other. XD;

As for the DBZ movie, I worry about that. The show is just so violent. Like, you don't notice it because it's just animation, but man if they translate it properly into RL actors and actresses... it's probably going to have too high a rating. :x
 
I don't know about the DB movie... I mean it's based off an anime from years and years ago. For one thing... if you're going to make a movie you need people to watch it... if you guys are talking about the DragonBall movie then it's based off of the original and not DBZ (or so says Jorfe... XD)... I don't know, I just don't see it going anywhere.
 
I remember watching an episode of DB… and it was far more entertaining than the episode of DBZ…
Goku was doing something in a tent … that's all I remember xD

I found that out months ago. If they have a one hundred million dollar budget, I'm expecting it to be good. But they'll mess it up somehow. The Saiyans probably won't even have blonde hair when they go all strong and stuff.
 
I'm personally waiting to see how M. Night Shayamalan does with his live action version of Avatar: the Last AirBender.
The DB movie just seems like it might end up a flop to me. I'm not sure why, but it does.

I'm honestly freaked out by the concept of this movie. WHERE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY MADE THE MANGA/ANIME? They're no part of the actual movie directing! Hopefully it's not insanely generic..or crazy powering up for 15 minutes like in the show.

The DB movie doesn't sound like it's going to do too well, imo. I mean, I'd go and watch it, but I don't know how good it's actually going to be. We'll just have to wait and see~ n_n

I just heard about this earlier on today, but I still don't really understand the how it will work in live action, seeing as roughly 80% of the series was split between characters just standing in place, screaming, or fighting insanely fast 200+ feet up in the air ._.

But whatever, I'll probably end up seeing it eventually anyways, despite the fact that I stopped following DB when I was like, 9 xD;

...why is it that every day the title of the DCC thread seems to change for absolutely no reason whatsoever? ._.;
 
There is only one brand of cereal that is superior to the rest. Diamond Shreddies. Dump sugar on those bad boys and you're set for the day.

Yes, I am aware that Diamond Shreddies are just regular Shreddies turned sideways! >_>
