I prefer the 4kids dub on yu-gi-oh! then the Japanese dub but other wise I like the Japanese dub better than english dubs, though the english dubs of FMA, Speed Grapher, CCS, NGE are pretty good, I just hope the Gurren Lagann english dub is good
 
Yugioh was one that I did like the dub of - though I watched both version of it.
 
Ah Yu-Gi-Oh, the first anime Iever watched :D
I thought the dub was pretty good for the most part ^^ but Ive never heard the Japanese one so I cant make an unbiased arguement
 
Well supposedly they edited out things for the dub but I am not 100% sure. Sammi knows all about it.
 
The dub was butchered horribly D:
I heard rumors about an uncut re-dub though, so that might patch things up :|

The first DVD should have been out in like... FEBRUARY. Tell me if you find it plz, cause it's driving me insane. But from what I know about the actors, Vic Mignogna's playing Viral so that'll be AWESOME as long as Vic can get his voice a little deeper. Some newbie's playing Simon. I forgot his name and I'm too lazy to look it up, but I know he'll do a great job as older Simon, but as for short Simon, I have no idea x_x

I'm really pissed at the Gurren Lagann dub isn't out yet. I know they had some probs, but I want to see it so bad... ;.;

For me, I don't care if it's dub or sub. I watch Bleach in both dub and sub forum and I don't care. I personally like the Code Geass dub... but it takes a week to get an ep out, and sometimes I just don't feel like waiting and want to go sub.
 
I never bothered with the Code Geass dub, cause I have the sub on my computer XD;

And I KNOW. They advertised that it would be out in February but no one can find it. I made it a stupid habit of looking for it when I go to the mall even though I know it won't be there.

There were a lot of shake ups in the world of anime at that time, a major US dubber ended up shutting down and I think their titles went off to different studios.

For instance, there's the eternal Mexican vs Spanish Simpsons dub debate. I'm Mexican and I personally prefer it dubbed by Mexicans; some of my comrades prefer it in English for its "freshness" and I'm yet to meet a Spanish fellow who doesn't prefer it dubbed in Spain.

I'm Mexican myself and I prefer the English dub, well the older episodes anyway, I've actually liked the newer Spanish stuff a little more.

That is what I remember from Sammi but its been a long time since I talked to her about the subject.

I think it'll be sometime before we see the GL dub... if we see it at all.
I wanted it so bad, and I was spazzing over it when I heard they were going to dub it. Only to find out that they "might" have dropped it... ;.;

They had a commercial and everything... even though the commercial was horrible and didn't have any of the voice actors talk ;;

I loved the commercial. XD
True, it didn't have any of the VAs, but I still found it awesome/funny/something.
For some reason... I just don't think GL would sale as well over here then it would in Japan. I mean setting aside the fact that the Japanese are really into anime, I just don't see the DVD boxsets getting millions of copies sold.
 
Promotion. Some guy watches GL and thinks "Hey, this is pretty cool, maybe I should buy some DVDs of it", it's good for both the dubbing studio and the channel, higher ratings and more sales. XD
 
But it's also not a huge anime. Those who have seen it are really into it, but I'm the only person at my school who knows about it :/

What plays on AniMonday? I never bothered to look ._.

I know that... but I don't see how GL would get on TV, I don't think it'd make it on Sci-Fi.... or anywhere for that matter. XD

I have no idea... but I think it's random stuff... Maybe American anime..... XD
I always get my anime from online so I never cared to look.

...I'm one for rumors... This sucks XD;
I heard that Adult Swim was gonna show it, because they showed Eva, and FLCL. But that's obviously a lie cause the dub isn't out yet, so it was just an assumption.

I don't care either way, the Japanese dub is great (Simon was done by a BOY.), and I have the series and the uncut episode 6 on my computer, so I'm content with what I have. XD
